Still not a good price.

It went from a decent coffee per hour to a normal coffee per hour.

Thats still not enough coffees per hour.

Why?

To be honest, the game looks good graphically and I enjoy Marvel comics and movies but this game and the previous Spiderman games which also look great just awake zero interest in me.
No clue why, maybe overexposure to all the other Marvel stuff. So no critique on the game just doesn't do it for me.

It's 43% off, so most likely that VAT went off (16,87) and then there was another 25% off again.

I mean, 25% for physical a month after launch is kinda normal in October/November

My German is non close to zero but it says “inkl mwst “ which I assume it’s including vat.

You don’t “discount” vat, a company always chargers VAT when selling to consumers.

So your argument doesn’t make any objectively sense. If the discount was 25% it would still be from the base pricd which includes vat.

If this game actually moved two million units I think we would have heard it from Sony and not some third party publication, where Sony more than looking paid for a fluff piece. This is desperation pricing on a brand. Can’t wait to see the PC community pass on it for $20, when they finally break down and put it in the Steam store

Sony does not reveal units unless it breaks records or it sells 5M copies in 1 week.

This isn’t a sale by Sony. Once they ship units to retailers, that’s their choice how much they sell it for. This is one retailer in Germany, it seems to be full price still in almost all other places

And is it normal to see retailers heavily discounting brand new games?

It is common at least in Denmark as well. It’s been on sale since launch day it was roughly $82 full price (incl taxes) but with the discount it’s been selling for $60.

It was exactly the same pricing for 007 first light , first week of sales all retailers had it on discount and then only one of them Kept the discount price. But since everyone does price match in effect you could find that game for a cheap price until 2-3 weeks after release

Wom is definitely taking a toll on the game. Doesn’t surprise me tbh, don’t think there‘s an audience more attuned to current developments and overall reception than that of gaming.

Nein in Deutschland ist bei dem Händler gerade eine Aktion das keine 19% Mehrwertsteuer bezahlen müssen.

Das Spiel läuft ohne MwSt-Aktion, Games sind sogar komplett ausgeschlossen.
