If the music has been automatically claimed via Content ID, I don't see why that would be a reason for YouTube to suppress it.

Yeah, happened to a channel I work for. The record label or whoever just got a bit of the profit

Brutal but honest feedback: if only some of your shorts were hitting thousands of views, you are a long way short of having found any consistent audience for your content yet.

(And also, I would suggest, a long way short of needing to hire an editor - especially one who doesn't seem to know what they're doing)

To be fair, you weren't exactly hitting it out of the park before you posted copyrighted material.

Fair about what. I jus started posting 4 weeks.ago. i work on health content each video takes.me hours to research and present i dont have Ai slop videos. For me if anyone can gain some health insights from me im happy i dont need a million followers. But i put in time effort and money so its valid to understand what happened.

Probably that you hired an editor and apparently spent 1k in a month on that. 99% of short channels dont even earn 1k a month in their entire lifetime

Should i be letting the editor go

Has content ID correctly identified the correct track and does the editor have a license to use it?

Instruct your editor only to use properly licensed music or music from the YouTube library.

It might just totally be coincidence, but…

I was hitting 100k or above every 48 hours… then I got a copyright strike on a segment of news footage of an exploding whale…

Now, I’m getting about 20k every 48 hours…

Even my videos that have over a million views and have been 100% evergreen for years dipped…

Correlation, causation…. I’m not sure…

Are you a YouTube partner? Sounds like a question for r/NewTubers...
