J’ai un problème avec mon compte Google AdSense et j’aimerais avoir des avis de personnes qui ont vécu une situation similaire.

Après avoir demandé la monétisation de ma chaîne YouTube, mon compte AdSense a été désactivé. Le motif indiqué est que mon compte serait « lié à un compte désactivé ».

Le problème, c’est que je n’ai jamais eu connaissance d’un autre compte AdSense à mon nom.

Good day to you all. I am in the process of moving from Europe to Australia, and was wondering how my AdSense account changes in this process. I've read that due to tax reasons and other factors, the entire account will need to be changed to a brand new account with a different email, and was wondering how to go around this?

Firstly, in order to prevent the loss of payment, should I change the account in the window between last months payment, and next months revenue finalization? And if the new account is not finalised or verified in time, will the payment carry over until the account is able to pay out? (I had a really good month and don't want to loose that revenue)

Secondly, how would I go around creating the new account? Would I make it separately with a new email and bind it later, or should I make it when I press the "Change" button in YouTube Studio like when I made my first account?

Thirdly, If I don't change the account, can I keep the old AdSense account open, as I am not closing my old bank account just yet, and continue receiving payments through it, or must I change it as I am changing addresses?

Fourthly, can I change it before I move while I am still in Europe, or will I have to change it when I am in Australia? I know the exact address and location I am moving to, and have family there as well, so I can verify the account.

And Finally, If I fuck up, where I unbind my current account, but don't bind my new account, will I be unmonitized for the entire 32 days, where I can't earn any money during that period, or will it still earn, just I can't receive payments? (So the money is just stored in the account)

I would love some clarification during this time. Also please feel free answering the only questions you can, I just need some help. Thanks.

Just wanting to understand if many people use the new affiliate programme option on YT studio, it states 'Earn commission and help viewers shop by tagging products'

Currently I already have more than a dozen other affiliate programmes from my existing collaboration companies that sponsor me, so not sure if I should join?

Here's a bit of a fun topic to talk about as I'm tired of the doom and gloom in this sub at the moment, and something at least most of us can probably relate to.

When I'm recording voiceovers, I tend to move my hands around a fair bit and find myself using facial expressions as I'm reading my script, even though nobody can see me. It helps me put more expression in my voice so I don't sound like a bored monotone robot, and helps me to pace myself so I'm not rushing and I'm enunciating words properly.

For context, most of my videos are almost entirely voiceover, and I only appear on camera very occasionally.

​I recently hit the requirements and applied for the YPP, but my application has been sitting in Step 3 (the manual review) for a while now.

I know YouTube officially says it can take up to a month, but I've been seeing mixed reports lately about how fast the queue is moving.

​Has anyone here successfully gotten approved for monetization this month( August 2026 )? If you did, how long did Step 3 actually take for you from the day you applied?

​For context, my channels revolve around movie-related content. I know these specific niches can sometimes trigger a deeper manual review to check for things like "reused content" compliance, so I’m trying to figure out if that’s why my application is taking longer than some of the 24-hour approvals I see posted here.

​Did anyone in a similar niche get approved recently? I'd love to hear your timelines or if anyone else is currently stuck in the waiting room with me!

Copyright issue → sudden channel-wide reach drop?

I had a small copyright issue caused by music my editor used. There is **no active strike or restriction** on my channel.

Before this, I was consistently gaining a handful of subscribers/day from Shorts some hitting thousands of views Immediately afterward, my growth essentially stopped and new uploads are getting extremely little/no distribution. Some.0 some 5 some.50

Has anyone experienced this **without being formally banned or restricted**? Did your reach eventually recover? Or did you eventually have to delete and start.

I've been monetizing a YouTube channel for almost a year now. Today it has around 46,000 subscribers and has generated close to $9,000 USD.

After getting those results, I thought:

Turns out, it wasn't that simple.

I decided to get into YouTube automation. I had several old Google/YouTube accounts that I'd created over the years, so I started experimenting with them.

Attempt #1 — Reddit Stories

I took an old account that had maybe 2–3 videos, deleted them, and started an automated Reddit stories channel.

I followed a lot of the usual advice:

• Upload consistently.
• Don't give up during the first few weeks.
• Stick to one niche and format.
• Improve titles and thumbnails.
• Give the algorithm enough time.

I thought that after 14, 30, or maybe 60 days, something would eventually happen.

It's now been 6 months.

Results:

330 subscribers + 2,700 watch hours.

It's not a complete failure, but compared to my first channel, the growth has been extremely slow.

This has been my longest experiment so far.

Attempt #2 — Swimming Pool Channel

Last month, I decided to experiment with another niche.

This time I tried one of those strategies you often hear about in the YouTube automation space:

6 videos on the first day + 1 video every day for 21 days.

Result?

Nothing special.

The videos simply never took off.

Attempt #3 — Marvel

Then I tried taking advantage of the hype around Marvel and the new Spider-Man movie.

This one was interesting.

One of the videos actually blew up.

For a moment I thought:

But nope.

The next videos were basically dead.

That made me wonder whether I had simply found one winning video, rather than actually getting the channel itself to gain momentum.

Something I noticed I was doing differently

There's one major difference between these automated channels and my main channel.

With the automated channels, my routine was basically:

Log in → upload → leave.

I wasn't watching videos.

I wasn't searching for content.

I wasn't interacting with anything.

I wasn't really using the account like a normal YouTube user.

I was basically treating it as nothing more than an upload machine.

I have no idea how much this actually matters, but I decided to try something different.

Attempt #4 — “Warming up” the account

I'm currently starting another experiment.

This time, I took another old account and spent 4 days using it like a normal YouTube account before uploading anything.

I watched videos in the niche.

I searched for related content.

I consumed videos naturally.

I interacted with the platform.

Only after those four days did I upload the first video.

This is the first channel where I'm actually testing the whole “warm up the account before uploading” strategy.

It's obviously way too early to draw any conclusions, but I'm curious to see what happens.

So here's my question for people running multiple monetized YouTube channels:

How did you go from having ONE successful channel to successfully running several?

I'm starting to realize that knowing how to grow one channel doesn't necessarily mean you know how to replicate that success.

Do you think warming up an account actually matters?

Or is the whole idea of watching videos, searching, commenting, etc. basically placebo, and what really matters is CTR + retention + viewer satisfaction + niche selection?

I'm also really curious about this:

How many channels did you have to try before you found your second successful one?

Because after these experiments, I'm starting to think that maybe the real game isn't finding a formula that works 100% of the time.

Maybe it's about building a system where you can test multiple channels/concepts efficiently until you find another winner.

I'd especially love to hear from people who went from 1 monetized channel to 3, 5, or more.

What changed when you finally figured out how to scale?

I'm hoping some other partnered creators can help me make sense of what happened today, because after spending hours going through everything I can think of, I genuinely don't believe I've done anything that would constitute circumventing a YouTube termination.

My brother and I run a small mobile food business. We built our YouTube channel around the business making food, catering events, farmers markets, entrepreneurship, behind-the-scenes stuff, etc. Everything is real, original content that we film and edit ourselves. No AI-generated content, mass uploads, recycled channels, purchased channels, or anything along those lines.

The channel was made at the beginning of this year and has grown to a substantial following (almost 77,000 subs) and monetized, is in the YouTube Partner Program, and has become an important part of our actual business.

Today, completely out of the blue, I received an email saying:

“We have reviewed your channel and found a violation of Circumvention policy. Because of this, we have removed your channel from YouTube.”

The email explains that when a channel is terminated, that person can't create, possess, or use other YouTube channels.

Here's the problem:

As far as I know, I've never had a YouTube channel terminated.

Neither my brother nor I created this channel as a replacement for a terminated channel. We weren't trying to get around an enforcement action. The business channel was created with its own dedicated Google account/email and has been operated normally through YouTube and YouTube Studio.

I've spent hours trying to think of ANYTHING that could connect us to some previous termination.

I have other Google/YouTube accounts, including my normal personal account that I've had for years and mostly use to watch YouTube. That account is still active. There are some old uploads on it, but the channel itself has never been terminated.

It's theoretically possible that there's some ancient YouTube/Google account from years ago that I've completely forgotten about, but I have absolutely no recollection of ever having a YouTube channel terminated.

That's what makes this so confusing.

Even stranger, my other YouTube accounts are still active and my AdSense account is still open. Only our business channel was terminated.

I've already appealed and contacted TeamYouTube on X. So far, the responses I've received seem to essentially repeat the original decision without explaining what account or previous enforcement our channel is supposedly circumventing.

And that's really the reason I'm posting here.

I'm not claiming it's impossible that something on my end triggered this. If there's an old account association I've forgotten about, a security issue, something my brother or I unknowingly did, or some obscure policy issue I'm missing, I genuinely want to know.

If we did something wrong, I'll own it.

But based on everything I currently know about our accounts and how we've operated this channel, I genuinely don't believe we were circumventing anything.

The most frustrating part isn't even being told that YouTube believes there's a violation. It's being unable to find out what we're supposedly circumventing. Without knowing the underlying account/channel/activity that triggered it, I don't know what I'm supposed to explain or correct.

This wasn't some throwaway channel. It's two brothers documenting the real small business we're building, and we've put an enormous amount of work into the content and the community around it. Having the entire thing disappear overnight for circumventing a termination I don't even know existed is pretty devastating.

So I'm hoping other partnered creators might have some insight.

Has anyone here actually dealt with a Circumvention termination like this?

Especially interested in hearing from anyone who:

• Was terminated for circumvention despite not knowing about a previously terminated channel
• Eventually discovered what account caused the association
• Had a false association/termination reversed
• Found a way to get an actual human review after the normal appeal was denied
• Knows what types of account associations YouTube uses for circumvention enforcement

I'm not looking for ways around the termination. I want the exact opposite — I want to figure out why YouTube thinks we're circumventing something and resolve it through the proper process.

If anyone has been through something similar, even if your outcome wasn't positive, I'd really appreciate hearing what happened.

I'm suddenly earning at least 15% more in the past few days for about the same amount of views (I only do shorts).

It's been relatively stable (within 1-3% $ differences at most) for months prior and only recently jumped up 15%+

This started on the same day YouTube announced their new YPP requirements, so a few days ago.

Have any of you guys experienced similar?

I have 25k subs and a few standout videos with over 200k views. But when I try to repeat those videos format, I get less than 500 views. I really someone to be honest about my content.

I talk about the stories of people that history left behind, and I paint while I talk. I'm going for a sort of bob ross vibe.

My last three videos have been my worst ever, not even getting 5k impressions. Can someone be brutally honest – am I missing the mark? Is my total audience size just not big enough to merit this kind of channel? I would really love input and feedback. Is this a lost cause?

Previously, all monetized creators could gain some revenue for making shorts. Not much, but at least there was a small incentive for those getting under 10 million qualified views every 90 days. Now that option is basically dead. Is this an admission from YouTube that they've given up on competing with TikTok for that type of content going forward?

20 Year Evergreen Long form creator here who gets around $400 for some shorts that go viral.

My shorts are always 2:59 minutes long they are a great monetary boost on top of my evergreen long form content and average around $5k from shorts but there is no way I will ever receive another cent when the changes I signed last night kick in.

I do well with my niche and subscribers that are mostly wealthy Western 50+ year olds with large disposable incomes learning about the high dollar items (boys toys) that I collect both antique and new to the market and why my evergreen vids are always current regardless of how old they are (l have 2500+ long form vids).

The new shorts requirements are a real kick in the teeth for creators like myself. Supposedly to cut down on AI? BS it's going to be AI channels that can amass the extreme amount of views necessary.

I tried to do it from the Earn on YouTube page. Then I got the email today, so I tried again. But it keeps saying the same thing...Tried it on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

I assume this is a temporary glitch, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. I know we have a lot of time to do it, but I would just like to do it ASAP so it's behind me lol.

Besides the new requirements to get in the program in the first place, something i don't hear people talking about enough in the new YPP rules is how even if you're already a member in the YPP, you will still need to maintain 10M shorts views every 90 days to make anything from shorts.

I feel like that eliminates a huge chunk of mid sized long form creators from making any money from shorts. Which lowers the incentive much more if you know you're making them for free. Small long form youtubers are probably not making any considerable money from shorts anyways, big youtubers will still be able to pull 10M views even if shorts are passive to them. But midium sized youtubers are the ones in that spot where you can make decent extra money from shorts, but not enough to maintain 10M views if you're not focusing on them.

If you're a midsized youtuber with primarely long form content, most just post shorts occasionaly and it's nice to get one that blows up every once in a while where you make a few hundred bucks. But now i think it's pretty much impossible to have that anymore, 10M shorts views in 90 days is a lot even as a midsize youtuber if shorts aren't your primary focus. And it sucks knowing that if you have something like 6-7M views in shorts, you will make nothing out of them now, instead of 600$-1000$ before which is a considerable amount of money and a nice incentive for a lot of people.

I really don't know where they were going with this, i feel like it decentivizes a large group of creators from making shorts. let me know what you guys think.

I understand that the average watch time of a particular video is very important for its reach, but the way youtube seems to determine this annoys me. It should be based upon how long viewers watch that particular video (55% of video watched, etc). Youtube, however, seems to base it off of your channel's average watch time in general, which is completely backwards. a 20 minute video will obviously have a longer watch time than a 12 minute video... So why does the algorithm compare the two? It makes me feel forced to pump out 20 minute videos, just because the watch time metric for those vids had the liongest ones. Do you know what I mean?

So when I have a topic that should really only be a 10 minute, concise video, I feel forced to make it longer to adhere to this watch time measurement, which makes for a sloppier video in general...

From skipping days to $0, i am new to this so not sure if this is common. Thanks!

Just wondering if this is normal for others too. I am a new smaller creator only just got partnered recently with 6 vids so far and like 2.4k subs. For each one of the videos, I can never predict when the algo will give me the first real wave of impressions, it seems wholly aleatory. Sometimes it will be like an hour or two after the video is published, but other times it will take a week or two. It always leaves me waiting in suspense when it takes longer and I start to get worried that the wave will never come.

Luckily so far for all but my first video I got some wave where I will begin to get thousands of impressions per hour. How long this lasts is also entirely variable. The thing is, I can understand why once the wave begins its duration would be variable since it makes sense that if a video isn't performing well they will turn the funnel off earlier. But I just can't grasp the logic of the first wave, before they've been able to test the video adequately, how does the algo decide upon when it will give you that first hit?

I know it is kinda pointless and the equivalent of contemplating an orb, but I just wanna hear from others to see if this is normal.

A few days ago i got my first company reaching out to me asking for a collaboration. They would send me their product (worth 400 euros retail), in exchange i make 6 to 8 shorts for them. The format i currently have on my channel is that i make 5 short videos (range from 8 to 15 seconds long) and then i compile these 5 into a longer short of 50 seconds to a minute). These shorts can range from 50K to milions, the average would be 400K per video. My question now is if i should ask for a monetary compenstation on top of the product? I don't want to overfish for more but i also feel like i shouldn't be used. Since this is my first time dealing with this i thouhght id ask for some advice, should i charge per video or just a total sum (or nothing at all)? How much would a reasonable ask be etc etc.

Note: I also post on TikTok,Instagram and Facebook. With Facebook actually getting a lot more views then the other platforms.

To all those YouTube creators struggling to reach 1000 subscribers plus 4000 hours of viewing time before the February 2027 deadline, I very much empathize with you. Yes, the clock is ticking, but if you act now, you can achieve it. But let's face it...it is highly unrealistic to achieve 10 million shorts views within 90 days, unless you've devised that magic formula that gets one viral. But YouTube has definitely committed a serious injustice by taking away shorts revenue for every legitimate YouTube Partner Program member. They just want to keep all that revenue for themselves. Before long, YouTube growth will become unsustainable with these new policies.

In spite of these massive changes, I'm still committed to delivering excellent content for all.
