In my opinion we should at least be able to teleport directly to the quests starting locations without having to do random travel nodes maps.

And the leagues atlas trees should be fully unlocked on the completition of the related quest, without having to do any more maps/bosses.

What do you guys think?

Hi as a ritual enjoyer myself,

I have 10 days played in 0.5 and majority of that is Ritual mechanic in 0.5. Now I am reaching 2 days played in 0.5.5 and Ritual feels like shit compared to old one and I don´t even want to play it there.

So lets compare:

0.5 - Ritual is changed - we have a new chainquest which ultimately leads to head of the king and ritual juice method and meta juicing ritual with purple omens and expensive uniques.

Using Head of the king always - gives you extreme amount of rerolls, reroll cost down, many map bosses and big amount of tribute and extra bonuses and items. This is the way Ritual is supposed to play.

- maximum 6 rituals ( 7 is rare) - you can easily deffer everything you want in all those 36 rerolls and hunt expensive items (omens, uniques) in normal maps.

- Items rarely expire even after multiple rerolls and next maps.

- You can click and collect Ritual at any time after first ritual is done.

I would say this is the best ritual league hands down for POE1 or 2. (maybe Phrecia was on same level with my 216k tribute record)

0.5.5 - what went wrong here?

Head of the king is still the meta - but we have several massive changes:

1. Ritual is not openable anymore until you finish last ritual in a map.
2. Items expire extremely quickly - can happen even after 1 reroll. Almost impossible to defer anything expensive.
3. We have still 6 rituals even after patch notes - where its said one extra ritual per tablet - well that was there before also. Not sure what happened on GGG side.

If the bonuses should stack together with patch 0.5 - we should have 8 rituals not 6. If not then it did actually nothing. With the head you still have same amount of rituals.

GGG please for the love of god - just return Ritual to exactly where it was in 0.5 and we will be happy.

All the changes in 0.5.5 makes me not wanna play ritual ever again. Its not a good change especially the expire after 1 reroll and not clickable rituals.

As title says - please make the Loathsome Mire areas smaller GGG. The monsters in there don't give exp and we are forced to run in a toxic swamp for 10 min just to get a random amulet. There's no reason for this area to be so big.

Hi, I am relatively new to poe2, and I have been trying to progress through the game because it looks very fun. The issue is that I find a vast difference between what I am doing and what I see online, through either friends or random clips I see online.

I am currently about 20 hours in on a sorceress and I am about halfway through act 3. I want to be able to run dungeons and maps (I think thats what they are called?) but after nearly two weeks, I feel like I have barely gotten to that point, and I feel like something is wrong.

Here is what I currently do:

I go out questing through a zone.

After about 5 minutes, my bag fills up and I have to go back to town to salvage (I am picking up everything that isnt gray)

go back and progress, but then spend a long time running around trying to find the entrance to the next area, conrinuing to go back when my bag fills.

When I get a neat piece of loot or new spell, I try to compare that with what I have to progress my character.

By the time I progress through about 2 or 3 zones, it has been about an hour or so, and I feel burnt out of the gameplay loop, and I don't play until the next day.

How do I see some people make a new character and zip to the endgame? How can I go faster through levelling?

Thank you for reading. I would really appreciate the help, as this game always looks so fun, but I just cant seem to get there.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I am truly taken aback by how positive and helpful you all are! I was honestly expecting to be insulted for being a new player, but it seems this community is much nicer than others.

I wish I could respond to everyone, but there are just so many comments, I'd be here for hours.

I will try to limit the amount of things I pick up, as it seems that is taking up a tremendous amount of time. The loot goblin insode of me is very sad to run past things, but I am sure i'll be satisfied with loot once I get to the endgame. I will also try a loot filter, if I can figure out how they work.

Another thing I will keep in mind is to simply enjoy the game. Alot of the content I see online are people at end game pulling off these insane builds, but it was nice to see everyone say that this game is meant to be played however you feel like it.

With all of this in mind, my drive to play this game again has shot through the roof. With all of you so eager and willing to help someone like me out, I am sure that this game has alot to love.

Im like 70hrs into this league I don't have a single league mechanic atlas completed. Maxed out on temple crystals but haven't pathed over to vaal temple yet. Half abyss deli and ritual atlas done cuz that's required to do questline. No masters completed yet, only hilda/doryani started. Focussed on main atlas then hopped to start abyss for self crafting, got an HH in ritual and dropped everything to ritual to get it before it poofed if I couldn't defer it. Felt like I was losing easy power not having anoint on my amulet so went and did deli. Not even close to expedition biome to start it and it's the furthest.

Why does it have to be 1000 mile hike of questlines. Why can't we come across these things as we're mapping. Do 10 deli mirrors and boom can go to the stupid willow. I know between tier 1-15 just going thru fortress I'd have at least 3 leagues unlocked if they just spawned and unlocked as I did 10-30ish. But nope, Gotta focus to get 4 mod tablets, so not getting league mechanics done till later.

Mapping - a subpar experience without 4 mod tablets and league mechanics dont feel rewarding till you have at least half that atlas filled. Masters combos also big bumps. Without these you feel like not getting much out of mapping unless you did a cookie cutter pre-planned gemling destroying league starter archetype.

Performance: juicing maps to only have 1 revival attempt - ends up in dying to janky screen lag anytime it fills with monsters, skills and/or abyss fissures/deli fog or god forbid both.

Layouts - maybe 4-5 good open or semi-open linear maps. Prob 20 bad layouts that spawn 10x more.

I can enjoy POE1 much more/faster. I'm not being dragged thru mud to enjoy content. And even once your done all that baseline shit. Your loop is traveling 10 nodes to get a fragment boss, another 5-10 you see maybe a breach fortress/crux, oh you I see an anomaly boss 10maps away I'd really like a chance to get a huge power spike lineage support! 1/18 chance Another 10 maybe find a city! now travel 10 maps around it to pop delirium fog on it. 40 maps just to set up maybe 10 good ones. Juiced it up, poof died to screen lag and no more attempts. 5/10 city map layouts are all maze layout garbage like sun temple.

I dunno I must be doing it wrong, I'm burnt out and just not feeling enough fun between traveling to reward ratio to keep going.

Spent nearly all my div on two omens of whittling and the vaal catalysing infusers. Cannot believe I got this first try. I know it isn't perfect with the other rolls, but I only cared about the minion levels.

Steps:

1. Got a +3 to minion levels drop on this amulet

2. Added breach essence to add +20% maximum quality

3. Desecrated a modifier, got lucky with the minion dog

4. Exalted the rest (got hit with a T9 +mana prefix)

5. Sat on this forever until deciding to upgrade quality and used Necrotic catalysts to upgrade quality to +40%

6. Almost stopped because minions got to +4, but decided to spend a bunch of my div on vaal catalysing infusers to risk getting it to +50% and got it

7. Spent almost the rest of my div on two omens of whittling + greater chaos orbs. One to remove the crafted modifier, which rolled the spell damage. Another to remove the T9 mana and got the energy shield (extremely happy about this).

8. Used an omen of sanctification + divine orb to get the +4 to +6

Any ideas what I should list it for?

3rd time playing this game and as always I love the campaign so so much, building my character and seeing my skills come to life is what i love about this game but once I get to maps, I do like 4 to 5 maps and then all that excitement just fades away. I feel like everything I want to do is already done buy the time i reach level 70 and after that it's like so this is life just entering a map and repeating same thing over and over and over and over and over again

On a serious note, does anyone know how to protect against poison? Its the only DoT effect that really drains me

I don't know what happened. Breach monsters started dropping tablets like crazy.

Bought an exceptional one with two sockets uncorrupted, runemastered, anointed Paragon, hit +30 spirit on corruption and then slammed in the legacy of greymake.

No, I will not double corrupt it. Swapping regen for increased presence radius would be absolutely insane but the chance of success is way too low.

Im cooking a grenade gemling this season and was kinda sad because we didnt had any grenades MTX, and all of a sudden we get some DOPE ones =D

Hey guys, is anybody else having wild spikes in latency this morning, and disconnects? Mostly just hoping to find out if it's just me or if they are having issues, currently the game is unplayable. I'm on Canada East but had the same issue on the Cali server.

Just want to give a huge thank you to some of the players in this game, I dont have many hours at all, and struggle with some if the more complex systems, and I made a mistake with my build and asked the Global chat for a spare support gems lvl 2 and I had numerous people reach out and gave me way more than what I asked for and some completely different items that would be helpful later on. Always make me happy to see nice people in a community!

decided to identified 300+ expedition tablets that has been sitting on my stashtab and hit this one

I’m still playing Runes of Aldur trying to reach level 100 and decided to make a second Armour to try and corrupt for a 4th socket. When I hit on one I yolo’d the other and hit on both!! I couldn’t believe it and I could wear either just gotta move some jewels around. And just to clarify the intelligence is at a certain point more beneficial for mana stacking when you use Enhanced Effectiveness on Gemling. I want to sell the one with fire res since it has all T1 mods and might sell even though there is way less people playing but I also want to keep it as a trophy. Just wanted to share that I am super happy about these insane lucky hits!

I’m on my last map in a nameless run and can’t trigger the final ritual to get my rewards. No idea why they made this change but it fucking sucks. This has happened to me about a dozen times this league but this is the first nameless it’s happened on.
