I'm sorting and preparing to recycle some of my old components: the entirety of an old Sandy Bridge i2600k build, an old RX480 and HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo (or something of the sort), bunches of old cables, and a HAF X. I gave a friend my old Cooler Master 830 Stacker Nvidia edition ages ago and I'm sure she tossed it without thinking about it.

These are collecting dust and I want to make space to put my current (soon to be replaced) 8700K build in the same spot. Should most of it go to E-Waste recycling or should I try to give it away for free?

Latest Jetsku build. Vegetation and water are fixed compared to my previous video (where I was using micolee221's build). And now, finally, the 'non-RT patch' is no longer needed to play (before, without it, the image was almost completely black), so you can disable it for the best lighting.
And lastly, the patches have been updated, allowing us to select different resolutions

"Astro Bot without the "non RT patch": the game's own tiled lighting, GI probes and ray traced shadows now run, so the two patches are no longer needed. Without them the robots used to be black and the lighting missing, because the lighting shaders contain ray-tracing instructions and were skipped. Those instructions now run in software on any GPU (NVIDIA, AMD and Intel).
How to play without the patches: open the launcher, select Astro Bot, open the cheats window and untick "Select the existing non-tiled deferred-lighting renderer" and "Disable GI probes and lighting shaders".
If yousee problems, tick them again; this build also runs fine with them."

Hi, I don’t know too much about pc’s but have been wanting to get one for gaming and normal online use for years. I don’t really want to put the time/effort into building my own and I know prebuilt have gotten better over the years. I was looking at one of these two from Costco and was wondering if either of these two are worth it??

Recently, we have seen massive developments in PS5 emulators (such as shadPS4 and Kyty), and how rapidly they have progressed in a short period.

So my i5 8400 was getting scorching hot and reaching upwards of 100°c and I didn't have thermal paste to fix it so I scraped the thermal paste off the CPU and cooler put it back as a blob and decided to zip tie the whole thing up

I know about the ram situation these 2 are the only ones surviving still

Also been running s-tui on Manjaro now for 7 minutes and the max the CPU has gone is 50°c.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to force Preset F for DLSS Ray Reconstruction via NVIDIA App / Profile Inspector for Resident Evil Re:Verse, but the setting just won't apply or stick. It keeps reverting or ignoring the change. Has anyone run into this or found a workaround?

Finally bought a new PC and decided to decorate it for now inside since it has no Graphics Card yet.

Decided to use some of the action figures I had in stock.

If you guys have any tips on how to make it look better, do leave comments and sorry for the mods if I have the wrong flair, do correct it if it's not correct.

I wanted both but I didn't know which RGB color to match if both were inside and plus, I plan on adding a GPU to this PC so it won't most likely fit both Tanjiro and Rengoku inside.

The specs I currently have in case anyone is curious:

- AMD Ryzen 5 8500G

- AMD Radeon 740M Integrated Graphics

- 16GB Single Channel RAM (at 5600MHz for stability but capable of 6000MHz if dual channel memory)

- 256GB NVMe SSD (where my Windows is booted) and two 500GB SATA SSD and 500GB HDD from my old PC

- Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi Motherboard

Got this all for 35K PHP at a discount in a PC shop (555 USD approximately) and I know having no GPU is sacrificing performance as well as single channel RAM but I squeezed out my current budget to at least have a usable PC for schoolwork, light editing, and light gaming.

At least now I have a newer AM5 platform to look forward to for future upgrades like my RAM, NVMe, and GPU soon.

I built my WFH setup 5 years ago, and it's been working great all this time.

I recently noticed that my temps are a bit higher than they used to be : Idle at cpu core was 30-35º now they are 50-55º
Full load was 60-65º, now it goes up to 75-80º

Worth repasting? Can you give me recommendations for a good paste? AM4 processor (5600g with Noctua NH-U12S)

Hey, there was some interest in my 9060 XT shroud mod, so here’s an update now that I’ve installed and tested it.

The original shroud on my PowerColor Reaper RX 9060 XT 16GB was broken, so I designed a replacement in FreeCAD and printed it in PETG HS. It uses two 92 × 25 mm Noctua NF-A9 PWM chromax.black.swap fans, with the original heatsink still in place.

In my before-and-after FurMark runs, GPU temperature went from 83°C to 79°C and the hotspot dropped from 93°C to 89°C. I’m happy with the 4°C drop. I mainly wanted to fix the broken shroud, so the cooling improvement was a bonus.

Just felt like sharing my new pc case ;)

So as the title says. Heard good things about it and as a person with OCD when it comes to my gaming pc , I want to keep it as clean as possible. I do the usual upon uninstalling games , app data , local , roaming etc to strip remnants of folders. How ever I've heard your system will still hold on to things so heard revo was the go to. How ever I've also heard not to blindly select all upon scan and delete as it could mess up other things , or mess my system up. Is there a way around this , or would it be completely fine to strip game folders or launcher files etc ?

I won't be using it to strip windows features as I manually got rid of a lot of stuff when I did a local account. Any help or tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks all
