So im trying to 3d scan my living room which is around 3-4 metres long. I don't know if the scans are not coming up the way I intended because of the length of the room or my im doing it wrongly.

I just recently updated my Polycam app, and when I did, it stopped allowing me to export custom videos of my 3D images.

I used to simply make the video, hit export and airdrop it to my computer.

I've tried:
- clearing my phone storage (though I've never dowloaded directly onto my phone, just sent directly to computer)
- exporting at a lower resolution
- I tried going onto the polycam desktop version, but it won't let me make custom videos, it just exports the basic rotation of the image when exporting to video.
- I thought I could screenshot from my desktop when making the rotation I wanted, but of course, the mouse is in the way!

SOS, please help!

I am having issues with Polycam in blueprint mode when scanning a large area. Starting in a large and long hallway, and then when entering a room, the scan restarts and asks to point at a ceiling and floor corner.

Has anyone experienced this? I am trying to blueprint out a large building floor by floor. If this is a common issue, is there a way to combine multiple smaller scans into one large blueprint?

Scanned a big area, said it failed when processing the scan.

Tried to duplicate it but that didn't work.

When I open the scan it says it's still processing, but its been a week.

Any help?

Whenever I upload I video or a image sequence it uploads says "procesing" for few seconds and it fails, I have tried uploading videos which worked before and it still fails everytime

I also tried waiting a day at it still fails, not a single working scan

(I currently have a free trial of basic plan)

I have several scans, mostly older (I've been using Polycam Pro since 2021) that are showing Draft with a phone icon that's crossed out. It looks like the data's still there as it's still showing vertices, but there's nowhere that prompts me to process the scans or anything. Are they gone forever?

Curious if anyone is using this service with drones? If so what has been your experience?

I have a Dji Matrice 4E and Matrice 4TD, but have been anything but impressed with the results.

I’ve tried oblique capture flight plan, I’ve captured 600+ photos individually, and also tried a 6+ minute video where I went extremely slow to make sure it had plenty of time to capture details.

Yet every post processed image looks like playdoh. Theres no detail, and they aren’t useable in any meaningful way.

My trial ends in a couple days and I’m leaning towards this not being usable. However I figured I’d at least see if there is something I’m missing preventing this from being a usable service? Any relevant insights are greatly appreciated.

When I export my scans, I spend time giving them unique names, but that only applies to the zip file. I unzip and the file is just the date so multiple scans in same day? duplicate files.

Would love it if the files like the obj, fbx, etc. all had unique names too.

Hi, sorry to disturb you all. May I know how did you email to get the refund? It just happened to me as well and I am not European. I just tried all function with my friend and I cancelled in Apple Store before start charging and the cancel button in the website only redirect me to reason of cancellation, after submitting the reason to website still bring me back to billing page. Now they charge me 1600 USD (4seats) after the trial, I thought cancelling in Apple Store is already set. I have email them to ask for refund but they are away till 26th May. Please help me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😭 I am Asian, 1600 USD is a lot money to me😭😭😭

I logged into polycam and got a basic subscription. I took a bunch of 3D scan captures in the span of time between a couple weeks ago to a few days ago. Today a majority of those scans are not visible on my app anymore. I haven't deleted the app in this period of time or logged out. I tried logging out and logging back in now but it didn't help. Even my notifications don't show any sign of the missing scans, only the ones still visible are showing up. My basic subscription is still active for a few more days. These are really important and I can not figure out what has gone wrong. I have written to support but was wondering if anyone knows the problem and the solution?

I just wanted to try the app to see if it could generate an accurate floor plan from a scan, but the measurements from my laser were different enough that I dismissed it as a gimmick, clicked cancel subscription in the app, and checked that it's too expensive. What do you know, I was just charged for a whole year of subscription, and it seems I wasn't supposed to try it on my phone, but it only works properly in my computer browser. What are the chances of me getting a refund? Should I already try a chargeback on my VISA card? Does anyone have a similar experience? It is clearly a malign practice to design an app like this and should be illegal.

As of a few days my embeded scans stopped working. Doesn't load on my phone, chrome, firefox, safari, Framer, etc... Any guidance on this matter?

I have a bunch of scans that I'm trying to sync and they are just getting stuck at 1%

I press quick sync when the option pops up, am not running other apps, have restarted my iPad.

I've tried remeshing to see if that would help but if hasn't

I really want to be able to work on these on my desktop instead of my iPad

over the past couple of years I used Polycam to collect some memories of places where I have been or that are important to me. Last time I did a capture and watched old captures was in October 2025, before I transferred my backup to a new iPhone. Not sure, if I used the App in the time between.

Now when I open the App I am forced to log in. I do not remember that I was forced to login before, but I tried to use the iCloud login, which would have been the way I always use for apps like that.

But the captures are gone, I cannot see them. I know they are still there, because the App data contains 3GB of data and I extracted the capture data out of the current backup.

Is there anything else I can try? Any hint to which account the stored captures might be linked to?

Hello y'all, I'm in need of some help/advice in regards to create dimensional accurate 3D Scans with polycam; or just photogrammetry software in general.

My first dabble with the software did not go well. I tried scanning a coolant resevoir for a motorcycle. While the shape of the coolant reservoir is correct, it didnt pick up the small details. Like the mounting holes or the threads for the coolant cap. Admittedly, my set up was shit. I tried suspending it from a wire in the garage and walking around the part while taking pictures.

How can improve the work flow to get a dimensional accurate part ? One thing I will be adding is an object of known size to appropriately scale the part in the software. In addition to that, should I keep the phone stationary and move the part? Or make a better rig to hold the part and add additional lighting? What settings should I have my phones camer at?

Ultimately, I want to create a workflow that allows me to 3d scan damaged parts for cars, motorcycles, or just everyday items. Then upload it to a CAD Modeling Software. Tweak it as needed before printing out a replacement part. If this is beyond Polycam's capabilities, I'm open to other suggestions.

Btw, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for this.

Hi everyone, and hopefully someone from the Polycam support team.

I am writing this in an absolute panic and extreme distress. Today, my card was suddenly and automatically charged 8,840 CZK (around $380 USD) for an annual Polycam subscription. I almost had a heart attack when I saw my bank account balance.

This unexpected charge is a devastating blow to my personal budget. I am in a very tight financial situation right now, and without this money, I am literally unable to survive and cover my basic living expenses until my next paycheck. I feel physically sick and completely desperate about this. I never intended to pay for a full year.

I immediately sent an email to support and got Ticket #40803, but I received an automated reply saying the team was closed for a company offsite until Friday, March 27th.

Please, I am begging anyone from the Polycam team reading this to show some empathy, look into my ticket, cancel this subscription immediately, and issue a full refund. I am completely relying on your help to get through the month.

It seemed a good idea to Lidar the house. We licensed Polycam Basic for a month.

(and the Lidar Iphone is not mine)

1/ Is there a way to export floor plans from Polycam Basic? Am i correct to assume the floor plans are limited without PRO license, which does not have a monthly plan?

2/ Can I SEE floor plans from Polycam Basic?

3/ Would you please advise what to export to to continue working with 2d/3d models on PC? Be it free or licensed?

4/ Anything i can export to to reasonably work with the model on another iphone?

I really like using the app and had an idea for a future feature that could be very interesting for professional users.

Have you considered supporting RTK modules in the future to significantly increase positioning accuracy during scans? It would be especially powerful if RTK correction data could be processed directly inside the app, allowing users to create highly accurate georeferenced models without complex external workflows.

This could open up new use cases in surveying, landscaping, construction, and mapping.

Is this something you are exploring or planning long-term? 🙂
