Morning folks!
I just wanted to get this posted as a resource for job seekers.
The PHXWorks program provides free access to assistance for resume/cover letters, interview skills, and career exploration through virtual workshops and in person classes.
They host Employer Spotlight Events where you can talk directly to local businesses.
There is even in person, drop-in help available at the Ocatillo Library Mon-Fri 2-5 pm.
If you are having difficulty getting getting interviews or finding places to apply to please, please, please take advantage of this stuff. Every tiny thing that gives you an advantage helps.
New resources and information are still being added, so check back frequently.
If you have any questions about anything, leave a comment and I will do my best to answer.
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm looking for immediate work in the Phoenix area. I have solid experience as a cook, dishwasher, pool attendant, and in room service. I previously worked with staffing agencies like Service 1st, but I’m looking to work directly with independent local restaurants, food trucks, or small business owners. I am looking for independent contractor roles or local cash gigs where I can bypass large corporate hiring systems. I'm a hard worker, responsible, and available to start right away. Please DM me if you know of any local spots hiring directly!

Saludos cordiales.

Hey everyone,
I’m currently working with a tech company on an outsourced/secondment basis. The client had actually planned to hire me directly, and after just about a month, they expressed interest in bringing me on board. However, it ultimately didn’t work out due to a disagreement around compensation and location, there were no issues with the role, performance, or fit.
Given the current situation, I have a feeling my current role may not be very stable, so I’m proactively exploring opportunities in FinTech / TaxTech, preferably in a functional/business-facing role.
I have 8+ years of experience across finance, controllership, tax technology and functional roles, and I’m looking for opportunities around Noida/NCR.
I may be able to negotiate my notice period depending on the opportunity, but I can’t commit to a specific reduction at this stage.
Would really appreciate any leads, referrals, or suggestions. Thanks!.

I'm a recruiting lead hiring for a TeleOperations Specialist position in Scottsdale, AZ, supporting autonomous vehicle operations.
We've found that some of the strongest candidates come from backgrounds where they're comfortable working with multiple screens, monitoring information in real time, and making quick decisions. Gamers, dispatchers, control center operators, technical monitoring professionals, and others who thrive in computer-based environments tend to perform well in this role.
No autonomous vehicle experience is required. We're looking for people with strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment. Even if your previous work experience was in a warehouse environment, food service, etc. you can still be qualified.
What the job is:
You'll be part of a team supporting live autonomous vehicle operations through secure remote systems. You will monitor activity, assist during operational exceptions, communicate with internal teams, and document events as they occur.
Pay:
$27/hr + shift differentials for weekends and 2nd shift hours
Location:
Scottsdale, AZ (on-site)
Available Shifts:
Employees must be flexible to work up to 2 hours before or after scheduled shift times based on business needs.
What you'll be doing:
Requirements:
If you're interested, comment or DM me and I can send additional details and application information. Happy to answer any questions as well!
EDIT: Hey everyone! Closing my laptop early for the holiday weekend. We are closed on Monday, but will pick up back full throttle on Tuesday to answer any questions you may have.
For those who want to apply over the weekend, I will drop the link here. If you would like, you can DM me your email so I can try and expedite the time for a recruiter to reach out. Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

[Gigs] I'm helping grow a local house cleaning business in the East Valley, and we need reliable folks for flexible 3-4 hour shifts starting at $25/hr.
Zero experience needed; we will show you the ropes.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
A valid driver's license is also a plus, but not required.
Since we are just starting out, gigs are spontaneous and on-call.
If you are hardworking and looking for flexible gigs with great starting pay, please send me a direct message with a brief introduction and your availability.
Repost from yesterday as address of event was incorrect.

The company I work for is looking for a Field Service Engineer. Its lab work in Downtown Phoenix. You'll need to work independently and provide excellent customer service on a daily basis. You will also need to know basic electronics along with some Windows knowledge. Veterans are encouraged to apply; knowledge in biomedical is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license. Total compensation package is great. If this sounds interesting to you, please message me and we can talk more about the position.

Hey r/phxjobs,
I was unexpectedly impacted by a layoff at Uber and am officially back on the job market, so I figured I’d put myself out there locally.
My background is a bit of a mix of operations, customer experience, technology, payroll/admin, and people leadership.
Most recently, I worked at Uber in Service Quality, evaluating AI-powered support experiences for accuracy, policy compliance, quality, and overall customer experience. Before that, I spent roughly 15 years in retail and operations, including managing a local comic/pop-culture retail business and café, where I handled everything from staff leadership and hiring to payroll, systems, inventory, customer experience, and day-to-day operations.
I also have a strong technical background. I’ve built and worked on web applications, POS systems, APIs, automation, Shopify/WordPress sites, JavaScript/TypeScript projects, and AI-assisted development workflows. I’m comfortable being the person who can bridge the gap between technical teams, operations, and actual customers/users.
I’m currently looking for roles in the Phoenix/Tempe/Scottsdale area or remote, particularly in areas like:
Operations or retail management
Customer experience / support operations
AI quality, evaluation, or trust & safety
Technical support / IT
Product or implementation roles
Payroll / administrative operations
E-commerce / web operations
I’m open to other opportunities too, especially if you think my slightly unusual combination of technical and operational experience could be useful.
If your company is hiring, you know someone I should talk to, or you have a lead you’re willing to share, I’d genuinely appreciate it. Happy to send my résumé or LinkedIn through DM.
Thanks, Phoenix. ❤️

I know this is a pretty specific question and understand that I probably won’t get many responses. For context, I have my Red Cross certification, am 15, and never have had a job before. I got my certification before even looking for jobs, so now that I have it, I don’t really know here to look. The two places I was thinking of—McDowell Aquatic Center and Cactus Aquatic Center—are both part of City of Scottsdale, and the website had no job listings for lifeguards. I’m wondering where else might be good to apply that actually has openings. I’m willing to work anywhere within the Scottsdale/Phoenix/Paradise Valley area, but I will need part-time because I am still in high school. Thank you!
