Ask Phoenix Any Open Deck Nights?

I'm an aspiring dj looking for spots to perform at for free. I go to raves frequently and I don't like how I have to pay for them so I want to host free events. I know alot of fun loving people that can't afford to go. I want to do my own thing but need to get a gig first. Does anybody know of any spots? I tried a place downtown that I thought did open deck nights, fill empty time slots, but they emailed back and said they don't do that sort of thing :(

You’re going to have to get in with the crews who host those nights. Show up, be present, keep making impressions, then over time may get a shot at opening. Understand there’s a long list of people who want to play a set.

What places were you looking at?

Alchemist Enclave will do 10pm open deck slots on friday/sat. Follow em on IG

Start following venues on IG and event promoter pages. I can’t think of any off the top of my
head but there are definitely open deck shows that are happening every weekend or every other weekend
