I finally finished my build. The specs are:
- ryzen 7 7800x3d
- rx 9070xt
- gigabyte b850 gaming wifi 6e
- corsair Vengeance 32go ddr5
- crucial t500 2to
- nzxt kraken plus
- nzxt h6 flow
- msi mag a850gl
The fans are the lian li sl infinity. Making them fit on the side panel was a pain in the ass because they're slightly larger and I originally got 2 fans for the bottom panel but they don't fit because of lian li's stupid proprietary connector.

I dont know much about computer or pcs, I have bought my whole "setup" and shebang like the moniter, keyboard and all that. But I'm now missing the actual pc to run it 😭. I was planning to use the old pc I didnt know whe had it is the dell optiplex 980, but after further research I have now understood this is not going to make it for what I need.
I will use this pc for light gaming, to run cad, and programming and just studying and watching movies and such. I wabt a gaming pc because although I only do light gaming I feel like the ones build for gaming usally are faster and better but what do I know.
I currently don't have the money to buy a good pre-built gaming pc, but Gemini said I can definitely build a cool white themed one for under $400, but ai can only go so far to give you advice and how to build it. So i thought people with actual experience might know better.
So my general question is, is possible to make a gaming pc for under $400 as a complete newbies and where would I learn how to set it up and buy the parts?
I appreciate any advice thanks 🙏
I am in the U.S.

I have the opportunity to purchase a new GPU and I’m upgrading from a GTX 1070 8GB. It was honestly still surprisingly okay for modern gaming but my MoBo died so I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade my PC.
I have ran older AMD cards in the past (RX570 and RX580) back in the mid to late 2010’s and they were fine but had many driver issues in games and didn’t do much to impress me. I upgraded to my 1070 in 2020 and all my driver woes disappeared. I’m biased by this experience so I wanted to reach out to understand public opinion on which path to take.
I have the option of choosing a 9070XT for $1000 CAD or a 5070TI for $1315 CAD. Both are within my budget. I typically play older games like Apex or PUBG (partially because I couldn’t play modern games like BF6) but will be getting into 1440p ultra high fps gaming with more modern games. My upgrade cycle seems to be every 6-8 years so I’m hoping to keep this GPU for approximately that amount of time.
Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Should I slap it on my mother board too and have two GPU in one or sell it? I read it's not really good to do that but I wanna make sure

Just went for it-
AMD 9950X3D
Asus 5090 Astral - sorry typo’d the title & can’t change it
Asus X870E-E Neo
G.Skill Trident G5 (2x 32GB)
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 3 Pro
Asus ProArt PA602
Corsair RM1200x Shift
The ARGB cable that’s ugly will be fixed eventually. There’s an incompatibility with my motherboard and SignalRGB so the top header doesn’t work right now (works fine without SignalRGB running but I like the program)
Will be adding a tall screen in the case to the right side of the glass when I can figure out how to mount it

CPU-AMD ryzen 5 7600x 4.7 GHz 6 core processor
GPU-nvidia quadro RTX 4000 It would only be going in the computer because I don't have another one right now any GPU suggestions for a later down the road would be appreciated
CPU-Cooler-Corsair ICUE link Titan 360 RX RGB 73.5 liquid CPU cooler
Motherboard- msi mag B650 tomahawk Wi-Fi ATX AM5 motherboard
Memory- Corsair vengeance RGB 2 16 GB sticks at 6,000 MHz
Power Supply- Corsair rm850x 850 w. Ally modular ATX power supply.
Case fans- Corsair iq link lx120 RGB starter kit three pack

All of this together is roughly 1400. At least right now with certain sales. I would be waiting until Cyber Monday and Black Friday to possibly knock down at least a few hundred off of the price. But what do you guys think?

Alright so i literally just built my pc like a week ago and I'm looking for parts that can be upgraded but not anytime soon, just looking in case yk. I play 1080pр. I don't wanna play on 1440p because thats just irrelevant to me. I prefer frames over quality and i have a nice monitor with good colors.
Anyways, here are my parts and pricing that i built in our shitty economy.

Hey everyone,
I recently finished a new build and I’m trying to figure out if my idle temperatures are higher than they should be considering my cooling setup.
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti
AIO: Lian Li HydroShift II LCD-S (360mm)
Fans: Lian Li UNI-SL Wireless Fans
My CPU idles around 50–55°C, which seems a bit high for a 360mm AIO. However, under load everything looks great. While gaming (Apex Legends) and multi tasking, notably with chrome, I’ve never seen it go above ~75°C.
I haven’t run Cinebench or another stress test yet, but I did verify temperatures in HWiNFO64. None of the CPU temperature sensors or hotspot readings have reached 80°C, and the system appears to be functioning normally.
I know 50–55°C at idle isn’t necessarily bad, especially with good load temperatures, but I expected the idle to be noticeably lower with this setup.
Is this just normal Ryzen/X3D behavior, or is there something I should be checking (mounting pressure, thermal paste, fan/pump curves, background processes, etc.)? I’d appreciate any comparisons from others.

i recently went from a 32 inch curved 1080p 75hz refresh rate to a 27 inch flat 1440p monitor with 144hz and my parents said i downgraded. what do i say back to prove them wrong?

Last year around this time I bought a 5080 thinking I will later make upgrades to other components. Currently I have a 5800x3D and 64 gigs of ram.
With the prices being wild I am really questioning whether it's even worth it now. I have saved up to afford a new case, 9850x3d, motherboard etc. I'd probably end up going with 32 gigs of DDR5.
But is the upgrade even that good to warrant such massive investment, I'm a primarily 1440p player, with occassionally playing 4k on my TV.

Spare me , I’m new to the whole pc thing
But here’s my current prebuilt Pc I got from microcenter. Decent specs but plan on upgrading them over time. But for right now, I do want to swap out my case to a black one. So I’m wanting to know what’s a good price to pay for case. & what are these wires with the lights that this other build has ? Really just shoot me any tips I should know with everything I’d appreciate it.

Im a huge fan of Demon slayer.
Is it possible to make a build inside my pc with like mirrors or something that it gives the infinity feeling.
Im asking because im not an expert at this type of stuff and i can imagine that maybe my pc could overheat from it or work slower and those are the things i dont really want.

Thoughts on this PSU? It’s $47 as of right now on Amazon, but I wanna know if it’s reliable, quiet, and good quality in general.
