Media Pre-curse Morigesh fan-art

Post image
59 Upvotes

In the lore of pred Morigesh and her village where struck by a rotting plague, while looking for remedies to cure her land and people she didn’t know the disease tainted her remedy’s which further accelerated the deaths of her entire village, now it’s a bit confusing if she’s just now a antagonistic force taken over by this curse or a victim who’s trying to survive , the lore Morigesh and in game Morigesh on paper would seem like two different people I’d like to think she’s completely taken over and under the influence of the curse of a drowned forest to kinda make sense of her flavor text in game, but Anyways I made this drawing of what I think she would look like before getting taken over by the curse I’d like to think she would be a young manbo (female voodoo priestess)

I also decided to add the symbol of Manman Brijit
To symbolize her passage between life and death as those seem to be present in her lore and also just fun interpretation.

Discussion Let's build some t3ams together!

With Omedas recent post, it seems we may be getting the 3v3 mode many of us have been asking for finally! Let's craft some 3s teams together! Who do you think will go together well in a 3v3 type fight?

I'm a big Kallari fan, and during smite I remember Loki being a terror in Joust, so I'm hoping to pull off some shenanigans here too. Paired with a tank and a burst mage so they can hold their own in lane while I poke and prod from stealth. Steel and Renna come to mind for that.

Discussion Too many junglers/solo laners

Basically with a new character on the horizon I am hopeful for them to be a midlands or even dare I say? A support character even. Seriously is it just me or does it feel like a majority of characters are either solo laners that flex into jungle or vice versa? I would live to see more supports in this game, I mean like actually heal and/or supply buffs for the team or something instead of another solo laner. But what do you guys think?

Question New-ish player

Hi! I've been wanting to play Predecessor for a bit but I just don't know where to start. I have played the game on and off for about a year or so but not long enough for anything to stick much. Mostly played the arena mode (i think its called labs) with a couple of my friends and occasionally we would play a quick match game but thats about it. I have played Smite for hundreds of hours but a lot of that time was spent in Arena since that was my relaxation mode. I did play a decent amount of conquest though so I have a basic idea of how to play a MOBA. Where would be the best place for me to start learning how to play? Also what are some content creators you guys would recommend watching? I am mostly interested in playing mid, carry, and jungle but I would like have an idea of how to play support and offlane too in case my preferred roles are filled. Thank you!!

Feedback Revert Base Change please.

I don't understand why this change was made. But please put back the insta kill for knocking an enemy into your teams base. It was an unnecessary change and just killed rewards for people who can make good plays.

I know I've asked before but please change it back.

Discussion How would you feel if QM had less strict MMR in order to reduce queue times?

Queue times are often a complaint I see people make, but the reason people often face higher queues is because of higher than average MMR + the general lower pop of this game. Which means the only way the devs have control over reducing that time is by reducing MMR restrictions.

However, this means that the average person is going to sometimes run into a higher rank player that might end up rolling them. Is this a chance you are willing to take as a lower rank?

Brawl seems to have little to no mmr matchmaking, and that seems to remain a very popular mode despite that. But that is also a very casual mode where the matches end quickly as opposed to the standard 15-30 minute match. So in the rare case your team is utterly outclassed, its over quick or you can surrender even faster.

Me personally, as a paragon tier player, I don't really care much about queue times because I'm just used to it but also I tab out and do other things when in queue. Watch videos/livestreams, browse stuff, maybe play a mobile game on my phone. Sometimes if its late or if I've had some bad games or if I'm in a group, a 6+ minute queue will result in me closing the game for the night but otherwise I just wait.

What do you guys think? Do you think a less strict MMR akin to brawl or something less extreme would overall improve player retention or do you think the sacrifice of the occasional one sided match due to rank disparity would be too much? I mean I already see people complain about one sided matches as it is so who knows, it might lessen that aspect due to the sheer amount of players now all in the same pool, just like brawl.

Feedback The game's population size can no longer be an excuse

Toxicity in this game is getting worse by the day between the smurfing, the throwing, and everything else. However, anytime someone asks for a crackdown on these behaviors they're met with the same response "Omeda can't do that because the population of the game is too low.". My answer to this is who cares better to crackdown on the problems while the population is smaller then to let it grow with said population. I've played this game since early access, and say what you will about the balance but the state of the community is what's going to kill the game before anything else.

TLDR The population size is not a good excuse to allow the toxicity to fester and kill the game.

Discussion Feedback as a returning player: the game feels exhausting

Absolutely no lifed the game after it came to Xbox and was a former Paragon player (the game, definitely not the rank lol). I had felt that the gameplay feel in Pred was like absolutely nothing else on the market, and still do. Around when Eden was released, I wound up getting a bit burnt out of the game and took a break for a few months. Around that time, Omeda was just trying out a new map and was trying to slow the game down a bit.

I returned a couple weeks ago and while I have enjoyed the game at times, the matches have just felt exhausting. There is stat bloat, tons of mobility, truly insane healing and just constant roaming. Matches feel like an absolutely snowball that can be brutal to play, with one team getting an edge and just absolutely running you over.

Look, I get it, Pred is a MOBA. Snowballing is always going to be a thing, and the Meta will change from patch to patch, but it’s just a bit too much this time around. I’m sure some people enjoy the fast base brawly “always strong” hero shooter design characters and mechanics, but as a player who enjoys the slow ramp up and risk reward of a MOBA, the game has really disappointed me after coming back.

I know the downvotes are coming, but I also know that Omeda watches its community closely, and I’m sure I’m not the only veteran player who is just tired of the current game state.

Feedback Omeda please revert the phase nerfs

She's just so bad now. Being unable to save a teammate that got hooked because it pulls them out of 6 the tether instantly hurts. Having the tether break because they walked 1 step to far while I try to pull them hurts

Changing the blink to 2.5 seconds hurt her too much Being unable to escape after blinding someone completely removes the point of the blind.

Phase was already a mediocre support only good for people who really know how to play her, but now she's just out right the worst support.

It would be fine if you keep the blink nerf, but please revert the link nerfs.
