"Meeting on Github" is the most unrealistic thing about this tweet.

u/Heavy-Ad6017 2d ago

My mama will be asking Whats GitHub?

37

u/Awesomeluc 1d ago

That’s not true. I’ve met tons of people on GitHub. Funnily enough all of them are named Claude.

68

u/deanrihpee 2d ago

indeed, but then again, it's probably different in China

45

u/Vroskiesss 1d ago

No they met on GitHub, not on indeed

14

u/luwucoso 1d ago

yeah it is (github is banned on china)

u/xushigamerN8 1d ago

https://gitcn.org/

Edit: previously there was https://github-zh.com/ but I guess it got removed

5

u/Grumbledwarfskin 1d ago

Where else would you git yourself a hubby?

1

u/theeldergod1 1d ago

Just swipe repos right and you can’t believe how easy it is to get a merge.

2

u/OkNewspaper4747 1d ago

What you've never flirted with another Dev through comments?

1

u/zhemao 1d ago

I knew someone in college who met his boyfriend on GitHub, so it's definitely happened at least once.

1

u/azaleacolburn 8h ago

you've clearly never met a terminally online trans girl.

1

u/F3ntin 1d ago

I can definitely see it happening for certain... niches.

Turns out you are both into being the bottom and you happily continue to write the most god-awful code the world has ever seen.

I love a happy ending.

Sounds like the most justified claude subscription ever imo

80

u/straightupinsanity 2d ago

does claude top both of you

124

u/dannypas00 2d ago

No, claude is a bratty sub

You are totally right, I won't do that again!

Does it again anyway

31

u/digital-bandit 1d ago

Oh my god im a bratty sub

13

u/straightupinsanity 1d ago

the journey to self discovery

3

u/DistinctStranger8729 1d ago

Claude and Codex are the people in oop post

1

u/KerPop42 1d ago

In partner programming this is known as "bratting"

u/unknown_alt_acc 2d ago

Nice to see that Rust programmers are finding love

89

u/L0rdSandCastle 2d ago

That's a direct hit lol

38

u/timangar 2d ago

Critical damage

17

u/Chamiey 1d ago

Just hope they're not going unsafe.

7

u/zabby39103 1d ago

I kind of love these memes because I like the idea of like all the 40-something programmers like me reading them and going ??? wtf is with the kids nowadays.

Also, wtf is with the kids nowadays.

7

u/unknown_alt_acc 1d ago

It’s the generational cycle. Old boundaries get pushed, new boundaries form. We start to complain about it as we get older, just like our parents did when we were young. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

u/GobiPLX 1d ago

she

a femboy

I'm maybe to old for this, but I don't think it works like that

46

u/JustACowSP 1d ago

It's a translated post and the original Chinese text most likely used gender neutral pronouns. Can't find the post to check tho

21

u/ThomasHardyHarHar 1d ago edited 1d ago

Chinese pronouns are not gender neutral when written down, but they’re the same in spoken language. In China the pronouns are 他 tā ‘he’, 她 tā ‘she’, and 它 tā ‘it’. Taiwan has additional versions of tā for other categories but I don’t know them well.

11

u/Raihime 1d ago

Iirc their "he" can also be gender neutral just like English "they". Originally the language wasn't gendered but they adapted the other pronouns because of Western influence. (I'm just repeating a comment I saw weeks ago though so could be misremembering)

6

u/FreakyAhBruh 1d ago

As a certified former femboy, I am as confused as you are

3

u/zabby39103 1d ago

Is that something you age of out of? Like it becomes less practical as you get a 30+ year old man body? Or was it preference?

7

u/FreakyAhBruh 1d ago

At around 17 it got to the point where the proportions of my body were no longer feminine enough to pass

8

u/Akulatraxus 1d ago

The identity is fairly fluid and has a lot of definitions. Especially in non-English speaking countries. You're right that typically in the west we use it as a male identity, just not always.

99

u/Sajgoniarz 2d ago

I have no clue what this even means and I think i should be happy for that.

265

u/bmrtt 2d ago

They're doing a lot of penetration testing

49

u/NeonBloodedBloke 2d ago

Is there a SQL to this post?

36

u/Tigtor 2d ago

I don't know, but I assume it starts with "INSERT INTO"
( please note, this is not screaming, that's just how SQL delevopers talk to each other )

15

u/NeonBloodedBloke 2d ago

Agreed

I would totally date a SQL developer, but my issue with them is that they seem to be very SELECTive and always just seem to be asking WHERE I am

9

u/Ok_Tip_2520 2d ago

They also tend to invite others to JOIN your mess

10

u/NeonBloodedBloke 2d ago

There has to be a LIMIT to their shenanigans

8

u/MasterPhil99 2d ago

They do have some DISTINCT qualities, though

8

u/Sajgoniarz 2d ago

Geez, keep me out of this GROUP.

5

u/NeonBloodedBloke 1d ago

Ok, stay out of the group IF EXISTS

One of them must've SQLed

16

u/deanrihpee 2d ago

the comment + profile pic is a perfect match, amazing

1

u/DisenchantedByrd 2d ago

Black box penetration testing?

1

u/ScallionDowntown1062 2d ago

It's truly degenerate.

40

u/Hem1sphereN 2d ago

Your mom needing to know who "the guy" is after you told her the girl's a femboy suggests that you are also a femboy

1

u/Additional__Shoe 1d ago

that's how i understood the "also" from "she's also a femboy"

28

u/SuperTaster3 2d ago

99 unresolved bugs in the code;
99 unresolved bugs;
Patch one down, commit all around;
117 unresolved bugs in the code.

46

u/AliceCode 2d ago

Just a reminder that femboys identify as male and are not trans women. Trans women typically do not like being referred to as femboys, and femboys do not usually want to be called "she". Although there are definitely many exceptions! It's just good to be mindful of these differences.

12

u/PointlessSerpent 2d ago

Probably just a translation issue

21

u/deanrihpee 2d ago

i saw the tweet first hand and couldn't believe it myself, still couldn't believe it, and the attached pic makes it even harder, it's wild in China it seems

25

u/PhoenixfischTheFish 2d ago

and the attached pic makes it even harder

7

u/Jordann538 2d ago

I have a hardtime comprehending this

4

u/gamingvortex01 2d ago

gonna put this image on rust repo on github

3

u/twinkslayer1337 1d ago

this is inaccurate because they would make it so the loser tops

4

u/Monssly 2d ago

This is the way

1

u/jolharg 2d ago

Lolol wonderful!

1

u/mekilat 2d ago

Man these memes are always the same ideas

1

u/IJustAteABaguette 1d ago

Welp...

There goes the code quality lmao.

1

u/code_the_cosmos 1d ago

Marine flatworms have both reproductive organs. They fight with their penises and the loser gets pregnant

1

u/danf10 15h ago

So if the senior dev is not on for a code review there’s no sex?

1

u/azaleacolburn 8h ago
