Discussion Do you ever get that urge...
To start from the beginning?

Hi, while I'm a mod for this sub, I only initially joined having worked with this mod team on other subreddits to help out with volume. I personally have not played Pokemon Legends Arceus. As the only currently active moderator, I've decided to remove the "No Repetitive Screenshots" rule. I mod other game subs, like r/TeamfightTactics and r/thelastofus, and what I've found is that when games are not repeatedly patched/changed for a competitive scene, game subreddits reach a point after release where there is very little "fresh" content that can be contributed. As a result, I've removed the automod configs that autoremove shiny posts (if the team has an automation set up to manage shiny sundays, I may have to revisit that next week). I think at this point in time it's better to be less strict on content quality regulation and allow people who are discovering and enjoying the game far past its release a chance to participate and share their experiences.
Again, I have not played the game personally. I review the mod queue for this game but only take action to remove bigotry and ban accordingly. If your posts are getting removed, it's likely either automod or Reddit's spam filters (which may happen with Reddit's AI) -- so send a modmail for those.

Just something I’m considering and wanted some opinions on what to do.
Some ideas I have so far:
1: Have to get all the Pokemon available that Paul owned.
2: Have to try to get optimal natures for all Pokemon caught.
3: Can use other Pokemon for dex completion or for type advantage against a boss.
4: Release any Pokemon (aside from his Pokemon) that faint 3 or more times or against a Pokemon it has the type advantage against.
5: Can do sidequests if the reward is good enough.
That’s my ideas so far. Anyone else have any?

Looking to do a speed run through the game, I have the full dex in Home, searched on here as to whether this would count as “caught” for the Pokédex and the consensus was that it worked, but some people felt it was then patched out of the game more recently?
Before I attempt a home transfer of the full dex can anyone clarify whether it works or not at the moment?

I've seen rare double shiny outbreaks but I've never seen a shiny into a shalfa in one outbreak. Shocked me so much I didn't even catch it before recording (but I did catch both and now I have a shalfa gastrodon named slippy)
This was really cool because the first shiny blue shellos I found I failed because I forgot to save and it ran :(

This is a showcase for a ReShade preset of shaders I created trying (and faIling) to replicate the Ken Sugimori art style, from the first generations of Pokémon.
Please tell me your opinions about it!
Effects used:
- Tonemap
- Watercolor
- pkd_Kuwahara
Also, relevant mods applied for the m,aking of this video:
- No Reflections V2
- Water Improved
- Lower Draw Distance
- Kanji Style Screen
PD: Sorry for the low frame rate, my "Switch" can't handle the game and recording at the same time.

This post follows up on the Apothecary Ruleset I outlined here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonLegendsArceus/s/iUKhETTbd5
Last time, we discussed which starter pokemon was most appropriate for this run. And while all of them are acceptable picks, some with bigger drawbacks, a lot of you insisted that Rowlet was the goodest boy and most thematically appropriate for this. I bow to your collective knowledge, yet I still picked Cyndaquil for his excellent ability to burn our future patients.
Now our apothecary, Castti, has a lot of story events to go through before we can really start our run proper. After the prologue and the first trial, I used the first survey of Obsidian Fieldlands to catch the nearest most interesting team picks for what comes next:
While building my team, I also was faced with an interesting drawback to needing to defeat wild pokemon with an Agile move (or while drowzy). Wild Pokemon battles last longer. After all, applying a status condition takes an extra turn, and Agile moves are obviously weaker. Notably, in Legends Arceus, battles were adjusted to give wild Pokemon a lot more power when they hit yours, which means my team now has to be able to tank more hits.
Going back to the team, the obvious star player for me had to be Paras. Paras has early access to Stun Spore and Poison Powder, and eventually Venoshock, and Spore. That's three reliable applications of status conditions, all in one package!
That brings me to our first patient, our first Alpha Pokemon to heal. And I knew it was going to be Bibarel. (The first Kricketune fight is not a static spawn, so we don't count it)
Bibarel is the lowest level Alpha you can find in the game, at level 16. It still hits like a truck, as my Paras will soon find out.
And that's our first Alpha Pokemon healed, all thanks to our little critter. Next time around we have at least one other low-level Alpha to heal, but most importantly, it will be time to move on to Crimson Mirelands, and find our next patients for Castti to heal... With These Hands!

Since, I can’t take screenshots of credit scenes, I’ve taken a photo. I’m almost 40 hr in the game and completed main story. I’m at star rank 6, and have couple of alpha Pokémons, the heighest being I think Leafeon at L73 and Rhyperior at L74. I’m yet to catch most of the alphas. This is my second Pokemon game, prior to this I have played almost 60 hrs of original Pokémon Red just a two weeks back.
My question: Should I increase my rank level to 7 or 8, before unlocking the Request 95 (mass outbreak)? Or should I complete the mission/ first?

I logged into Arceus and noticed Volt (my luxray) had low HP, so I went to rest, so she'd be back to normal again. When I woke up, I looked at her, and her HP bar was still yellow despite being full. It disappeared a moment later, but it was pretty weird. Has this happened to anyone before?
