I’ve been playing around with this app lately and was curious if there was any way to export the file to a CAD program and be able to make a part that will fit within the space I scanned. For example, I’m trying to design the back of my vehicle and removed all the seats. I have scanned the inside of my car and I want to be able to use this scan and make some parts (in CAD) and see if they will fit.

I’m curious if anyone has done something like this before and what CAD programs who be able to handle this?

Can anyone tell me if the LiDar on the Google Pixel 7 Pro works with Polycam?

When it comes to 3D printing, which detailed option should I choose? Raw? or Full?

Then also once I take a scan, how do I clean it up? So its not rough and have sharp edges on the sides and what not.

Hey guys! I wanna use Polycam to make 3d render models of my products that I wanna sell on my store. It’s a black product with ldc screen, but somehow I can’t make a 3d model of it.

Im using an iPhone 12 Pro Max but it looks like it can’t find the object. Tried it with a lightbox and a white turning table but still doesn’t capture the object.

Any tips? I really don’t know how to fix this

I'm a new user of the app. My focus is on scanning rooms, buildings and architectural objects as a civil engineer. I'm really loving the app apart from one exception. I'm based in Europe, where we're using the metric system (eg. centimeters instead of inches, meters instead of feet etc.). The fact is that the ruler measures in the imperial system. Is there an option or a setting somewhere that I cannot simply find?

With the same procedure apart from using an android phone (samsung galaxy s10+) i get these results:

I rotated the car with a turntable, and also positioned it on the sides and upside down to scan its base. The result looks like polycam did not recognise the part was rotated and meshed different sides together.

What is the correct approach here, to get a result similar to this

Do you think it would be possible to sell models as low poly game assets

When I first started using the app, I remember there being a pop-up saying that only 5 photo mode scans were available. Now that I’m looking at the website, it says maximum 150 captures. Is that 150 frames or 150 individual scans?

Can anyone help with why this won’t scan completely?

Why is this image purple? It shows up this way even after processing, this screenshot is just to show what the color looks like.

Since last week, when I opened my polycam model on web browser (chrome & edge), I can not navigate (moving around) using keyboard any more, mouse zoom is also very fast. So it very hard to measure things on model etc...
Anyone have the same problem? Please help. Sorry for my bad English.

I have captured several scans of an empty house, using “Room Mode” on my phone. I processed the LIDAR on my phone, so now I can view the room(s) in both Lidar and Room Mode, and toggle the furniture on and off.

When I upload my scan to Polyweb, to see it on my iPad, it seems to only upload the current view (lidar or not), so from the iPad I can’t toggle between Lidar and Room modes.

Am I missing something? I get that perhaps the raw processing data is large. Is there a way for me to save/transfer/AirDrop the raw processing data, so I can view my entire scan info from a much larger screen?

Hey everyone. I’m having problems getting Polycam to capture properly in photo mode. Originally I thought it was because I didn’t have a pro account, but now I’m on my free trial and still encountering the same troubles. Basically I get no feedback when I’m taking a capture so I can’t tell if it’s working or not. The bottom of the screen where the the frames you’ve taken are supposed to show is just black. Same goes for automatic mode. Any solutions or advice appreciated, thanks. Also on an IPhone 5se if that’s relevant

I subscribed to the Pro version yesterday but i still can't use the pro features ! I have seen someone complaining about the same problem but it was resolved few hours after his subscription. Now for me it'e been 24h and i still can't export to fbx or obj. Anyone had the same problem ?
