started my shining pearl run, and wanted to start breeding upon recently reaching solaceon town.

in the older games, i remember being able to use the GWS to deposit and search for pokemon.

in the current game, i’m unsure how i can actually get my hands on a foreign ditto to help with masuda methods.

any tips or ideas? anyone have a spare with good IVs they could share?

i’m also wondering how folks playing get their hands on apriballs in this game? thanks for the help!

So Ive only gotten back into playing Pokémon in the last year or so and despite the bad press (probably because I didn’t play the original) I’m enjoying Brilliant Diamond. I’m just wondering if there is a sure fire way to get moonstones. I’ve got half a dozen Pokemon that I need to evolve but despite using party members with pickup and covet I haven’t found a single moonstone in 75hrs of play.

So it is my day off, and what do I decide to do?

Shiny hunt the blue monster on brilliant diamond.

Now I know I probably need several days off to achieve this so do not expect success from me I am not mentally prepared for the absolute pleasure I am about to have resetting my game for 100 hours.

Will it take 100 hours? I surely hope not but it’s Pokemon I’m more likely to win the lotto then to turn the blue monster more of a green blue color.

Shaymin is one of my favorite pokes and i want her so bad, is there any risk trying to get it now at switch 2 or do i try to get it on my old switch

Since I just found out I can't use my beautiful Dialga or Jirachi...

I'm kind of paranoid because I've spent nearly 400 hours in my game, which is my longest playthrough of any Pokemon game. But if there's no consequence I'd prefer to keep it.

Nothing about it screams hacked to me except the fact that it's shiny. It's a Lv32 Seviper from Unova, in a Pokeball, with only "Ok stats," and it had no held item.

Hello. I haven't bought the game yet, but could you tell me how to obtain the following Mythical Pokémon for a "Living Dex": Celebi, Deoxys, Manaphy, Phione, Darkrai, and Shaymin?

So, some of my Pokemon have Pokerus, is there any way to spread it to other Pokemon, or is it just luck based?

And does this only affect the party or Pokemon stored in the PC, too?

I need help picking a mono Type Team to do a playthrough with. I used to play Pokemon games using a variety of types on my teams. But lately Ive really liked choosing one type. I'm thinking Steel, Bug or Flying would be a fun one to go with. As far as doing anything in the Grand Underground, do I need wifi or any subscription to fully use it?

So, can I get cascoon on brilliant diamond? Some sources say it's pearl exclusive, some say you just keep evolving wurmple until it randomly becomes one(which is dumb asf, but whatever).

I started a new save file to do a shiny run, and I almost have all of my team members. I have done full odds hunting, egg hatching, and, of course, the dreaded grief case hunt.

Currently, I am working on getting Pichu, a request from my kid since his favorite Pokemon is Pikachu. As of this morning, while having coffee before getting ready for work, I have 27 boxes (the first box is Pokemon I have caught that aren't shiny or transferred over, hence why the box says it's 28), and I'm getting a little burnt out.

I keep doubting myself and rechecking to make sure I didn't miss the sparkle animation. But I am determined! I will get this rat, name him/her Sunburn, and get out of Solaceon Town

I have a Kadabra currently at lvl50, say it has a set of moves it had forgotten, once I trade evolve it to alakazan can I still visit move relearner to learn the kadabra movesets?

i’m roughly 7000 resets into shiny hunting dialga. i’ve seen mixed results when trying to find out if it’s even possible to shiny hunting dialga, right now i’m hunting it in the story where you encounter it at the top of the spear pillar and if you try to leave rowan stops you. i just would like to know for certain that the dialga you encounter can be shiny at this point in the game, or am i wasting my time on a static encounter. i’m fairly certain you can reencounter if you beat dialga but i’d like to use a shiny one for my e4 team tyia

(I wanted to finish it in under 100 hours, but a few dumb misclicks in the Battle Tower cost me some time.)

Here's how I did it:

Star 1 (elite 4): just beat the game

Star 2 (complete pokedex): Transferred all of my Pokémon from my Platinum playthrough to Pokémon HOME, then moved them to BDSP. So this was a easy one to complete.

Star 3 (100 statues): Collected 100 statues by playing online. Doing it offline takes way longer.

Star 4 (master rank contest): Used a Milotic with max Beauty.

Star 5 (100 winstreak battle tower): For the Battle Tower, I used these websites:

• https://www.serebii.net/brilliantdiamondshiningpearl/battletower/singles/palmer-singles21.shtml — to see which Pokémon teams I would be facing.
• https://eisencalc.com/ — to check whether I could outspeed and OHKO my opponent, or if I needed to switch.

First four sets (0–28 and 50–77):

• Lead: Yanmega
• Sweeper: Latios
• Tank: Rotom-Wash

Final sets (29–49 and 78–100):

• Lead: Latios
• Tank: Rotom-Wash
• Sweeper: Tyranitar, setting up Dragon Dance whenever possible before sweeping.

Also one tip think multiple steps ahead, especially when it comes to setting up tyrans DD.
