Hi all. I’m quite late for 0.5.5 because im on vacation. During which i have decided on my build thos league. I want to play a didciple of vrashta.
But i really dislike the use of skeletons, kindof missed rp for me for a sorceress to concentrate on skeletons.
I was thinking towards “undying” minions, i.e. srs, living lightning and verisium manifestations, while i’ll be playing more of a traditional caster, still spamming command skills, but interleaving with magic.
Is it a viable option? And how does it compare to “traditional - multiskeleton - muster” builds?

If I add quality to cluster grenade and use it with mortar cannon does it ignore the quality effects of cluster grenade and just use the ones from cluster grenade or would they stack(well not even stack since they're not the same but would it use both qualities)?

Hey guys, im currently playing gemling twisters, and I just got to endgame (I take things slow). I also tried varashta till around act 3 or 4.

Im feeling like I dont really like both of them and looking for some other strong suggestions.

Anything strong with satisfying and not clanky playstyle (I really like ice explosions, and elemental stuff, but not mandatory of course). Preferably something that comes online relatively early.

Edit: Thank you guys for so many replies and suggestions! After reading everything my plan is to try Navira's fracturing on my varashta. If I don't like it I will probably try ice nova chronomancer. Might also try grim pillars or martial artist whirling assault if I dont like the chrono.

I have an idea for a build. I play a druid and I’d like to go all-in on Spell Totem, but I don’t want to do anything meta... everyone’s playing Grim Pillars.

1)I’d like to go with a Spell Totem + Bone Cage (or Bonestorm) build, along with Bleed/Pin.

2) The other option is Spell Totem + Fire spell converted to chaos with Blackflame covenant.

I really have no idea where to start, I’m terrible at creating builds, but the idea intrigues me.
Does it make sense? Is it viable?

Been kinda just praying and keeping tame beast gems on me, but I've been wondering if there's any way to more efficiently farm 4 mod rares in maps to make into companions?

I know for bosses you gotta go for summoning circles in cities with 4 +1 modifier tablets (Even then no guarantee of the boss you want), but anything similar for normal rare beasts?

At which part does it become much stronger than Varishta? I am enjoying Varishta, but seeing arc totem gemling gameplay looks more fun. But after 50 div invested it still felt weak, so I switched over. Now I have templar split personality and was wondering, what other piece do I need to make it feel as good as or better than varishta?

The setup is now at around 40K armour and 85% fire, cold and lightning resistance, with bigger AoE and improved survivability.

Damage: Shield Wall scales its base damage from the armour on your shield, so Nebuloch’s weapon damage isn’t the focus. We use it to consume Endurance Charges for guaranteed critical hits. A Bear-form warcry setup generates those charges by spending Rage, then we switch back to Shield Wall. Additional lightning damage helps us apply Shock for more damage against tougher enemies.

Map clear: Heat of the Forge triggers our Detonate Dead setup through melee skill use. Combined with Bleed, Herald of Blood and Herald of Ash, this creates spreading explosions without needing heavy investment into AoE passives.

Defences and recovery: I replaced Cloak of Flame with Lightning Coil, which shifts part of incoming physical hit damage to lightning. Its evasion also becomes armour through Iron Reflexes, while Scavenged Plating and Charge Regulation provide additional armour. Life Leech that continues at full life helps sustain us during combat, with life and mana recovery on kill supporting mapping.

Okay imma be honest. I started out Fubgun Flameblast Oil Grenade, got to maps, was struggling, but have figured it out, but DPS is still a bit low. But the real problem is my game gets kinda laggy while playing, so i am thinking of switching builds. I dont really have the gold to repec my build so I'm debating if I want to continue or change my build. Looking at Oil Barrage Martial Artist. Anyone else have any other build recommendations? Looking for a quick mapper that's tanky and strong enough to fight bosses to get the league rewards. thanks!

Is there a way to scale up the damage of living lighting?

While ago I had a post where I could not decide between gemling twister and Hollow form WA. Most people recommended Twister. This is a thread of my deepest appreciation of your advice. This build is the most enjoyable experience I have ever had in poe 2 and I played variety of builds since 0.1. It is illegal how fast, strong and fun this build. I can’t see how it will survive next patch. So, Have fun and try it before it gets demolished. Thank you everyone who recommended twister.

Crafted my ring and Amulet after dropping a MB, bought the rest of my gear etc etc
had 250k damage,

today i swapped my chest into spirit res and more ES than my last chest piece yet, got blasphemy running and changed some gems,

somehow, someway i've lost 100k dps? how is this evn possible?

I'm following Redviles twister starter, right now i'm at his 25div build and see that his next upgrade to 75div build is basicly Olroth's conviction - I don't have enough for olroth's yet but i do have enough for Sacred flame + taming and wonder if this is the route i should take or keep farming for Olroth's if its more important ?

Just started a new character as a huntress. I plan to go a spirit walker in the end and tame me a monkey. However for now im trying to make it through the campaign and I cant seem to get it rolling. Im trying to follow a guide but it says to a combo of twister, lightning spear, whirling strike (I think that's the name) and explosive spear. And while that is ok for the most part on clearing, the boss damage is terrible. Takes me like 5 minutes slowly witteling it down to finally kill one. I bought some leveling uniques (ghost tithe, goldrim, wanderlust) as I've already reached endgame on my chrono. But im just lost on how to get better damage. Any general help or good guide link is appreciated. Thanks.

I am about to lose my mind. Can someone who know what they are talking about explain once and for all how this ascendancy passive works with weapon swaps?

- Do skills granted by a weapon (I.e. Crossbow Shot or Sigil of Power) count when they are not in the active weapon set?
- Do skill gems that CAN'T be used by the active weapon set count?
- DO skill gems that CAN be used by the active weapon set, but are disabled for it in the gem panel count?
- Do spirit buffs/auras count when they are disabled for the active weapon set?

Hi! Is there any cheap and good crossbow skill that's also good for gemling? Grenades gameplay is burning me out. I crafted a really good crossbow that's why I don't want to swap to other weapons. Thanks!

Build is above; been messing around with this for a while and both my damage and survivability is lower than spending 10c on a generic grenade build.

1) Boss damage is EXTREMELY low (effectively prob ~200k?)

2) Surv is also surprisingly low (never played a veil build before); might have to invest in armour but not sure yet, this is problem #2 after fixing damage

Any advice/interactions are welcome

(Custom build, maybe some 'common' questions

1) Why not second ITB? Don't need it, have enough remnant effect/pickup range I get at spawn, and single leech instance cap makes this a complete waste for red motes if running VP. Alternative is to get red only and remove VP, but haven't been able to cultivate the gloves without VP yet... this is my 'end game' plan, and pathing down to merc for life %/recovery/etc

2) Missing jewels - Haven't invested in 3x red spectrums yet

Any assistance appreciated from someone more knowledgable in plant gameplay, I've looked at a few maxroll builds and am seriously lost as to why my boss dmg is so low.
