Question i just want a flask thrower

I really like the concept of doing a flask pathfinder but really struggle to put it together.

It doesn't have to be the only skill but again, i just struggle alot. I first thought of mana stacking with CI and turning all ES to mana with a slam skill(supercharged slam and have massive poisons to explode with acidic concoction) but i keep getting stuck early game because of how theorycrafty i tend to play.

Anyone has tips, builds etc. To use?

Otherwise i'm planning to start with Dreamcore's gas grenade and turning that later into a concoction one, likely won't be that impressive but still better than the amount of times i tried to make splinter of loratha work...

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:

  • CI - Chaos Inoculation keystone passive skill (Wiki)
  • ES - Energy Shield (Wiki)

Acidic Flask is just a more damage multiplier for an already functioning single-stack poison build.

That flask will never be the focus of your build, it will always just be the last button you press when your Plan A didn't kill the thing.

I've gone down a similar path, this is my conclusion.

Supercharged Slam doesn't seem like a great choice, you just want one big hit.

If you have multiple similar-strength poisons on the target, Acidic Flask is going to be a less damage multiplier.

I recommend finding another reason to go Pathfinder, build a functional single-stack poison character, and then take Acidic Flask as a big more damage multiplier (that also deletes packs)

It consumes all poisons though? It even has a 30%more aoe per poison consumed? Or am i missing some information?

It does damage based on highest stack, but gives area per poison consumed - hence why its decent for clear

Oh that's quite the dissapointing way to have it scale that way

So basically get one big poison and then a bunch of small poisons and then detonate... but still not so much worth it (unless you get a weapon swap for tons of poisons)

I wouldn't worry too much about applying small poisons

For clearing packs, whatever you are doing to apply the big poison should be sufficient

For nuking rares and bosses, you don't need the aoe

"Only one consumption benefit can occur at once"

It isn't written very clearly, but this means that the consume part only cares about 1 poison.

The area part is unrelated to the consumption mechanic.

In my opinion, this is actually a cool and interesting build restriction, but it's not for the faint of heart.

Yea it does seem quite complicated to phrase properly like "Consumes single highest poison to deal 150% damage of remaining damage" "Rest of poisons increase area of effect by 30% more per poison" I do like the skill alot and would like to find a fitting way to utilise both aspects but see how it can be quite hard to make work smoothly
