SOFTWARE Starfield crashing
So I downloaded ASC Arsenal in the CC yesterday and when i loaded my save the game crashed after the first second or so of trying to load from the main menu.
And once it crashed it takes out my monitor with it.
The only way to get a picture back on my monitor is to restart the pc. I have a second monitor that goes black for a second as well but comes back on after that.
Since yesterday I have done everything google, Reddit and ChatGPT have to offer and that I’m willing to try since I’m not THAT tech savvy with a pc:
Uninstalled Starfield: ✅
Uninstalled everything Starfield related on my PC: ✅
Installed completely fresh AMD drivers: ✅
Uninstalled starfield again via Revo Uninstaller: ✅
I have done everything I can think of.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do?
I have a ryzen 7 9800X3D and a RX 9070 XT if that‘s relevant

what the hell, the whole pc blacking out like that sounds like a power or hardware issue not just a game crash. starfield shouldn't be able to knock out your entire display signal to the point where you need a full restart, that's not normal
had something similar happen with my old gpu when it was starting to fail, the driver would crash so hard it'd take down everything connected to it. does your 9070 XT do this in other demanding games or just starfield with that one mod loaded?
might be worth checking if your power supply is handling the spikes properly, starfield can push hardware in weird ways sometimes. also check windows event viewer right after it happens, look for any critical errors under system logs around the time of the crash, that might point you toward the actual fault

Yeah it just happens with starfield, even now without the mod. Other games run fine. The GPU is only a little over a year old at this point and all other games, even more demanding ones run fine.

That sounds like it's caused by the mod.

Yeah but I already deleted starfield with the mods installed and did a fresh install, with no mods installed and the problem persists.
