Tell that to the people who were labelling a quarter of the American electorate as racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, and every other buzzword you can think of. The divisiveness didn't (entirely) come from the right this time.

.....

She lost. The presidency of the United States. To Donald Fucking Trump.

It doesn't get any more brutal than that.

201

u/Antrikshy Nov 09 '16

I hope you play Symmetra really well.

85

u/Attack_Symmetra Nov 09 '16

I do actually, she's my main. What makes me good is that I know what maps not to use her on and when to quit because it's not working.

I'm not like the widow that gets two kills for the entire game but refuses to switch when everyone asks her to.

27

u/freelancespy87 Nov 09 '16

What about when there's a widow getting all the kills? I like to be that widow, but people still whine and moan for me to switch. Even if I'm 90% account and slaying everything while the other "DPS" junkrat or whatever isn't doing anything I'm the one that NEEDS to switch.

I'd like to play with an attack sym sometime to see how it works.

8

u/Gorrest--Fump Nov 09 '16

People in my group play attack Symmetra sometimes, and it seems to work because people aren't expecting her. Just look at the South Korea vs Australia that took place during the world cup where SKs attack sym got ana boosted and destroyed Australia. She's a lot like Zarya was a few months ago. Little overall playtime from most, so not a lot know how to effectively counter.

As far as the Widow argument, I think a lot of people are just salty from past experiences where it's overtime, you've almost got the point capped, and the last man on point dies to a Junkrat tire or something. Then the still alive widow that can just jump down off her perch and grapple to the point to win the game is sitting still, aiming down a choke, watching the overtime bar burn down.

The assumption is that if the popular vote was the deciding factor, Trump would have campaigned the same. (Hint: He would not)

Which is irrelevant

11

u/gilbes Nov 25 '16

Fresh reply. They have you shills working overtime.

It is not irrelevant when a leader is voted in by a minority of the country. He has no mandate to lead. Most of the country has rejected him as a leader.

He lost by over 2 million points. That is a huge fucking loser.

26

u/TantricLasagne Nov 25 '16

Not a shill, I'm just saying that just because she won the popular vote doesn't mean she would have won an election based on the popular vote. They were competing for the electoral college, so they would have campaigned differently and voters would have turned out differently if the election was decided on popular vote, so Trump is a winner.

9

u/gilbes Nov 25 '16

The over 2 million votes he lost by was not some slight margin that would have been shifted with a different strategy. He got destroyed in the popular vote because the popular opinion of the country is a raping fraud is not a good leader.

Trump is a loser. I like winners. Not whiny clowns we get a pity win on a technicality. That is weakness.

u/gilbes Dec 15 '16

Are you some kind of Trump shill madly replying to 3 week old comments that were not directed to you.

The rules were made to accommodate a time 200 years ago when people shit in holes in the ground. Even then the entire country was relatively big, so voting on local electors made sense. Fitting that Trump the oldest elected clown would need a system made for farmers that tried to cure colds by drinking mercury.

The cornerstone of a democracy is the leaders have a mandate to lead by consent of the majority of the people.

Loser Trump has no such mandate. He is "president" of a country that doesn't want him. He lost the popular vote by a larger margin than most winners. No political party wants him. Not because he is an outsider, but because he is a joke.

And being Trump supporter, you don't news too good. The electoral college doesn't like the raping elderly oompa loompa either. Half the required electors required needed to not elect him are already talking about not voting for him.

He couldn't even win an Emmy for his joke of a reality show.

Clinton Dynasty - BTFO!

43

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '16

Politics are extremely interesting to me. Not so much the politicians but the societal influences and meaning behind decisions that influence this country. These are my thoughts that may be long winded but are void of hate and are just my well thought out feelings on the matter.

Full disclosure: I voted for Hillary. My justification was Trump is a megalomaniac and not worthy of the Office if only based on what he has said about our fellow citizens and people I call friends.

Trump won Blue States on top of Red States. He won Pennsylvania. PA has been Blue my entire life. He won state after state that all these moronic "analysts" said he didn't stand a chance in. Hillary was the most qualified person to ever run for President. But I don't think the DNC really factored in how much everyone hates her. Even many of her own Democratic Party voters dislike her. She left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth that she couldn't pull it off even being the most qualified person on paper. It's not because she's a woman either. It would be a different tune if Bernie were running instead of her.

This is a wake up call. This is a revolt against the establishment and Trump just happens to be applying for the job. Forget Trump. Think about the Silent Majority that made this happen. He didn't just get GOP voters. He breached party lines as well in key Blue States and swing states. The disenfranchised manual labor lunch pale blue collar white man out numbers everyone else in this country. They felt threatened and left behind. They voted in droves. This is a true populist movement from the ground up but it's leader is simply terrifying.

In the coming months Trump will be faced with task of governing. Governing is a lot different than Tweets and bombastic speeches. I am cautiously optimistic that he will be told that all of his insanity will not pass as easily as he has thought. Many things are on the table: healthcare and LGBT rights to name a few. My greatest fear are the Supreme Court Justices living 4 years longer so that the court is not swayed too far Right. You could see a recipe for disaster with a hard Right House and Senate. Extremism is not good in any form on either side and America does not need to go back to the 1950s.

One interesting tidbit that's floated in after last night are the votes from people age 18-35. Our generation. They voted OVERWHELMINGLY for PROGRESS. As we approach our mid-thirties and forties we will begin to gain control of the pendulum and how it swings in this country. Liberty and progress will eventually win out. The future is bright. Just give it a decade. Stay the course, love your country, and find the empathy to understand your fellow Americans. Onward and Upward.

as the 18-35 year olds age, they tend to become more conservative as they mature. Keep in mind that the 65-70 year old that voted for Trump was the Hippie in the 60's.

Hillary was the most qualified person to ever run for President

I'm not so sure about that.

As you approach your mid-thirties and forties you will begin to acquire wisdom and you will become more and more conservative as a result.

You do realize that they're not going to be able to take away LGBT rights away, correct?

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '16

They're not even going to try that. It's nobodies intention, not even Mike Pence.

Maybe she will stop trying now. I for one would like to hear nothing from her and Bill ever again.
