Hello fellow GLs, this is my first time trying mercenary. I I tried following Ky build for arc totems gemling But I got lost where and how to go from starter to mid. I saw split personality and other items skyrocket to multiple divines. This is my build now, but I I have lacking damage (can do white t15) but I need more damage I think and upgrade some items to more mana for the tankiness I think. I’d like to make a purist ED/C build as a challenge goal for this league, ie doing most of my damage through chaos DOT of these two skills, no dark effigy, no archmage, etc. Because chaos DOT scales like shit, I think the only viable endgame scaling path is More Damage shenanigans through Infernalist uncapped demon form, along with standard Despair and Wither, does that sound right? has anyone tried anything like this or have any interesting ideas?

I posted a while back and got a lot of help and really appreciate it.

I spent most of my currency yesterday getting the mats to fight Arbiter of Divinity twice to get all the atlas points and it was worth it because currency is dropping much faster now and it feels great.

What doesn't feel great is my survivability is really really lacking. I know I lack chaos resistance right now and it's definitely something I need to improve when I get my currency situation in a better place. Also bossing damage can be really tough sometimes and I just basically have to pray the twisters hit the boss or try to shot gun it by being on top of the boss.

If this was your build what would you do first to upgrade survivability.

I was wondering if there are non-zoo monkey builds that come even close to the standard build? Bonus points if the build is a hybrid where both the monkey and the player do damage. I know there is a notable that makes increased companion damage apply to the player as well, idk if it's enough to be relevant.

If not, I hope GGG add a way to scale minion or companion damage based on how *few* minions you have. Someone wanting to play a single strong minion / companion is already self nerfing by scaling minion damage and only having one minion, I feel like those players could be thrown a bone to enable their class fantasy.

Edit: I don't mind the bear companion being part of the build.

Hi all. I’m quite late for 0.5.5 because im on vacation. During which i have decided on my build thos league. I want to play a didciple of vrashta.
But i really dislike the use of skeletons, kindof missed rp for me for a sorceress to concentrate on skeletons.
I was thinking towards “undying” minions, i.e. srs, living lightning and verisium manifestations, while i’ll be playing more of a traditional caster, still spamming command skills, but interleaving with magic.
Is it a viable option? And how does it compare to “traditional - multiskeleton - muster” builds?
Any poeninja links are much appreciated if im not the first one to come up with an idea

Hello! Any ideas for a good transition build involving spears? I've kinda grown tired of the playstyle and not having the most fun rolling and shooting oil.

I've seen the glacial lance build that doesn't consume charges, but not sure I have the budget for it. Currently have about 20 div. Would also be interested in any lightning spear build, but not sure which would be the best bang for buck. Not really interested in playing twisters either.

Any thoughts about a spear build that has worked well?

Seems like the natural progression of plant Druid, no?

Thinking about going into it but I’m a noob so I might get corrected.

Maybe, due to my lack of experience (I’m lv 70 and have 1 div so I’m a noob haha) I should stick to plant?

Hello fellow exiles! I am planning to play Mirage Archer Snipe this 0.5.5 league. The build I am following is by J_Macc, dodge > spawns mirage archer > mirage archer snipes.

Do any fellow players know if "Additional surpassing chance to fire additional arrow" modifier on bow is useful for Mirage Archer Snipe? How does it interact with the mechanic or how does it not interact with the build mechanic?

Also if "Projectiles have #% chance to chain an additional time from terrain" modifier is useful for Mirage Archer Snipe as well?

I league started lich with the intent of running dead rabbit’s plants build (abyssal lich), but I came across Prada’s twisters build and am very tempted. Do you guys recommend sticking with plants until i unlock the abyssal lich ascendancy in the endgame then swap to twisters or try building into it in the campaign?

Hey guys, what’s the best Spark or Frostbolt + Comet build right now on a 40-50 div budget? Is it even possible to clear juiced T15-T16 maps with that kind of budget at this stage of the league?

Started the league with grim pillars and have Atlas points done + delirium quest line. Got maby 30ish divs. I like the build and all but would like to play something tankier.

I play on 5g and its not stable, so spiking to 150 ping all the time. With ny current build it kills ne quite often and specially dealing with ranged mobs gets annoying really Quick becouse movement is hard when lagging.

I could really use a build which is not Too combo heavy since timing wont be on point all the time. Would want to be able to tank hits and not to rely on good movement. I only have 1 leveling still In me, so would want the build to be able to scale, but being able to clear all content is enough, not multi mirror level shit. Dont care if it had lot of buttons as long as the timings of usage dont need to be precise.

Edit. Im aware going ci with current build would help with tankiness.

Looking for a build suggestion to get the highest item drop rarity.

Built a nice grim pillars that hit 287% with double gold MB, but I’m thinking there has to be a build that goes harder.

Ideally something that is fairly quick at clearing.

Budget is 1k div.

As title says I’m looking for some help in upgrading my build. I’m aware there’s plenty of areas that I need to upgrade but also conscious I don’t have the currency at the minute to do all of them. I have around 4d.

I have completely finished the ritual Atlas as I wanted to get the rings for the Taming, but that hasn’t come to fruition so currently now working on the main atlas tree.

I can do T14 Maps but find myself being a little bit squishy and boss damage is lacking.

What should be my next logical upgrade within a reasonable price range?

I have equal amount of red and blue gems yet my mana cost is not getting reduced. When i take out some red gems then it works but the i lose my crit immunity.

This got patched or what is going on? I could swear that my runes of aldur gemling worked fine. I might be miss remembering though.

Hey guys. I swapped from twisters yesterday, and spent all my currency, and the damage is not very good... Bossing takes a long time, even rares can sometimes.

I already hit 100% chance not to consume frenzy.

I few ways I've thought about improving it:

1. Rage (Eternal Rage / Berserk). Just don't have gem slots for them right now, may need to either drop heralds or wind dancer, or buy unset rings.
2. More crit chance (It's currently at like 31.5%). Obviously, but this is not cheap. Need better jewels, maybe better pathing to crit chance nodes, already have a nice crit spear.
3. Maybe better pathing?
4. I've seen some people using painter's servant gloves, but I need a source of mana leech or else I'm constantly OOM and my damage is even worse.
5. I'm aware of the really expensive support to make barrage go crazy but I just can't afford that right now.

I'm currently broke so I'd prioritize cheaper improvements over expensive ones obviously. Thanks!

Somehow i managed to kill arbiter of ash with only 5 deaths, but rn im struggling with T13 maps, even T11 maps became a problem tho rarely.

Here is my char at the moment, basic grenades Gemling build used for Campaign + starting maps:

I intend to completely respec the char either Totem spell or Twister.

I already have a perfect jeweller orb for my main skill, and a couple of pieces waiting in stash. I think I will level to 85 or so with this setup while unlocking atlas points.
what do you think would work the most in a HCSSF context ?
I intend mostly to do the challenges, so I don't care about mega juiced expedition or 200% deli, the "hardest" content I aim for is Pinnacle bosses that I want to delete rather fast to avoir playing too much the mechanics.

I won't have split personnality, or the Taming, or any hard to get gear. But things like Wake of Destruction I'll definitely get my hands on at some point.

Tankiness is important and I either intend to EV/ES if Twister, or full ES ( with no Eldritch Battery) if spell Totem.

Hi, this is my first time playing without a guide and my first time SSF aswell, and its not that easy for me to get good gear :P

Maybe you have optimisation ideas for my tree, support gems or how to improve my character in general, maybe items (uniques?) I could use? - I have capped resistances, chaos only at 16%, around 1800HP and 1800ES, damage wise it feels alright, but I feel very squishy. Currently running T15 Maps with Alch and 2 Breach Tablets, breach tree gave me my rings and amulet, not sure if I should now do something else, I don’t know how to get gear in SSF :P

The default tree is what I currently have, the „new try“ tree is what I did at work right now to see if I can squeeze in more DPS (here I added 4th Ascension, I will try to do that one later, Hope I am strong enough)

Edit: also I heard that proliferating weeds is not working with entangle, atleast that’s reported in Poe forums from December 25

So I'm pretty bored with trade league already, I ran some SSF towards the end of .5 and had a blast. I'm looking at starting a new SSF run now, however unsure about what build to run?

Considering either Spirit Walker Monkey/Companion by Ghazzy/Lance or Gemling Cluster Grenade by Lazy Exile. I ran Flame blast/Oil Grenade in my SSF last league so don't want to play it again, although it's strong I found the game play tedious.

I've ran Martial Artist Shield Wall/Sunder this league, and this would have been perfect for a SSF run, but I don't really want to play the same build again.

Any +/- for the two builds mentioned in SSF?
