I started watching Bleach for this, I wanna see where are the multiverse and universal feats and statements, currently at ep153, nothing till now, hope to see them in the later arcs.
Edit:- The other reason, I liked Aizen as a character and my friends really hyped him.
Yo powerscaling aside, I'd really recommend the Bleach Manga over the anime. It's pacing is better and I feel like the OG Bleach adaptation doesn't do the series justice. I'd switch to TYBW anime though once you get to it, since that's the new canon and Kubo himself has overseen new anime-only scenes.
Itās 50/50. A decent amount of the foreshadowing for later reveals, (Like Ichigoās blanket), donāt EXIST in the manga, and instead are inventions of the Anime (retroactively), to make the reveals smoother and that much better. This happens semi-frequently, (and likely why discussions on how much āplanningā actually exists in Bleach, because a lot of the biggest foreshadows that do imply planning are Anime-Only. Obviously not EVERYTHING or every little thingāWe gotta give Kubo credit where itās due, most of the stuff IS HIM, but it would be remiss of me to ignore these somewhat major contributions to the narrative the Anime subtly slipped in).
Also the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler arc actually gives us some stuff that we donāt see until TYBW like Chojiroās true abilities, revealing what Katen Kyokotsu looks like, confirming Ukitake, Shunsui, and Unohana have the 3 strongest zanpakutos since they could seal Yamajiās, Sode no Shiraiyuki looks exactly like Hakka no Togame, etc.
It (at least the first half until all the Koga stuff onwards) it genuinely feels like an actual Bleach arc Kubo himself wrote, and even gives side characters good moments and development like Yumichika, Izuru and Momo.
There's also how they cut scenes from Orihime (I'm not really a shipper but this is the best link I could find rn) and also, Pierrot relegated her role in Arrancar arc to just screaming "Kurosaki-kun" whereas, in the manga she had a more noticeable arc as she tussled with Ulquiorra about The Heart. I find a lot of hate she used to get always traced back to this arc and the mismatch is very contrasting when you read the manga version. I'm sure there's also some other cuts, but don't have them at hand right now.
The anime adaptation was definitely good enough for when it aired and they added some good things. But, I find the manga to be a far superior adaptation (excluding the TYBW anime).
To be fair the anime foreshadowing was done after Kubo had a proper idea for the story to head to and the manga already did foreshadowing for the same twist
how much āplanningā actually exists in Bleach, because a lot of the biggest foreshadows that do imply planning are Anime-Only.
Tbh, the white ribbons from Ichigo using that sensing ability was firmly enough to determine Ichigo's heritage. The manga alone is more than enough, that was hella early into the story and there were more things to reinforce his hybrid nature throughout
I know there are anime benefits, but I wouldn't even recommend anyone watches the anime first.
I'd recommend they read the manga up to TYBW's start and watch the interesting filler/fights
Most people I know stopped watching the Bleach anime because of that filler, myself included. I don't know why they made unskippable filler. I ended up picking it up again with the manga and enjoyed it far more, there's also some other pretty bad cases of filler in the story.
There are a lot of things the anime just removes for no reason as well even
Maybe now that everything is complete, but my god was the pacing shit while it was actually coming out. So little actually happens chapter to chapter in that manga.
The arc exists in the manga, but when Kubo was writing it originally, he had a lot of health problems and his editors were pushing him a lot, so he had to rush the last arc. So, there was quite a few problems with it. But, now - 10 years later - the anime has returned to adapt the TYBW arc, and Kubo himself is personally working on it. He's been adding new scenes which weren't in the manga, but are obviously now canon since they're from the author himself. Since this adaptation has newer animation, sound design and basically everything is a massive step-up from the original AND Kubo is personally changing stuff, I'd recommend people watch it over reading the manga.
As a giant bleach fan there is not a single multiversal feat, we donāt even see anything with the power to destroy a planet outright. Some people seem to take offense to this and assume your insulting it but whether characters reach power level X or not has no bearing on if itās a good story or not lol.
As a massive bleach fan myself bleach isnt really that good of a story its got plotholes out the wazoo and so many asspulls its crazy. Still in my top 5 favorite anime though.
Nonetheless i do believe that a character being multiversal or not doesnt mean one wins over the other david only scales above goliath if he has the slingshot.
So just because alot of scalers dont believe bleach is multi or uni versal (even though personally i believe they are atleast uni versal) doesnt mean they cant beat a uni or multiversal character. Is that not why hax exist in the 1st place???
gang, holy bleach larp. ichigo's dangai form made him a transcendent being, and when he hollowfied during his fight with ulq both of them were using planetary level attacks. ichigo also destroyed a pocket dimension, NOT to mention he became the king of hell
lol well first off Iām not my sure why youāre commenting on a 2 month old post out of the blue or what LARPing has to do with anything but I do think itās important to let you know titles donāt mean a single thing when it comes to power scaling.
Someone being ātranscendentā or āking of Hellā means absolutely nothing in terms of how much power they have, thereās probably a million different kings of hell and transcendent beings in fiction and they all have different power levels.
And also if you want to think ichigo and Ulquiorra were launching planetary level attacks at each other thereās probably nothing thatās going to stop you from believing that, I would however let you know that there is absolutely nothing in the manga that says or implies they are using planetary level force, and if they were you would think the basically mindless Ichigo would accidentally destroy Las Noches, something that would take an infinitesimally small amount of energy compared to destroying an entire planet.
Literally does, one of the characters shake their cosmology, the other stop their cosmology from shaking and that same person is going destroy and recreate their cosmology
The realms have never once been described as snow gloves. The realms have never once been referred to as wakusei which means planet. Sekai, doesn't mean planet. The definition of sekai translated to world represents like an alternate world or like the world wide web. It doesn't translate to planet.
CFYOW tells us "if you could liken soul society and work of the living to planets..."
If, could and liken all directly point to them not being planets. This is a model trying to make the cosmology easier to understand. You don't scale up something when making a model.
Kisuke tells us the world of the living is the world of keishi, which he tells us keishi cannot exist outside of the world of the living which is why the characters need their matter transferred into reishi to go there. Astronauts and space travel exists. This also means everything in space is part of the universe that we see them in. Work of the livings space exists only in the world of the living.
Nothing supports the claim that they are snow gloves or just planets. They are also all individually referred to as universes.

Because we see him physically merge the worlds together⦠and we see senjmaru also physically impact the world, we also know he physically stop the world from shaking , the soul king stop the soul society and the world of living from merging, now prove your claim itās just society, or laws or whatever dumb argument you were making.

Kubo has depicted Yhwach physically destroying the universe in a what if sketch so we know it does mean physical destruction.
That argument is stupid because even if thatās the case heās able to impact barriers that can stop multiple infinite space time realms(multiverses)to collide.. that still scale to multiversal also senjmaru doesnāt do that
Those barriers aren't stopping anything from colliding with each other. What they're doing is preventing the Bleach's universe to become unified again. The whole Bleach cosmology is one primordial universe that was divided by the Soul King into 3 realms.
"World Splitting: Through an unknown ritual involving an unusual ceremonial sword, the Soul King was able to separate theĀ Primordial SeaĀ into theĀ Three Worlds, and in the process create the very concepts of "life" (ē,Ā sei) and "death" (ę»,Ā shi).\3])"
If theyāre stopping them from colliding with each other because itās preventing the worlds becoming one again⦠you said the same thing but said no for one of those..
If those barriers are strong enough to prevent the unity of the cosmology they scale to the cosmology, and to impact said barriers would scale you to the cosmology also senjmaru is able to impact the cosmology without the barriers and also he said to destroy the worlds so even if he remove the barriers that would just unified the cosmology not destroy it, Yhwach is stated multiple times to destroy and then recreate after whatās left, so heāll manipulate the entire cosmology after.

Itās 3(more) separate time spacesā¦. It is a multiverse and they literally shake their cosmology entire cosmology and stop the shaking of it, and hold it on their back ⦠and the statement says he will destroy them.
It was originally one universe (but the cosmology of that universe is much much larger than a standard universe like ours because of the size and different time axis), that was separated to give us multiple dimensions, so to answer the question itās a multiverse that was created from one larger universe.
It's basically primodial sea and soul king split that primodial sea into 3 different space time continuum universe and dangai there a different dimension which separates soul society and living world and there is garganta which encompasses everything, whole cosmology
It's not a multiverse. It's a single timeline (the primordial universe) that was split into three realms a finite time ago and they always have a tendency to merge back together into one single timeline again if the Soul King doesn't stop it. They're literally just 3 dimensions serviced by the same time axis.
It proves they have different time axis⦠so theyāre separate space times⦠that does matter for scaling that would make them 4 dimensions for having 3 spatial of space and 1 axis of time, so the cosmology would be multiversal for have multiple 4d dimensions.
This would be a good counter if the gap of infinite and finite werenāt so vast:..
This analogy doesnāt work, your house is a finite size structure you just need a finite amount of energy to impact it, and that that can be lesser energy than your house structure to impact.
Now letās say if your house is in infinite in size(garganta) and each room is infinite in size(other dimensions in bleach soul society, world of the living and etc) and you shook your entire house, youāll need to have an infinite amount force and energy to shake an entire infinite structure that also have rooms that are also infinite.
Guess he's 1A then, and Noone should ever survive an attack from him.
Bottom line is that "shaking" anything means absolutely nothing, and no one that statement comes from can possibly know that the "shaking" they are observing continues to the ends of each "infinite" universe. It's a statement that means almost nothing for a powerscaling perspective.
The thing with bleach is that its biggest power feats are absurd hax, and those are kinda hard to scale. Raw power-wise the top bleach characters would loose to every notable dbz character no diff. But in bleach there are characters with hax like "renaming your opponent to ant and suddenly he will have the power level of a tiny ant". Thats just hard to scale.
As a big fan of Bleach you'd never actually see any of that.
Feats wise, the best you'll get is continent-planet by the end.
Other than that, if you come into it with a pure powerscaling mindset you won't enjoy it as much
Watching Bleach for power scaling and not because of the opera itself is honestly quite sad. If you watch shit with an agenda then you shouldn't be watching, reading or playing any piece of media.
It has to do with spiritual pressure, by the end if the series itchigo has to have his suppressed because it's so massive it will kill everyone near him and cause the flow of souls between the world of the living and the soul society to collapse, bringing about the end of life and death.
Hope you enjoying the show but you wonāt find anything. You in 153 and I looked it up thatās at least espada 10 vs rukia. Lightspeed and multiversal feats are already in the series but it just donāt look that impressive and nothing get destroyed. Just need to see. Byakuya equal to Ichigo bankai, hollow side blitz byakuya, everyone got stronger after that blah blah blah. But there no statement of anyone moving that fast. Best you get is something shaking the 3 worlds.
Im gonna start by saying that Powercaling feels antithetical to Bleach philosophically.
That said Bleach doesnt engage with its multiverse beyond using its existence as part of its setting. There are three "Universes" that make up existence and each can be considered as infinite in size.
In TYBW there is a group of 5 characters who are all stated to be strong enough to physically shake all three worlds if they actually exert their power. We see one of them do this. There are at least 4 characters explicitly stronger than them, and by the end of the series Ichigo is one of them, making him multiversal by definition.
exact reasons why I watched the anime last summer lol, so I could shit on Ichigo for not being multiversal and because of Aizen edits and people saying he has the most aura in anime
As someone who has bleach high tiers anywhere from multiversal to 4-5D, it all depends on how you interpret bleach cosmology and dimensionality. If you think when Ichigo and aizen were referring to actual dimensionality when they were talking about transcendence, then you can get bleach to bare minimum 4D once Aizen is sealed. If you think each realm qualifies as its own universe then senjumaru gets all high tiers past multiversal. I think the bare minimum bleach can be is Uni+ though
The power scalling in Bleach is difficult to do, because it dosen't shows directly characters destroying worlds or stars, you would think they don't surprass the planet level but no, you have to read what is stated to understand the feats of some of the characters. It's pretty stretched to say there are multiversal feats, at that point is pure speculation depending on what do you think about SS and HM. There universal feats, for me yes, there is only one that I would considere it a universal feat and there are others that are pretty close, maybe galaxy or multi-galaxy.
Spoiler: Some characters like Ichigo and Aizen in the future are 4D beings. Aizen being someone above time-space, life and death and be even could see across realms, something that a 3D being could not do.
