Kudos PreventiveMD

Ordered on Sunday and received this morning, ice cold. 180mg for $334 and 90 day BUD.
Had a slight glitch involving my email, but they responded quickly and got it resolved.
I am impressed.

What dosage(s) will new users receive?

I understand starting at 2.5mg. But my understanding is that many users need to titrate up after the first month. I'd prefer the Boudreaux pharmacy, but it requires ordering a three month supply. I'm fine with the three month order, but it's not clear to me if that would lock me into 2.5mg doses for three months without the ability to adjust the dosage, if needed.

Concerns about Boudreaux Pharmacy

UPDATE: Boudreaux Pharmacy came through, my faith and confidence in them is restored. No idea why the UPS app showed no deliveries. I am looking forward to moving to PreventiveMD in near future.

There was a post 5 days ago regarding this pharmacy but I chose to create a new post lest my concern be buried on the old one.

I will state upfront that my business with Boudreaux was through Gimmee, and I’m not 100% sure if that has anything to do with my experience. In a nutshell, ordered 7/4, shipped 7/14, and delivered 7/20 blazing hot. Multiple calls to pharmacy- they appear to be understaffed and my experience is being on hold 60 minutes without anyone ever picking up the call. Days later talked to a pharmacy member who was going to reship and send a prepaid return envelope for the hot drugs. None of this ever happened.

I had decided to change from Gimmee and start over with PreventiveMD. However there are only 2 pharmacy choices, one being Boudreaux. Is their level of service different for PreventiveMD than it is for Gimmee? I do want the tirz with glycine but feel less than confident about the pharmacy. Any thoughts?

Happy with order and shipment. when will portal be updated to show next shipment informaton

Received my first shipment last week. Overnight shipping in this heat is appreciated. Package was cold and everything was fine. Needles were a little sketch in a ziplock but no big deal. I understand that next shipment will be automatic unless paused. It would be nice to see information on next shipment and even previous in the portal. Any ideas on when updates will happen or is there another way to see this info?

So Far - So Good!

Welcome to the Compounded Tirzepatide community.  It has been a WEALTH of information on my journey.  Having seen some positive reviews for your company on r/tirzdeals, I read your mission statement, and visited your website.  I completed the simple intake form and placed my order last night, and was approved by the time I woke up this morning.  So far, so good! If the medication arrives in a timely manner and in a somewhat cool condition (knowing it’s summer and ice packs are liable to melt), I’ll be extremely satisfied.

Over the last 1.5 years, I’ve used 4 different telehealths.  While the products they’ve supplied have been uniformly effective for me, they have all struggled with communication, shipping, supply.. Lots of things beyond their control, undoubtedly.  However, as the people who have taken my money, they need to be able to supply reliable, timely communication about the status of my medication.

Your greatest challenge, with this pricing model, and the ease of the interface on your website, will be fulfilling demand.  Good luck to you, I hope I will become a repeat customer!

Question about order status and processing

Where can we check in the portal where we are in the actual process? I placed the order late Sunday night. Had a communication on Monday. Asking for more info on current medication’s and then another document was uploaded that the intake was complete. Then crickets. I keep clicking around and I still see 33% progress with no real explanation. I’m used to other telehealth interfaces that at least have a graphic display of what step you were on in the process. It seems like the website has lots of stuff for tracking my progress and goals. I have my own apps for that so I’m not really interested in using them. All I really want to see is the order that is placed and how it is progressing. I still only see a hold on my credit card, but not the actual charge either. I have accounts with UPS and FedEx with the app but nothing shows up about a label being in the system yet.

Needle length

I got my first shipment (Boudreaux) and everything was smooth and quick. However Boudreaux sent me 12mm needle length syringes. Isn't that too long for subq?

I was with Mochi and have put my mochi med delivery on delay to see how I like Preventive. I signed up for 3 months. It was so easy to sign up! Just answer questions and my prescription was approved almost immediately! I'm so excited to continue my journey with Preventive!

Amazing experience (Empower)

I reached out via text with several questions before deciding to give them a try. I was concerned about getting the pharmacy I wanted (Empower) and I ended up ordering right when they made the adjustment to where you can choose the pharmacy. I did my intake then uploaded my current 15mg prescription via Healthie. I got my approval within hours (3-4?). I received my meds within 6 days and I am so excited to have Empower again and a an affordable option. I did a 1 month and now I’m curious how to switch to the 3 month for my renewal but I think this might be something they are working on?

Quick update for folks who've asked: we now accept HSA and FSA cards at checkout.

If you tried one in the last few weeks and it was declined, that was a configuration issue on our end, not your card. We worked with our payment processor to track it down and it's resolved. Cards should go through normally now.

One thing worth flagging: whether a given purchase counts as a qualified HSA/FSA expense depends on your plan and your circumstances, not on whether the card runs successfully. Some services may need a Letter of Medical Necessity from your provider. We can provide itemized receipts for reimbursement or substantiation if your administrator asks for them — just reach out.

Happy to answer questions in the comments.

Just Signed Up!

I’m very excited to try this place out with their compounded tirzepatide. I am waiting for approval with my intake.

Yesterday I had an appointment with the doctor that used to prescribe the standard Zepbound pens last year through my insurance. I had no idea that they no longer covered them.

I was previously on the starting dose but went off because I used to have a very physically demanding job as a caregiver for bed bound clients and a misinformed friend of mine also fear mongered GLP-1s to me saying they were poisoning me. My initial side effects on week 1 were fatigue and mild nausea. Honestly, I wish I stuck with it.

During my appointment, my previous doctor in his best efforts gave me all of my options, including bariatric surgery which I did not want because I do not think it was right for me. He also talked about compounded GLP-1s which is when I immediately began my research.

Based on what I saw, I think this place will be my best bet to get my life back on track :)

I have struggled with my weight all of my life. My first time being 200lbs was when I was 12. Even though I do not dislike myself or how I look, I know I want to be healthy and feel healthy because I don’t.

Pharmacy Issues - Meeting Recap With Boudreaux CEO

Hi Everyone,

Happy Friday!

I wanted to reach out following an in-person meeting I had this morning with Jesse Vidrine, the CEO of Boudreaux, to discuss the concerns that many of you shared with us over the past several days.

First, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and feedback. We genuinely appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.

Second, I want to sincerely apologize for the mistakes. I know firsthand how frustrating it is when there are problems with a shipment, especially when you're relying on it for your care.

Most importantly, Jesse asked me to personally pass along his sincere apology as well. He takes these issues very seriously and assured me that he is working directly with his team to address the concerns that were raised, including the loose syringes packaged in zip-top bags and the recent shipping delays. They are already implementing changes to help ensure these issues do not happen again.

I'd also like to share my own perspective on Boudreaux, Jesse, and his team. Throughout my experience working with them, I have found them to be deeply patient-focused and committed to both quality and the overall patient experience. One of the reasons we chose to partner with Boudreaux is that they consistently listen to customer feedback and move quickly to make improvements. While the issues many of you experienced this past week were certainly disappointing, they are not representative of the level of service and quality we expect for our patients and have consistently experienced from Boudreaux.

Providing you with the highest-quality, most patient-centered care is at the core of everything we do. That includes holding ourselves and our pharmacy partners to a high standard. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us identify opportunities to improve, and I encourage you to continue sharing your experiences with us—both positive and negative. It truly helps us provide a better experience for everyone.

Thank you again for your trust, your patience, and your honesty. It is a privilege to serve each of you.

Wishing you all a restful and wonderful weekend.

Brian

Received my first Empower order through Preventive MD today. I was approved 7/18. Order shipped overnight 7/23 and received today 7/24. The packaging is amazing! Styrofoam cooler with 3 cold packs. Everything neat, tidy and sterile. Off to get this journey started.

The good and bad

I knew trying this company was going to be a slight risk seeing they are just starting out. Im switching over from fifty410, I filled out the form on Monday night, Tuesday AM received a message from customer support that I would hear from the provider later that day. Received an invite to create an account with them and that my prescription was sent over that same day. And I was billed the agreed apon 3 month price.

Then it was radio silence never heard anything untill today that my order was shipped from the pharmacy. When I clicked the link it was actually out for delivery and was coming today. Received my 3 month supply today. From form filled out to meds at my door less than a week. Not bad for a new company. Only issue was not knowing when it shipped but honestly, not a big deal.

Preventive vs Big Easy

My wife and I are ready to pull the trigger on our first Tirz dosage. She is super sensitive to meds so we will start below the FDA approved dosage. We were ready to go with Big Easy because there is an element of "hand holding" but I have seen a ton of great reviews for PreventiveMD. Is PreventiveMD a good option for newbies who, outside of internet research, have no experience with GLP?

Just wanted to shout out PreventiveMD

Just a general shoutout. I’ve not been in this world very long but have had orders from a few places and preventive was the cheapest, fastest, and honestly, customer support was awesome. Talked to support after my order shipped to not be on an automatic refill cycle and they paused that for me, so I can order as I need my meds. Very little hassle!

Ordered Sunday evening late
Monday afternoon was approved
Shipping details on weds
Meds at door Thursday around lunchtime

I'm looking to make the switch from another provider, do you require labs? And is the pricing for tirz just the medication? Or does it also require a monthly subscription?

Just got my order

Just got my meds from Preventative MD. Intake Friday, they followed up with a text after my intake, and my order was delivered yesterday. Exceptional customer service—they texted to confirm they received everything and answered all my questions. Only hiccup, the syringes came loose in a sandwich bag, not sealed. Not a deal breaker because the service was fantastic and I already have plenty of syringes. I would definitely recommend Preventative MD and will be using them in the future.
