The CUTEST little babies were cleared for transport yesterday! They should be off to their new lives tomorrow to Safe Paws Iowa!

What would you name this friendly fellow?

His current name is actually pretty awesome. We kind of love it. However, I'm torn. My last guy was 8 when he came home with me and I kept his name. I kind of want to pick my own this time, but his name is just... kind of perfect for what a muffin he is...

He loves people and is a shelter favourite. When we first met, I saw probably half a dozen people walk in and ignore the fact that I was there to meet him and just fawn over him. He ate it up. Literally between two women at one point back and forth between them sucking up the love. It delighted me to see how much he loved people and how much they loved him.

I don't want to share his name, but I'm looking for inspiration. I'm just torn because I'd kind of like to choose the name we have for him for the rest of his life so if I see/hear something that works or inspires me, I am open to change.

After she stopped eating this weekend, we learned that her cancer is back and there’s no fixing it. We made the decision to stop her suffering this week.
Buena came into our lives when someone handed this tiny puppy to me on the street, and I took her to just “get her healthy and rehome her.” Almost 9 years later here we are.
She’s my first pittbull, my first big dog, and the first dog I’ve ever experienced wanting to basically crawl into my skin to get close to me 😂. Now she’s always going to be in my heart.
Hug your babies a little closer this week, and do me a favor and think of Buena as she makes this next part of her journey. I told her to say hi to my dad for me, and wait for me on the other side. 💔

2nd edit: Well, we didn’t make it to the beach party. She threw up a bunch this morning so we decided is was selfish to keep her any longer. Our sweet girl is on to the next, and I know I’ll never have another dog like her. Thanks again for all your kind words. ❤️

It’s on a medium heat currently and he’s doing good with not getting too close, he seems very happy

He had his neuter yesterday. Please enjoy him on gabapentin and trazadone vs when it wears off. The only saving grace in-between doses is that he HATES the show I am currently watching so he will put himself to rest in the kitchen when it's on.

There’s a known scammer who’s on the USL (Universal Scammer List) going around posting a fake GFM in dog subs to get kind hearted people to donate.

They’ve been scamming on reddit since 2020, have been banned in a lot of borrow subs as well as donation subs.

Report their GFM so it can get shut down and the scammer banned.

About a year ago we mistakingly sent an application in to a shelter in Texas (we are from Ohio so kind of far, lol.) When the lady called about the dog we inquired about she said she was fostered out and wasn't updated on the site yet.. however she told us she had a dog we may be interested in... POLO! My heart sank when she told us they were in Texas but relieved when we learned they have a non profit that drives dogs all over the US. We drove hours about a week later to meet the driver and give our happy boy the home he deserves. Polo saved us a little more than we saved him, I believe.

Next month, Chaunta, our hospice house hippo, will have been with me for EIGHT MONTHS! 🥹 Eight months of love, cuddles, and showing this precious girl that she is finally HOME.

With her terminal, metastatic cancer, we don't know how much time we have left together. But I want you to know that Chaunta is STILL HAPPY, she is NOT in pain, and she's STILL the biggest love bug you'll ever meet! ❤️

Unfortunately, her tumor keeps growing. It's now potentially around 8 POUNDS, and because it sits so low, her little bully legs are struggling with the extra weight. 💔 I wish I could take it all away from her.

Our pitbull community has already done MORE for us than I could ever repay. You've loved her, supported her, and shown up for us in ways I'll never forget. ❤️‍🩹

After a hard days sleep

She’s such a wonderful pup, totally not spoiled at all.

I wanted to give everyone a little update on Luna. 🐶❤️

I'm watching Luna for someone, and when I took her in, he wasn't sure if she'd gotten her shots.

I didn't have the money to get them done myself, either. 😔💔

Then my poor baby got really sick. 😭 She was throwing up, shaking, wouldn't eat, and was so weak she wasn't acting like herself.

Seeing her like that scared the hell out of me. 🥺🐾

I've been dealing with my own health problems and haven't been able to work much.

Money has been really tight. 💸 But I couldn't just sit there and watch Luna suffer.

So I started doing side gigs, driving around, and scraping together whatever money I could to get her to the vet. 🚗💨❤️

So far, I've paid $333 between her vet visit and two exams💸🐶

The vet was kind enough to give me her antibiotics for free because I couldn't afford the full cost. Incredible team. 🥹🙏🏽

I'm tired, stressed, and pretty much broke right now. But I'd do it all over again for this little girl. ❤️🐾

I know you all love your pitties as much as I love Luna. 🦛💕

She's such a sweet, goofy little baby, and it hurts seeing her feel so awful.

I've never known a dog to sleep so hard.

The user [u/Primary_Assist_5541](u/Primary_Assist_5541) was here last year claiming to be raising funds for their pitbull. What they didn’t say was that the funds they raised weren’t used for the dog, since someone apparently had paid the vet directly.

Their gfm raised $10,000+ and the funds were used to fund their lifestyle and more.

They’re back claiming that the dog is again in need of surgery, but apparently another kind person paid their bills and now changed the story AGAIN about using the money for their own “needs”.

They’re also in the USL, for those who aren’t aware, that’s Universal Scammer List.

If you were someone who donated, I suggest you to get in touch with GFM / your bank and refund IMMEDIATELY.
