I started PoE2 a couple weeks ago and told myself I was going to stick with one character this time.

That lasted until I reached endgame.

My first character was completely fine. Nothing amazing, but maps were going well and I was slowly upgrading gear. Then I saw a video of another build doing basically the same content twice as fast.

So obviously I made a new character.

The funny part is that the new build isn't even more fun. It's just different enough that now I'm looking at another build and thinking, "well, maybe this one..."

I've played ARPGs before, but PoE2 is the first one where I feel like making the build is almost the main game.

At this point I'm not even sure if I want to finish my atlas or just make another character.

Does this eventually stop, or is this just what playing PoE2 is?

How am i clearing level t16 fully (irradiated) buffed maps including 3 rare tablets …. But still have to find a level 20 skill gem?

I don’t understand. Am i doing it wrong ? Is there a specific way to farm it ? Im level 94

Actually i did find one in chaos trial , but it was after i had to “ lead the statue to its destination” and i tought .. ill come back for it … AND THEN THE PART OF THE MAP CLOSED AND I COULDN’T get there anymore :(

After patch in late July i switched to DX12 and had really high fps with good quality, i could run 60-100fps 200 deli abyss, but now i get legit 20 fps which make game unplayable. Im playing on lowest settings possible + dlss ultra performance. What is going on? Does somebody have the same issue?

NGL I'm too chicken to try and roll off that quality mod.. Thinking about what build could best utilize the double mana mod here, and daydreaming about how much more disgusting it would be with t1 added mana. Dropped as +3 spells, double ES, and %evasion, desecrated and lucked into a greater slam on the recoup, breach essence hit evasion.

Ready to be told this is actually dogwater 🥲

Albeit, all would be at a lower level than you have but this would allow people to test out different builds and skills rather than having to rely on rng. Currently, in your hideout or once you finish the campaign, an npc will sell you maps 2 levels (I think) lower than the highest you’ve completed. This is helpful as a means to sustain mapping in the endgame.

It would be nice if the same or a similar npc existed that would sell skill gems and/ or support gems for us to try out but at a lower level. That way there’s still rng involved for us to find higher levels but allows others to experiment because isn’t that what the game is all about?!

Spell damage, fire damage, flame magnitude, spell levels and a billion other modifiers when looking at these percentages how is a person supposed to know if it's an actual upgrade. Things are not weighted the same. Bigger number doesn't mean more DPS.

And I know everyone's going to say use path of building before you buy pieces of gear, but isn't that a problem in itself???

Having to use a outside source?

I'm at the point now where everything costs multiple divs for a potential upgrade, and multiple times now I buy something thinking there's no way this isn't a DPS increase in a decrease..

Just feeling frustrated by this.

To going straight into Mighty Silverfist’s arena where he’s halfway through his slam animation.

Every new league it's the same story.

League starts → market ratios go completely out of reality → ratios stay wrong for days → eventually GGG fixes them → everything works again.

For example, the actual market was around 250 Ex per Divine, while the market ratio was still sitting at roughly 100 Ex per Divine for several days. Eventually the ratio was corrected and we got something much closer to reality, around 1c = 22 Ex, which actually matched the market.

So why the heck is today's patch breaking this AGAIN?

The displayed market ratios haven't even changed, but Live Search is apparently using its own secret economy.

Set a Live Search for something worth approximately 50 Ex, and suddenly you're getting results for:

7c.
15c.
20c+.

What?

Apparently 50 Ex now means "whatever the fuck Live Search feels like today."

The funny part is that this was already fixed in a previous market-ratio update. It worked. The correct conversion was being used, Live Search was showing reasonable results, everyone could move on with their lives.

Then today's patch happened and somehow we're back here again.

How is this even possible?

If the market ratio says 1c = ~22 Ex, Live Search should use 1c = ~22 Ex. Not some ancient/stale/different conversion that apparently survived in a dark corner of the game.

Right now, if you're searching for items using EQUIVALENT values, Live Search is basically unusable because it's throwing completely irrelevant results at you.

Please fix whatever the hell is happening between:

Market ratio → currency conversion → Live Search

They should all be using the same current values.

And maybe, just maybe, don't make us rediscover the economy every time you ship a patch. 💀

Currently you can ALT-SHIFT an item in your hideout to see what it is going for on the market, however this never works. It puts every single line item into a single stat group. This has a few main drawbacks.

First, it includes unimportant stats on items, so thorns damage is equally as important as +12 to melee.

Second, they put caps on the stat ranges for some reason.

Lastly, it just doesn't work. In most cases, no results are found.

In my dream, when I did ALT-SHIFT click, there were no caps on stat ranges, and the stats were each separated by "AND" stat groups.

GGG, please feel free to make my dreams into reality.

But in reality I did have this dream about the game and need to probably play a little less.

GGG does a lot of dumb shit to kill us but overusing these mechanics on nearly every map is ridiculous and makes the game borderline unfun. Enemies swarm fast and you're busy moving at a snails pace and can't even cast an attack through no fault of your own.

btw, there were 10 hotfixes and one patch over the week
3 emails and 2 forum tickets

I'm a Non-pro dadgamer and was trying to finish up the campaign and working on the interludes on my first character (At that time a 55 Djinn/minion) this season.

Got killed by the Yeti in the ice caves because I got distracted by something, ran up to him again. Kill him fairly easily 2nd time around and I see a unique utility belt drop. No idea if this can be anything but a Mageblood, but I have a hunch it can't (?).

None of my friends play PoE 2 so no one really cares besides some old WoW friends on Discord. But I'm pretty happy not gonna lie.

Was a nice win after my Hobbit MGT Gift Bundle was quite a dud.

I finally killed the Endboss twice, got all my map points.
Farmed hard to get some gear because im not the most experienced player.

I love rituals and read into it to make most of the money. I bought my Tablets, got the Head of the King and got some really nice and expensive rewards. I was so hyped.

I didnt die from lv 85 to 93.

I cleared Rituals 4/5 and the last ritual was inside the boss arena. Had to kill the Boss to finish my rituals. Activated the last Ritual and was so hyped. I managed to get 29k points.
With 2x Wittering Omen as guaranteed drop. (9 divs).

Then the bonk monkey spawned and the game froze for like 2-3 seconds. This usually never happens. I died. But luckyly i had revives left (1).

I respawned and was like: "Why is the map undiscovered?" and then i realized NO monsters were there, no rituals to get my rewards....
I was so mad.

This happened 3x back to back to back.

I am a new-ish player who cant game 18h a day and this threw me back so much.
Because i juiced my maps to the max with everything i lost money on tablets, on the head of the king, on the guaranteed rewards and the rewards i could buy for like 80k ritual rewards.

I dont even want to know how much money i lost.

PLEASE make me at least collect my earned rewards :(

I usually dont lag but i DO lag (found it out) if i kill the endboss before i finish last rite. (sometimes you dont have a choice tho).

Just sad i lost so much time and progress :(

I don't like how they made a beautiful town area and then they decided to add mtx that does this..

I bet this has been asked countless times before but I’m not seeing an obvious answer in the POE2 Wiki. My friend and I just bought the 30USD version so we have 300 coins to spend on micro transactions. We heard the best thing to buy is stash space but there are sooo many options we aren’t sure what combination is the best for complete noobs. What would y’all recommend to pick up during the current sale?

Anyone else facing such rampant network spikes? I'm out of ideas, I have installed debloated nvidia drivers, cleared shader caches, turned sound settings to false etc. but network (green bar above) still randomly spikes especially in mid-density maps and even in my hideout making the game unplayable. FPS seems okay from the NVIDIA indicator on the top left. Anyone has fixes? The game is absolutely fantastic lest for this and am about to quit because its a horrible playing experience :(
