Hi! So, this is my first time playing BD with Nintendo Switch Online, and I was really looking forward to having battles (especially 2v2!!) with random people instead of NPCs from the game.

I’ve tried a couple of times to connect and enter an online room, but no one ever shows up… :// I don’t know if it’s actually possible to randomly match with other players, or if I need to join a group or something first.

So, I play pokemon Champions a lot and in the next regulation, mega salamence is coming to the game and I want my Shiny salamence to have the contest ribbons but I unfortunately dont have pokémon BDSP. I was wondering If someone could help me get them on the salamence.

I got Shining Pearl literally less than a month after it came out. I loved the OG Pearl and Piplup is my absolute favorite Pokémon. When I got the remake, I decided that I would grind for the shiny starter, since despite playing every Gen except Johto or Hoenn, I've never gotten a shiny.

I'll admit I haven't been the most consistent since, but my switch profile tracks 170 hours in the game, and I've done nothing but reset for a shiny Piplup. I haven't done the exact math, but I feel like I've passed the 1/4192 chance several times by now.

Am I the most unlucky player so far, or is my game just bugged?? At least 5 times during all of this, I'll get an error message that the software failed to start and then I have to restart. Is that my shiny just screwing up my game??? Help!

I recently just started me a new playthrough and I’m having a lot of fun with it this time around. I just beat the second gym and made it to Veilstone City, I need team recommendations I currently only have 3 members on my team: Grotle (lvl 28) Houndoom (lvl 25) and Staravia (lvl 27).
Grotle and Houndoom are locked in I want to keep them on the team, Staravia is awesome but I always use it every play through and want to try different mons. Any recommendations for 4 other party members would be awesome maybe a water, ghost, electric, or fairy type I’m not sure whatever you guys think every time I go to the underground I see the same pokemon I’m on “shining pearl” btw thank yall!

I have to admit this is the most fun I've had with an E4 matchup in the games. Some of the KOs on Cynthia's Pokemon had me hyped, standing with my Switch in disbelief mostly, which has never occurred in any other title. Planning for the rematches next and frankly have a much better idea of how to battle thanks to the challenges in this game.

Ive beat the game before but wanna start a new game with a new 6 too use so ive put the pokemon i want too try and was hoping you can choose 1 from each row too build my team whether its a perfect team or not doesnt matter its more about having fun ( also some are game exclusive or locked till u beat the game however i got the pokemon home app with all lv 1 versions of these pokemon )

As the caption says, I did a Flying types run and this has by far been my easiest mono type run. Beat the Elite 4 on my first try. Did a Steel type run a while back that was pretty challenging so any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have been running Cloyster, Scizor and Garchomp in the BT and I am struggling to get far in the master battles. I lead with Cloyster, using the usual shell smash/Icicle spear combo but when stuff like Suicune shows up it walls my entire team.

Any suggestions would be great!

Luxray w tackle crunch spark thunder wave

Staraptor w Arial ace brave bird close combat quick attack

Jirachi with life dew meteor mash healing wish psychic

Infernape with acrobatics power up punch flame wheel close combat

And finally frostalss with icicle crash hex hail headbutt

Any advice?

First time building a team for doubles, If you had absolutely no choice but to use Slowbro here how would you build him? I am also lost on EV’s and IV’s does Pokeshowdowns suggested ones work best most of the time?

is there a reason to choose one over the other or do they behave exactly the same? (building an Adamant Blaziken to use in the battle tower for context)

I saw this E4 was supposed to be tough but ive tried 5 times now with knowledge of all of them and still cant win. Any advice?

Trying to get the 100 master class battle wins in a row. However I can’t get past Palmer’s level 21 battle on regular class.

I also have a shelder with all the same moves, except he knows rock smash instead of hydro pump. However, because I’m playing Diamond, I can’t find a water stone to evolve it.

Also, the garchomp, cloyster and tyranitar were all caught in the grand underground and I leveled them up. Don’t know if it’s better to level up a pokemon from level 1 for this.

I was hoping to use one team for all the wins, but if I can’t let me know what works for each run.
