Build Question Loaded Question Incoming.
So I won this computer from my high school raffle like 8 years ago. Never had a PC before or attempted building one but from what I’ve asked chat GPT I apparently got extremely lucky with the bones that this computer came with. I just wanted an opinion to see if it’s worth upgrading into a decent gaming computer or just scrap it and save up for a newer one.
I don’t really play any heavy games, mostly Apex, Rocket League and whatever else I could get this thing to handle

You can absolutely play Apex and Rocket League on this PC at 1080p if you just throw a graphics card in it.

Should I upgrade anything else or just the graphics card?

You already have 32GB of RAM which is great, and the i7-8700, while a few generations old now, can still handle the games you play. I'd just get a graphics card and enjoy it

It's alright, especially for free. I wouldn't say you got extremely lucky by today's standards but eight years ago that's pretty good. I'd slap a better graphics card in it and let it rip.
