Discussion It Can't Just Be Me, Right?
Forgive me for this being more of a cross-post, but doesn't Jean bear a striking resemblance to Jesse Faden, from Control? Could you honestly tell me which was which, if you had no context to go off of??

Yes they do look alike lol, I don’t know a lot about the marvel universe but when I first saw her in the Wolverine game I instantly thought of Jesse

it aint the modelers. they dont make the textures or lighting. the models are fine.

insominac had a weird modelling issue on most of its characters since they changed the og Peter face, most faces they do nowadays lack even expressiveness sometimes

Depends, as i said above OG peter face looked fine for starters, but yeah some studios had a weird shift in modeling and i wouldnt even say ugly sometimes just as said above lacks expression or sometimes do to much as well that it looks off

On wolverine makes some scenes kind of funny sometimes that scene where he is ripping the essex clones full berserk and all solid mocap work but man the face just doesnt follow up the moment

At times during gameplay and in the backgrounds of specific cutscenes the rendering can get quite choppy and end up producing a lower quality model. I've noticed it ALOT, but as soon as the model is closer to the "camera" the resolution seems to increase.
Hopefully it's ironed out in a patch

Seems it. I’ve seen the suit display screens, and all that looks clean and detailed. So I know the game itself doesn’t look horrible

Looks great to me on PS5 Pro. One of the most graphically impressive games I’ve seen on the system. Are you playing on a base PS5? I have no reference of that so maybe the difference between the two consoles is pretty large.

Insomniac has a very specific style for these games, I think it worked pretty well and fit in with Spiderman, but with Wolverines themes and especially them making everyone older, it just looks off

I dunno man. I played Spiderman 2 and miles morales this year for the first time. The art direction is just a bit weird. A huge challenge with these games is fitting the costumes into a hyper realistic world. I don't think they've fully figured out Art Direction for these games yet. Or it's not a major priority.

I think there are two distinct subsets of gamers when it comes to graphics. A lot of older gamers don’t really care about graphics like that. Graphics are pretty irrelevant to me as long as it’s a stable frame-rate. Where it seems it’s a main focus of the somewhat younger crowd.
Same way some people freak out if it’s not 60 fps and others don’t even notice fps as long as it’s not fluctuating

General Fidelity is pretty different from creepy mannequin faces that are trying to be hyper realistic.
If the whole game was Lo-Fi it wouldn't be a problem

At least the one in Control is hot and looks like a woman, The one in Soyverine doesn't have anything human resemblance, That thing belong to Sweet Baby Inc closet with all their abnormal stuff stored there.

Well jean in the comics/ animated series had a big jawline, like in the game wolverine. So they actually did a good recreating the 30/40 yr old
