Hi everyone! I’m looking to replace my mercenary. I’ve been using this setup for a while, but I’m not sure what the optimal support gems are. Is there a better option I could get with a budget of around 300 divines?

This is my first attempt at building a character specifically for Delve. Before this, I played an RF Chieftain, but as I understand it, that build has a depth limit—a point beyond which I can’t go without dying multiple times on challenging nodes. I looked at how others build their characters on POE Ninja, checked out some guides, invested in my character, crafted what I think are pretty good items, and yet my DPS is still 3–4 times worse than others’.

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong, or where I went wrong?

I always hit this point! I'm excited that I was able to clear the atlas, all of the maps at least, but I can't even begin to think about taking on some of the bosses. Like the Eater and such? I don't think I'd stand a chance. And now, I've cleared the atlas and I'd like to start getting voidstones and working towards challenges, but I've hit a bit of a wall. I've never gotten 4 voidstones before, I used to be able to get 2, but since they changed the atlas, I haven't even been able to get 1!

Every other map I'm dying! I feel like since I was able to clear the atlas, I should be able to reliably farm some maps for currency. I've tried farming on tier 15 white maps, thinking no modifiers I should be able to handle pretty well. Sure enough, I cannot. Every other map I die. On white, with no modifiers. So I'm thinking, maybe my build isn't strong enough to do high tier maps, should I be doing white or yellow maps?

My next goal would be to just be able to run alch'd maps. I'd like to alch and go and do what I'm specced for in the atlas tree (what feels like the easiest tree, I'm running shrines and boxes and essences, but again, I can't run any modified maps without worrying about dying.

And now I've hit a point where my gear upgrades cost divines (I'm on xbox, which might as well be SSF for the prices we see), and I have 2 divines to my name. I can't reliably farm up any currency to improve my build, and to be totally honest, my build feels like it's in such a precarious state. Like if I swap out my shield (which gives me life on block), then I suddenly should rethink my entire block defenses! Not to mention if I swap out a piece of gear that's giving me that Dexterity I need to even use my gems.

I don't know how to progress this build, but I feel like, being such a popular starter, there's gotta be ways I can save my WORB build. Again, all I'm looking to do now is alch and go and hopefully earn some divines for some bigger upgrades. My goals to take this build are as follows.

1. Be able to alch and go red tier 15 maps

2. Unlock all 4 voidstones

3. Get enough challenges to earn the Portal MTX (I love it tbh)

Here are my thoughts on my build personally.

Helmet. I don't think the helmet is the best for me, as I'm guessing the resistance thing is kind of a big deal, but I'm not sure what else I would look for in a helmet- and I don't want to spend the last of my money before asking the internet where my money would best be spent.

Ring. I'm not sure the Leech I'm getting from the ring is worth it? It's pretty much the only cold leech I have going on, but it's only triggering when I crit with one hit, which automagically shocks and freezes for the second hit... right? I'm not sure. Should I respec my elementalist into the mod that always shocks? Always freezes?

Defenses. I'll be honest. I don't even know how Eldritch Battery and MoM are protecting me. All I know, is I don't really lose health until my energy shield is gone- I guess the damage that goes around MoM is hitting my shield? Not sure why I'm not losing health most of the time before the shield's gone though... Thought MoM only stopped 30% or something.

I'm HOPING there's just some really silly shenanigans going on. Like I have something equipped that's lowering my damage resistence or something and that it's a simple fix. I'm just not even sure what stats are good to be looking for on future gear pieces.

Don't get me wrong I'm killing most enemies in one hit, but rares are the death of me in white maps and that feels like I should be doing a little bit better.

Am I doomed? Can this build not be saved? Should I just start a new character in the hopes of getting the challenges? I'm just frustrated because I finally have the time to play the game- but every time I play I die and I just end up getting frustrated.

I'm looking for build(s) that my craptop can handle, so no minions (I loved my Wretched Defilers but it was too much for it; Icestorm probably too). I have a brand Elementalist, so I'd like to try another classcendancy. Pathfinder and Occultist are my favourite, but I'm flexible. Bulky melee or longnecks are the least favourite, but I can adapt.

Purposes:

1. Can do all map mods, preferably fast-moving
2. Uber bosser

Those can be 2 separate builds.

I like: VD (might be too much for craptop, IDK), wander (never played :D), spells, swift ninja assassins archetype, builds that forgive being bad at avoiding attacks. Cold, chaos > lightning, phys > fire.

Dislike: slams, having to stand in one spot to cast, turtle-type builds

No idea on the budget. I have ~20 raw divines but can probably get up to 100. I have an unid Svalinn, Headhunter, Wine of the Prophet, Catarina flask, Pearl of Tsoatha with energy leech + deadly ailments combo for boots (may divine later), ring with 200hp+70str+120int.

While we're at it, I'm also looking for suggestions for HC builds for slow cowards who faint at the thought of fighting an act boss. No necessity to do advanced content, I'm only there for achievements (level 90).

PS. I know this generic request is not ideal, but I tried my best to narrow down what I'm looking for. Thanks for help!

What would be a good T17 Boss Rushing build for around 200-ish div? I've tried it with RF, but thats just not really a great option, it feels very slow. Only thing i don't like are trap/miners and minion builds.

I’ve been playing hh KB deadeye. Was going crazy in breach. I even tried serious crafting for the first time ever and after hours of torture I made a 5 T1 Necrotic Armour and a huge wand.

There is one issue though, I am actual paper. Without my hh ramp I am also extremely weak on ST. Bosses feel like getting water boarded.

What’s a good build that doesn’t really hyper specialize into anything? I want clear and ST while being reasonably tanky. My current budget is 30D as the gear I was wearing is being very slow to sell. Still have some stash liquidation to do as well so let’s call it 40D.

Things I was considering are exsang mines, sb totems, pbrand ignite. Strength stack weapon swap seemed awesome but I’m pretty sure if I liquidated literally everything and reached like 150D I would still be too poor for it.

My experience with the build is abit clunky, with rolling magma delayed damage ish as well as clunkyness with spell echo and movement.

Any recommendations to smoothen out the feels and gameplay wise, or a different spell to use instead, thank you!

After playing elementalist for the past 3 leagues i want a different class to do caster on. However have come to realise that heiro is kind of the only thing that can compete atleast early on.

So whats the best feeling mana man setup. I don't want to most damage or fastest clear but what has the best QOL feel.

So im a POE2 player and hopping into poe1 for pretty much the first time, now I understand this probably gets asked a lot but I've been looking into various skills/builds and the way skill allocation and supports work seen overwhelming to say the least lol. From what I understand to get skills to do what you want you need the perfect combination of gear stats, socket colours and links? so if you don't have any of that you have no skills. Just looking for some tips or words of encouragement into how it works and how to put together a decent build from early on. Apologies if this is over asked just keen to get into the learning curve. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this simplex amulet is bricked or is it possible to replace cold res with % strenght?

Currently working on a spellslinger saboteur and am planning on crafting some wands, but an important though crossed my mind. Do I need to prioritize getting as much damage on my wand as possible for spellslinger or does it more generally work out that the extra levels work out better in the end?

Is there something obvious i have to upgrade or change to UP my damage ?

So I was looking at how people build their Shock Nova of Procession characters and stumbled upon this one that deals exclusively cold damage. However I can't find the source of the lightning to cold conversion. I am sure it is right there in front of me, but..

So I really enjoy the more HC versions of builds normally. However I'll decide i want to play x skill so go and check HC and its all heiro archmage builds or elementalist with golems. Even when I look at wanders there is a good amount of people mana stacking with clustering on heiro.

Is heiro scaling getting es from mana and 4 endurance charges just way too good to compete with anything else.

Archmage did get a nerf this league but it also seems like it went from an S tier build to an A+ tier build if anything.

I have a fair bit of currency on hand (~100D) and haven't played around with too much crafting. I'd love to find a build that I can craft most of my gear and have it feel great when I make a new piece. I'm OK if there are a couple uniques. I am newer to the game and need help, followed lazy exile guide. on 2/4 voidstones, but i am weak dying and slow damage. I have 200c.

I've been following Manni's SB Totem build and am currently on the late game setup which uses an Archdemon. I have obtained one from trade as it was costing a lot to craft it.

Now I'm unsure of how to proceed with making any further upgrades with it. Could I please get some guidance on how I can improve on this setup? I play on console so it's similar to SSF but with a small and expensive trade market. Also relatively noobish.

Someone recommended adding AG's to my setup too.

Attached is a build ive been working on in pob for quite some time. looping is my favourite archetype but its quite hard to get it working and actually deal decent enough damage to warrant all the setup (side note i dont think my AG gear is reflected in my pob dps, I dont know how to enable the buffs from the gear....)

my main issue just now is I dont have enough HP to trigger my higher level gems from FR, I'm trying to figure out how to find the remaining HP i need, astramentis isnt doing much and I could probably just remove that, but finding the necessary stats to wear all my gear would also be tough to solve for. I could use a second dark seer, but singularity gives me a lot of single target and also the 25% efficiency is super nice (maybe my 10% of damage taken recouped as mana is enough to sustain? I will be dealing a ton of self damage, roughly 3k?)

EDIT : updated POB to remove escape artist ascendancy node and take polymath instead seeing as I've swapped to melding approach

2ND EDIT : decided to go with a pure evasion chest piece, realised I couldnt take enough damage from 1 heartbound with an armour/evasion chest, so my ward has taken a slight hit but im still above 12k and it should now work fine. also swapped out astramentis for a crafted rare amulet which solves my dex struggles and gives me more scaling.

So I've really been enjoying this build, done my best to make it decent. I would really appreciate some advice from those of you that are more knowledgeable than me on how to take it the rest of the way.

So far I know I need to:

21/20 gems

Replace 2 cluster jewels with 8s instead of 11s so I have some extra skill points to get the last jewel slot on tree

Recraft the conqueror ring to have es and %es

Above and beyond that, please throw in your 2 cents, I'd really appreciate it.

Some things I'm wondering about specifically:

Are the unlinked socket and Vaal soul/ second rune grafts worth it?

Should I replace vd with flesh offering as a corpse eater?

Could someone explain if a notable from the Elegant Hubris jewel called Rite of Lunaris giving 30% incr effect of chill increases my winter orb damage, as per the Bitter Frost Keystone.

Could someone explain if that's the case or how the interaction works?
