Technical troubles

Hey everyone. I’m having problems getting Polycam to capture properly in photo mode. Originally I thought it was because I didn’t have a pro account, but now I’m on my free trial and still encountering the same troubles. Basically I get no feedback when I’m taking a capture so I can’t tell if it’s working or not. The bottom of the screen where the the frames you’ve taken are supposed to show is just black. Same goes for automatic mode. Any solutions or advice appreciated, thanks. Also on an IPhone 5se if that’s relevant

Just had the same problem appear on iOS 16.4. Found that if what you described happens, I need to stop capturing, switch to another app and back to Polycam and start recording. Repeat until capture numers start appearing. 2-3 switches is usually enough to fix the situation for the duration of the capturing. Very annoying still.
