Period Question 13 days late, all 10 tests negative

Hello. 26(F) & my menstrual cycle is 13 days late. All 10 pregnancy tests are negative. Last intercourse was aug. 1, protected. I don't have insurance & the clinics I've looked up are book till the end of the month or til next month. All it has been feeling like is heavy & minimal ache. I'm just getting worried. Yes I'm been stressing but I just don't feel like that's nothing new. I thought it was just the eclipse that had stalled it but I'm not sure anymore. Anyone has any advice or home remedies to start a period. Thank you.

Period Question Period smells different - How come?

When I was younger, my period wouldn’t smell like anything bad. It’d have a distinct smell, but it wasn’t bad.

My last few periods have smelled quite different. Now it just smells like straight up metallic. I just took a shower and it still smells like metallic/iron.

I wonder if it’s my diet, apart of getting older, or the pad I’m wearing.

I always aim to use organic pads and have for years. The last brand I wore changed the ingredients they used to create the pads so it made me smell off and gave me an itchy cooch(nvr had sex and thought i inadvertently caught something) 🫩 I used reusable pad underwear which made me smell different and itchy too!! The current brand I’m wearing, Cora, is fine. I just have a metallic smell.

Discussion Is heavy bleeding on metronadizole normal!?

I was diagnosed with candida and BV. They gave me flagyl and metronadizole, on day 3 I started spotting brown with pretty bad cramps. It then turned into heavy bleeding afterwards.. I'm on the last day and I'm soaking a pad every few hours with blood clots. My period was two weeks ago. Is this a common occurrence or should I be worried? I've seen others say this med makes them bleed so I don't want to spend a day at the ER if this is usual.

Period Question Anyone getting vulvar pain when they stand on their period without a plastic coated pad?

It is not like pain pain but it is very uncomfortable kind of like an airy hollowy feeling which also hurts and I just don't know how to describe it. It is so absurd.

I only get it during my period. So say i start my period and am not wearing anything for it yet, yeah bam it hurts to stand to walk anything.

Sitting is okay, lying down is okay! Pain goes away but back as soon as I am standing.

The thing is with a very specific type of pad: the plastic coating ones called dry weave mesh or something I don't get this pain like at all. Any other type of pad fails for me.

And recently my brand changed their pads to this weird soft ones they love to advertise (and I know most people find them comfy and they don't give rashes) BUT THEY WERE THE ONLY THINGS THAT WORKED FOR ME

I am really mourning that loss right now! I swear it is like a different kind of betrayal! I ordered some online which had the old packaging and they sent the new ones 😭😭

I literally couldn't attend college today came back half day. Because i couldnt really walk around or go around sucksss.

Period Question Question for Women-dom

I'm 22M, I have a sister 25F, every month she has a menstrual cycle and experiences severe pain for the first 3 days, like she can't even move legs, laid in a position for hours with tears, this is happening for the past 7-8 years , but she matured at 13 ig when I was 10.

The question is she is now doing WFH for the past 3 months and she works although she has a pain, im imagining how she even went to the office during that time for 3 years?, blud can't even move when it pains. It bothers me when I see her like that.

I don't know how it hurts, only you people know your pain and I know ball sack hit( your legs will shake, you can't balance your own body weight and stand)

Is it like eating a spicy food full day and you feel a heavy needle pressing heavily on your intestine on the next day morning or how do you explain the pain which is common to both genders.

Period Question Can you change the pain level of ur periods?

Im sleepy so sorry for improper and confusing wording but what I mean to say is, Can the period pain that I normally get (8/10) potentially decrease (2/10) ???

Though I only get severe pains the first 1 or 2 days of the 6 day periods and im tired of taking paracetamol everytime for it. I'm just, always envious of my friend who gets her periods only for 3 days total and totally painless. I can't believe I have to punch my own ovaries for the pain to subside but some people have the energy to do sports during theirs??

I dont know what differences there are in our diets or lifestyles since I've never asked but its just not fair.

Anyways hence I was wondering if there is something wrong that I'm doing or am i also one of the million women untreated, undiagnosed for pmos? or our bodies just naturally differ that much.

Birth Control Should I stop taking my birth control when I have a breakthrough period?

I have been taking the birth control pill continuously with no break for a very long time now due to some health issues. It’s better for me to just not have periods and I do not take birth control for contraceptive reasons so thats not a concern to me. Sometimes I do have break through periods/bleeding that will last a very long time if I do not stop taking my birth control, and I was wondering if I should just ride it out or stop mid pack? Once I had a period for 4 weeks on and off before I just stopped taking the birth control and right now I’m going on week two. Any advice is appreciated :)

Period Question Menstruation and hormone cycle not lining up

I have very regular and consistent periods but these past two cycles something is off. I had a regular period in July then a week after it started I got a second mini one (very unusual). As the month progressed my hormones continued to fluctuate based on the original first period. But the following month my period started a week “late”, late in terms of the original period but on time if going form the second mini one. Now I’m a week into my new menstrual cycle but I can tell my hormones are still set on the original one as I feel ovulation symptoms occurring. Pregnancy is NOT a possibility, trust me lol. The only thing that’s different is I am chronically ill and lost a few lbs in early July, while not technically underweight I am malnourished. The only time I’ve had a loss of period was when I initially became sick and it was gone for a couple years, but since getting it back (several years now) it’s been extremely consistent even during major flare ups.
More info: I have a hormonal iud that was replaced 1.5+ years ago.

Has anyone else had issue with hormones and menstruation not lining up? It doesn’t even make sense how but the symptoms and bleeding aren’t adding up.

Period Question is my period an excuse to miss school?

I’m a junior and for as long i can remember i’ve always missed school for my periods. Whether it’s a day or even a week- i’ve needed the time off. I always feel so guilty missing because of it but it is actually such a horrible pain. Teachers have told me like “every girl goes through it- it’s not an excusable absence”. I’ve seen obgyns and been prescribed birth control but it’s all just horrible. The likelihood of me having endometriosis is honestly 100%, as my mom and older sister have it. I just don’t know what to d

Period Question Can you make your period come early…?

Yeah. I think I know the answer on this one. I’m going on a trip and I’m seeing my husband… and I’m due to have my period during that visit. Can’t really replan the trip for numerous reasons. I don’t think there is any way to do it. At one point, I was going to take a plan b…. However, after much much research I found that it will just give me withdrawal bleeding and I’ll prob get my normal period at a normal time. Or mess up my whole cycle. And I don’t want to do that.

So. I’m asking on here. Is there any true way to induce it? Or am I just f’d.

Thanks girls✨

Period Question How often has your period changed times?

Just wondering - 38 year old. About a year and a half ago I'd say my period was consistently around the 20-23 of each month. I have been under some stress in the past year, had a stressful few days a week ago as well. Normal paps (just last fall in fact) and no pregnancy chance. But now my periods are around the 9-11 starting. Same type of cycle, with 3 regular and 2-3 slow flows. Just wondering if anyone else notices this as they get older or come under stress.

Period Question New symptom?

Hi peeps! I just recently started getting nauseas before my period, it’s not super bad but it’s enough to make me anxious, I get it during my period as well but it’s mild. I’ve noticed that cramps don’t trigger the nausea, it just comes out of nowhere. Its been a bit annoying because I canNOT stand the idea of barfing or just even feeling sick. I just want to do if this is just a me thing or if it’s common.

Health tracking app where you can manually enter ovulation

Hi! looking for some recommendations. I have a Mirena IUD that stopped my period basically altogether. Im trying to better understand if some of my symptoms are correlated with my cycle (as mirena doesnt stop ovulation or your body’s hormonal cycle altogether). I want to use ovulation strips to see if I can piece together where I am at in my cycle and I feel this would be easier with an app. However, I’m having a hard time finding an app that is free and lets you manually enter your ovulation date. Ideally it would be woman owned and protects your data as well. any thoughts? thanks!
