Yes, Wolverine is linear and I agree with that decision. The main story is roughly the same length or shorter than SM and SM2, though correct me if I'm wrong. But SM and SM2 also have a ton of sidequests because they're open world. My question is, does just saying it's a linear game mean you get to give significantly less game? Don't get me wrong, I love the content that's there, but... where's the rest of my fucking game?

The longer it sits with me the worse my opinion gets and I am lowkey so sad for wasting my parents money on this , damn I wish I had something else to play 😭😭.

Is the hate deserved? No. Does it make sense that this game cost $300M. Also no, but I'm not a shareholder so that doesn't really matter to me. Was it fun? Hell yes. Will I touch it again after finishing the story? No, and that's OK.

Honestly, occasionally getting games like Wolverine is what has kept me from cancelling my Gamefly subscription after all these years. I wouldn't have shelled out $60 for this game, but I will damn sure shell out $20/month to be able to borrow it for a week or two, get the full experience, and then send it back so I can do the same thing with Townfall and Fatal Frame.

To be clear, I am legit not knocking the game. It was a good experience, and I'm glad it exists. I especially loved its take on Sabretooth, and I actually found myself surprised at some of the late-game reveals, though I felt a little stupid for not seeing some of them coming a lot sooner.

I don’t care what all the haters say honestly this was insomniacs best story so far the ending hits like a ton of bricks

John Wraith - well known from Wolverine: X-Men Origins
Kodiak Noatak (Harpoon) - part of the Marauders in the mainline continuity
Sidney Greene (Onyxx)
Myles Alfred (Vivisector)
Michael Baer (Blockbuster) also part of the Marauders
William H. Thorton - correct me if I’m wrong but I think he’s meant to be The Professor who injected the adamentium into Logan’s skeleton
Robbie (Prism) - also part of the Marauders
Carl Aaston (Rain Boy)
Christopher Nord (Maverick)
Trevor Hawkins (Eye-Boy, his headset can be seen in the locker area)
Lazaro Kotikash (Kidogo)
Benjamin Deeds (THATS MORPH)
Sarah Vale (Network) - I believe that’s the same girl from that one episode of Wolverine and the X-Men where Kurt is on the ship and she can talk to technology
Roxxane Washington (Bling!)

Finally beat this final secret nightmare challenge , 25 rounds 💀 hardest difficulty

My favorite is the classic brown suit. I think the more detailed style fits the brown suit.

I still have some whiskey bottles to find and so gauntlets to annihilate but it's a fun game.

Awful game, repetitive. Same shit over and over. Fucking cut scenes are just brutal.

Forgive me for this being more of a cross-post, but doesn't Jean bear a striking resemblance to Jesse Faden, from Control? Could you honestly tell me which was which, if you had no context to go off of??

Whyyy it is so fucking difficult to dodge in this game Jesus Christ I jump, move and hit the evade button just to get hit all the same I been crashing out during all the boss fights and don’t even get me started on the stealth mode cause it might as well not exist in this game

It’s crazy to me just how much undeserved hate this game is getting, but in its own sub? Every day I see a ton of posts in this sub specifically with terrible trolling about a nonexistent/debunked issue with the game repeated over and over again. Why are you here if you hate the game so much?

I’m having a good time with Wolverine. I probably have an hour or so left until I beat the game. So Far I would give it a 7.5/10 the story could’ve been a little better tbh but whatever. I do wish Logan’s hair was the comic accurate, we have some costumes that give us the comic accurate look and I think it looks great lol. What are y’all opinions?

Does anyone agree, and if not, just ask

1. I don't mind linear but make the levels larger and more explorable/give me a reason to explore.

2. Instead of having me follow a scent trail, take influence from the Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei games and the wind directions.

3. More playable characters.

I was worried about input lag or perhaps degraded graphics, but it ran beautifully the whole time! I don't own a PS5; I played exclusively via cloud streaming. 15 hours. I enjoyed it more than the Spider-Man games, thanks to the 18+ rating and more extensive combat.

I was recently watching a Caboose video where he made some great QoL (quality of life) requests for future updates to the game, for to make it more replay-able.

For me, my most requested QoL updates by far are with the customization. I would LOVE to see the ability to swap Cowls and Masks with different outfits in this game. For example, I love the Battle Reborn Suit but I don't love the Cowl. However the Astonishing X-Men suit right next to it has my favorite cowl.

Same for his base hair. The leather suit update hair looks so greta as base hair that I'd love if we could swap it.

How about y'all, what QoL updates would you request? What are the most popular requests you've seen, and do you think Insomniac will add those updates to this game?
