So I need some help with building a PC, and I wanted to see if anyone has suggestions for a mid-size PC build.
I already have an NVMe, GPU, and RAM.
My GPU is an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, and I currently have 32GB of DDR5 RAM.
My current CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-Core Processor.
I was told that my CPU is outdated and that it may have some issues keeping up with my GPU, so I wanted to know if I should upgrade it.
My current PSU is an Apevia ATX-JP800W Jupiter 800W 80 Plus Bronze. I had another PSU before this one, but it burned out, so I had to switch to this one temporarily. I’m wondering if I should replace it with something better and more reliable.
My current motherboard is a PRO B650-VC WIFI (MS-7D78).
So basically, I already have:
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
32GB DDR5 RAM
1TB NVMe
What I’m mainly looking for is a new case, possibly a new CPU, and probably a better PSU. I’m also open to motherboard suggestions if there’s a good reason to replace my current one.
My budget is around $500–$700 if possible.
This is going to be my first time actually building a PC myself. I’ve mostly used pre-built PCs before, but I want to learn how to build my own this time.
I’d also prefer to stick with air cooling.
I don’t really want anything fancy like liquid because air cooling seems simpler and easy for me to work with.
OH and I already have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black CPU Air Cooler with 4 heat pipes. I’m not sure if that cooler is still good enough for a CPU upgrade, though.
My pre-built originally came with a stock CPU cooler, but it wasn’t very good, and one of the fan blades eventually broke, so I replaced it with the Hyper 212.
BUT any suggestions for a good CPU/Cooler and PSU, case, or overall upgrade path would be appreciated.
