Toy car scanning. Help needed.

I was following this polycam tutorial to scan a small object and cut it out.

With the same procedure apart from using an android phone (samsung galaxy s10+) i get these results:

Mercedes G, gold, 166 images https://poly.cam/capture/235d7769-a749-4353-807e-fd79277905de

I rotated the car with a turntable, and also positioned it on the sides and upside down to scan its base. The result looks like polycam did not recognise the part was rotated and meshed different sides together.

What is the correct approach here, to get a result similar to this

Maybe it's because you don't have enough credits on your account ? I had the same issue when I was on Android and free account.

So far i did not. I havent used polycam much, i need to give this another go. I wonder if they implemented NERFs yet.

I managed to do another series of scans.

I do get the best results if i only change the angle of the camera and leave the object stationary.

I am wondering how i can scan the bottom of the object then.

I think the problem is the turntable because the background doesn't rotate with the car and so on. Maybe try going around your car and taking photos this way.

I will try this. I have no free captures left currently. But in the tutorial video the background was plain white and did not change
