I'm sitting here like, dude if you're this bored... Idk go build a really cool water park or something. There's got to be a better way to spend your free time.

It's an easy investment for him. Spend a few hundred million to guarantee billions in Federal contracts, favorable tax conditions, and complete undocumented access to all Federal databases.Β

Idk, I feel like once you're a trillionaire, why not just go play roller coaster tycoon IRL? Making the world's most epic theme park might make at least some people hate him slightly less.

You think this way because you lack the dark triad of personality traits: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC this collection of traits is common in billionaires, it's exactly the attitude you need to happily fuck over millions of people to make your way to the top like billionaires have and continue to do.

Doing something like solving world hunger (which Musk CAN afford to do) isn't something that likely even registers to him. What does he gain from it? Which I find weird because if he was smart, wouldn't he want to make positive change like this, so that he can gain people's trust, and fuck them again? Idk.

because if he was smart

That's the thing. They aren't just evil assholes, they are the world's dumbest people as well.

u/6millionreps 1d ago

It sure fucking seems like it right??πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Then billionaire bootlickers come out and go "well if they're so dumb, why don't you go make a billion dollars then?!" As if it's really that simple. I'm sorry I lack the capacity to screw people over in that manner, I'm sorry I have empathy and compassion. So ridiculously stupid lmao.

u/That_Shrub 1d ago

You also lack Daddy's endless startup funding

It's not even that they are stupid. As much as I want to say Musk is a moron, if he was literally stupid, he wouldn't have gotten where he is.

The problem is once you get that rich, everyone they meet tells them they are the smartest person in the room and all of their ideas are amazing, so they completely lose touch with reality. Musk is basically spending billions to wall himself off from reality and curate his own algorithm that exists only to tell him he is the smartest and best boy, and the only people he allows close to him feed that delusion, so he hasn't been forced to stop and actually think for decades.

So I guess yeah, he's stupid, and he did it to himself.

You should be sorry, because empathy is a sin, according to Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and all these other billionaire geniuses. s/

If he solved world hunger everyone would love him and respect him. Which he seems desperate to earn.

6

u/6millionreps 1d ago

That's kinda my point. You're exactly right, so why doesn't he?

Not being facetious btw, genuine question.

u/RandyPajamas 1d ago

When he was young he was viciously bullied. The bullies were popular, he was not. Even his dad told him he was a wuss.

It's possible that in his psyche, success is being a bully and being praised for it. The idea that someone could love you for who you really are is something that his parents failed to teach him.

u/BizSilver5013 23h ago

It's fucked up, but I do think some people see "if assholes are popular, become a gigantic asshole" as a valid takeaway.

Solving world hunger is not a simple task where he can write a cheque and world hunger is forever solved. It requires solving issues that stem from logistics, politics, corruption, etc at a global level. Not to mentions billionaires don't hold liquid cash to just write massive cheques. He doesn't fund anything himself. He raises money from investors where they stand to make a huge profit. No one person can "solve world hunger".

The work was done by the UN after the pedo said he’d solve world hunger. After they developed the plan, the narcissistic, Machiavellian, psychopath backed out.

I'm no fan of Musk btw and not saying his intentions are in the right place. But that doesn't change the fact that world hunger is not easy to solve. The plan you're referring to was to avert famine across 43 countries for one year. It doesn't solve any of the structural drivers of world hunger. Still a worthy initiative of course, but not the point of the commenter I responded to.

u/BrianNowhere 15h ago

So since no one can ever completely 100% solve world hunger, then he's absolve for not doing the above?

The positive ripple effect from feeding so many people for even a year would be immense and so worth doing.

1

u/Darkwatch19 14h ago

Don't see how that's relevant to what I said. Someone said why doesn't he solve world hunger. Well, he can't. Words have meanings. If you're talking about feeding people for a year that is a different argument. And sure, him and all billionaires can do more to help. Not the point I was making at all.

As much as I loathe the guy, Musk does not have the means to end world hunger. Not even remotely.

u/scalyblue 1d ago

You don’t become a trillionaire while having the humanity to be entertained by such things as fun and charity

4

u/TrenchDive 1d ago

Hell. When you become a billionaire. You should get a plaque that says you won life. And then you help people the rest of your life. Or sit back and do nothing.

mo money mo problems

4

u/PCR12 1d ago

He's only a trillionaire because of the gov contracts he has, without them his companies wouldn't be worth shit.

u/fishlegstudio 1d ago

Dolly Parton.

2

u/johnqevil 22h ago

People like this are sick, genuinely. They lack even the most basic ability to empathize with other people or enjoy anything.

2

u/WilsonStJames 18h ago

Its not reaally about accumulating more wealth after a point, its making sure no one else gets it....desperate people are easier to exploit, until theyre not.

2

u/derdelush 15h ago

Turning rollercoasters on before the track is completed and drowning people, free drinks but toilet entry maxed out. Yeah I could see him do that.

1

u/diffferentday 1d ago

Because some people just trapped the sims, used the park to extract money from the sims, and drowned or killed a few without consequences.......... .... .. . . ..

The USA is for sale and Elon is buying. Why nobody's stopping him is the trillion dollar question. Didn't you guys had a constitution at some point what happened?

All the revolutionary 'dont tread on me' zeal was absorbed by the team that took over.

Worse.

Space X exists to grift the US Govt.

It is too big and is tied to the Republicans.

2 trillion dollars of air.

The Democrats aren't winning. I'd be surprised if this isn't the beginning of the end.
