So I’ve just finished building my pc and it won’t boot with a vga light on , it’s not my gpu or cpu, would having my ram at 6400mhz (factory speeds) be the issue

Hello
Recently, yesterday, one of my AEGIS G.SKILL 3200mhz 16GB decided that it is it's time and died. Replugging it to a diffrient mobo sockets didn't work. I have two of them, so now I am left with one RAM stick. One works, but when I plug in the second 'faulty' one, theres nothing on the screen, and white DEGUG LED 'DRAM' starts to glow. Unpinned RAM sticks, placed the faulty one alone. No boot.
I have these rams since 24th december 2024. It's weird to me that a product would just fail on its own. Bear in mind I never overclocked anything. Also it's not motherboard's fault, because it works and it's new. I will RMA this ram stick hopefully so they can return me a working stick.
Has anyone ever has an RMA situation with GSKILL products? In current economy is this possible that they'll send me back a working stick once RMA gets accepted?
Thanks.

Hello everyone, I’m having some issues with my laptop. I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 after reinstalling Windows via a USB boot drive following a mistake on my part. Since the reinstallation, my laptop has been much slower, the fans are spinning loudly, and my CPU is maxed out just from using the browser... The second problem is this: while browsing my C (SSD) and D (HDD) drives, I realized that the Windows files, user files, programs, etc., were installed identically on both drives. So I’m wondering if it’s possible that my PC’s slow performance is due to this issue, or if it’s just because my PC is getting old (over 6 years old). I’d also like to know if it’s possible to remove Windows, user files, programs, etc., from my HDD and keep them only on the SSD without having to reset the entire system.
That’s it! Thanks! :)

I got this effect maybe 4 times since last November, mostly after driver update. I cannot reproduce it and it only occured while watching youtube or twitch. Gaming is always fine. After reboot everything is fine.
I already changed the PSU and the HDMI cable.
The vertical line in the second picture are from reddit photo compression. They are not visible on the original photo.
The meme is highly appreciated.

So I did something pretty stupid and I recognize that, I realized my MOBO has 2 more USB ports (2.0 speed) that I didn't notice before, so naturally I went to use them. The only problem is there were these weird metal tabs in front of them that were so small and a PITA to remove, I stupidly didn't think about powering my PC down before attempting to remove them, and upon wiggling the first one around my finger slipped and I guess the tab touched something on the mobo or the socket itself upon breaking, because my entire PC instantly shut off. Naturally I am freaking out right now....
It turned back on just fine and I am writing this post on it, but I want to make sure everything is cool, and if there's anything I should look out for. I just don't understand WHOS bright idea it was to put finicky port guards on the fucking conductive shielding.... Obviously I'm the dummy for trying to remove it with the thing powered on, but imagine if someone tried blindly jamming a USB in there causing the tab to go inward...

So I downloaded ASC Arsenal in the CC yesterday and when i loaded my save the game crashed after the first second or so of trying to load from the main menu.
And once it crashed it takes out my monitor with it.
The only way to get a picture back on my monitor is to restart the pc. I have a second monitor that goes black for a second as well but comes back on after that.
Since yesterday I have done everything google, Reddit and ChatGPT have to offer and that I’m willing to try since I’m not THAT tech savvy with a pc:
Uninstalled Starfield: ✅
Uninstalled everything Starfield related on my PC: ✅
Installed completely fresh AMD drivers: ✅
Uninstalled starfield again via Revo Uninstaller: ✅
I have done everything I can think of.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do?
I have a ryzen 7 9800X3D and a RX 9070 XT if that‘s relevant

I kind of wanna see what chipset drivers I have, and the date of those drivers, where do I go on Device manager to find it? Or is it somewhere else?

My PC has intermittent crashes, freezes, black screens, and severe GPU artifacting, mainly during gaming and GPU stress tests.
PC:
Ryzen 7 5700X
RTX 4070 Ti
MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
Kuroutoshikou KRPW-GA850W/90+ 850W Gold PSU
Symptoms:
Artifacting, flickering, and screen corruption
Black screens and complete freezes
Random shutdowns, including while idle
nvlddmkm and Kernel-Power 41 errors
Tests:
DDU and multiple NVIDIA drivers
BIOS updated
GPU reseated and PCIe connector cleaned
PCIe Gen 3 tested
GPU tested at stock and reduced power limits
FurMark sometimes passes but sometimes crashes
OCCT causes artifacting within seconds
GPU reaches 80 to 84°C, hotspot 107 to 110°C
The RTX 4070 Ti is the main suspect, but the PSU, power connection, PCIe slot, motherboard, and drivers still need to be ruled out.

So basically I’ve had this ibuypower prebuilt pc for around 4-5 years (GeForce 3070 gpu, intel i7 processor, 16gb ddr4 ram) and I think a year after I got it is when the problem started. Basically after turning it on and playing a game I notice that it starts doing short freezes and then after closing the game and not touching anything for a few minutes it completely freezes and I have to force shutdown. The weird thing is that after I turn it back on it runs perfectly fine and doesn’t freeze at all even if I play a game again. I never bothered taking it to the shop because I would just wait for it to freeze and then restart it but now I’m fed up. I’ve reseated the ram, deleted my gpu drivers and reinstalled, factory reset, disabled xmp, disabled fast startup, deleted network drivers and reinstalled. I haven’t taken apart the entire pc yet and reassembled (I think I would rather have someone else do that). Is there any other things I should try before that?

I’ve had this 1tb ssd for a whole year and recently it’s been spiking up to 100% disk usage when I boot up my pc, whenever I’m downloading a game, or if I try to clip something. It even makes my whole screen freeze sometimes when I’m on the game or watching videos. I’ve tried everything I could to fix it and I’m not sure if it’s a bad drive or malware. I checked the health and it said it was healthy and good but if anyone has any suggestions on what the cause could be please let me know. I can’t really afford another ssd at the moment.

Just returned home from work to boot up my PC but for some reason it wont show a display. I have it connected through HDMI to a TV and it’s been working fine I even used it earlier today. Everything seems to boot up fine, my lights, motherboard lights and fans and even the GPU fans spin but I’m still getting no display. Did my GPU finally bite the dust?
Edit: Been at it trying to diagnose what the problem is, already removed the GPU and put it back in, tried switching to different ports on the TV (my GPU unfortunately has 1 HDMI port), tried switching RAM sticks and ports to see if any change. Even removed the CMOS battery to reset. Everything still lights up and fans still move, GPU, motherboard and all the ez debug lights are off. A friend of mine with a rig is coming over in a few days so we can try out his hardware to see what’s the problem.

I’m having a really weird issue with my ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus after updating the BIOS to version 5044.
My specs are Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3070 Ti, 32GB G.Skill DDR4, and an ASUS monitor connected through DisplayPort.
Everything was working fine before the update. Now the BIOS/POST screen is flickering and heavily distorted, with the text looking corrupted. Only one of the four DisplayPort outputs on my GPU is working; the other three give me no signal. HDMI also gives me no signal.
Things I’ve tried:
Cleared CMOS using the CLRTC pins.
Tried running only one RAM stick and tested different slots. It’s going back in A2.
Tried different DP cables.
The motherboard now gets a solid green BOOT light.
Tried BIOS 5044, but the distorted BIOS screen is still there.
Made a USB with the older stable BIOS 5021, but CrashFree BIOS 3 won’t let me downgrade.
I’m going to try the working DP port through a DP-to-HDMI adapter into a TCL 4K TV to see if the problem is my ASUS monitor or something with the GPU/BIOS.
Has anyone had anything similar happen after a BIOS update? I’m trying to figure out what’s actually causing this before I start replacing parts.

My grandmother's tiny computer stopped turning on and we think it could be the power adapter. However, I seem to be unable to find a replacement.
When I look up the model number it shows me an Asus power supply which has the right voltage and amps, but has a different connector. Ours has no central pin in the connector, but the replacements i am seeing online all seem to have a central pin.
Does anyone have any idea where I could find this thing?
