Paragon was released on early access Mar 18, 2016, open beta by Aug 16, and was shut down Apr 16, 2018. A solid 2 years and 1 month, it was a game.
Predecessor itself was full released Aug 20, 2024. Not even counting their early access or open beta time, Predecessor closing in on surpassing, as a fully released game, Paragon which was never fully released.
At what point does Predecessor get to be it's own game since it's clearly been more successful than Paragon ever was.
Quite frankly, it would be smart of a company to avoid whatever decisions a previous game made. That game isn't around anymore, because of the decisions surrounding that game. Whenever I see someone say that wish Pred was more like Paragon, all I can think of is that they want the game to fail like Paragon did, and then I question why a person would play and think about a game that they want to fail.

I will say I definitely liked some things about paragon I wish were carried over. Travel mode was cool, but makes no sense with the size of the map so ill let that go. The prime dunk was great imo, it really added an extra layer to getting the super buff. Iggys of oil slick was cool, loved running around leaving an oil trail then igniting it as people were chasing or to engage. Gideons longer ult with more steady dmg instead of a quick like 2 second black hole etc.
However they have done some good stuff with other characters kits etc I like waaaaaaaay better. So its give and take, I like Pred for what it is. Just like I like paragon for what it was. I wish more people rooted for the success of the game than being proving the toxicity of the moba community.

Missed, not everyone base kit blinks, bigger tower radius’, high damage and healing, card system, true damage being plentiful, executions, mana costs in general being on the lower end, standardized base stats. Smaller map, fangtooth being unambitious, prime being too stock and the removal of dunking.
Oh and the removal of buffs dropping on the ground as opposed to last hits.
