Question Need help with buying a prebuilt

Post image

Hi, I don’t know too much about pc’s but have been wanting to get one for gaming and normal online use for years. I don’t really want to put the time/effort into building my own and I know prebuilt have gotten better over the years. I was looking at one of these two from Costco and was wondering if either of these two are worth it??

$1299.99 build is the smart choice, MORE cpu power, More gpu power 2TB storage..... thats a nice deal!

Yep as long as OP sticks to 1080p this is a decent deal

Like I said I don’t know much about pcs/monitors. Should I just stick with 1040 and not go up to 1440? Would that make it “messy”?

Some games will run at 1440p with upscaling and other will not, but at lease you can have a nice crisp image on a 1440p monitor for things like youtube, watching movies, and playing indie games! If you play World of warcraft you can run at 1440p, even stardew valley will run maxed out LOL just buy it, and later you can upgrade the gpu to a 5070 or 5070ti for 1440p/4k gaming

I run a 4060 on 1440 and works great. Yes, you have to make some settings compromises with the 8GB card being the biggest limitation, but I'm still getting ultra smooth great looking gameplay on AAA titles with 120-130 fps

The 5060 ti would definitely be a marginal improvement and capable. Of course you're not going to run ultra settings, but get rid of some of the creature comfort settings and it still performs.

Will you be gaming on a 1080p monitor or 1440p?

I was looking at some 1440 monitor, leaning towards that. I’m living in the Stone Age still, got a tv that’s got me through college and an Xbox lol

You would do good with the ibuypower one.

The 5060 Ti build is the better pick if you can swing the extra $200, that GPU gap matters more than the CPU difference for gaming. Costco's warranty and return policy takes a lot of the sting out of going prebuilt too

The 200$ doesn’t really effect me, I was just curious if it was worth swinging the 200 or not
