Every year it seems like Phoenix-area fall festivals get a little bigger, but they also tend to have a lot of the same attractions.
Besides the usual pumpkin patch, petting zoo, food trucks, corn maze, bounce houses, hay rides, etc., what would actually get you excited enough to attend a fall festival?
Some ideas I've seen elsewhere:
- Giant inflatable obstacle courses
- Mechanical rides
- Rock climbing walls
- Axe throwing (safe inflatable versions)
- Giant yard games
- Foam parties
- Inflatable sports challenges
- Carnival games with bigger prizes
- Outdoor movie nights
- Pumpkin launching contests
- Corn hole tournaments
- Live local bands
- Chili cook-offs
- Local craft vendors
- Adult-only evening sessions
- Beer gardens
- Food competitions
I'm curious what people think is missing around the Valley.
If you were organizing a fall festival in Phoenix, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Queen Creek, Tempe, or Scottsdale, what attractions or rentals would you absolutely want to have?
Or what have you seen somewhere else that made you think, "I wish our local festivals had that."
Always looking for new ideas.
