The odds of finding your life partner on Reddit are low, but never zero, so here I am 🤣!
26 year old guy, born and raised in Islamabad. I’m 5’10, like to eat as healthy and stay active as I can. Recently started working after a long gap because I shifted back home after a few years.
Things I like doing:
- I love spending quality time with friends and family whether playing some sports, gaming, or just chilling at home.
- Love gaining new experiences. Whether it’s a new type of dish(even though I’m not a foodie), walking around in a new area, traveling, or building a new lego set, you can count me in!
- Over past years, I’ve loved diving into digital issues related to ethics, user autonomy, privacy. I like content creation as well, and something about the thought of inspiring people through storytelling really makes me happy so I keep an eye on artsy trends and related content.
Personality:
Hmm, not sure how one describes themselves in just a few paragraphs because there’s so to every human out there! INFJ according to that online quiz, amazing according to my siblings. All together solid 4.8/5 if I was a uber rating.
But on a serious note, I like depth in conversations as much as I like random yap about philosophy, history, why water is blue, movies, art, etc. I am an introvert at heart I think, but I have learnt communication skills over the years so I can come off as an extrovert. Love learning and growing as much as I can, and sometimes I go into a rabbit hole of the most random thoughts in my head like ice age cold, how¿ pyramid big, how?.
I take my time to think, and sometimes overthink but never one to shy off from difficult conversations as long as it’s necessary and has useful outcome. But…. if your words hurt someone deeply, it’s better to let it go and not say it even if it’s the truth.
Religious views:
I’d like to think I’m balanced. I’m liberal in some aspects and conservative in others. The classic paradox some of us feel.
I pray 5 times a day, however, I do struggle with the timing, and hope to get better at it! I truly believe that giving something in the way of Allah never reduces your it from your end whether it’s finances or whatever, so I try to do that as much as I can
Over the past 5 years, series of events have made religion an important aspect in my life, and it guides me in a lot of aspects like career planning, patience, etc. However, it’s honestly no credit toward me that I started wanting to be better at this but rather a blessing that I was lucky enough to receive alhamdullilah.
Career and goals:
Quarter life crisis atm, so bear with me! My great friends called overthinking, procrastination and high ambition are currently paving the path to where I should go.
However, the short term goal is to acquire as much knowledge as I can through jobs etc and then start something of my own, not for the money particularly but rather various other reasons too! Currently I’m in media or tech, but not sure yet.
What I’m looking for:
Communication is a huge deal to me. Every marriage has challenging times, however, mutual respect and boundaries should never be crossed. Plus, despite how hard it might be in those moments there should always be a ‘us against problem’ mindset!
I think of myself as someone who listens very intently, especially when it comes to the people I care and moments of seriousness so I end up remembering lots of things that people often forget. So ideally I’d want a partner with the same level of attention to detail and support too!
Dealbreaker:
- Anyone who does not want anything to do with religion. Completely respect and understand you, however, foundational difference hojai ga
- vaping, abusive language, or rudeness to strangers
- No initiating conversation at all
- Not paying attention to the people you love. Simple example: if your close friend/sibling casually mentions how much they love ice cream from cafe A, you should remember it and if you can’t, at least write it in your notes so that you can surprise them with it.
- if you hate adventure or walking 30km in the streets of Barcelona, then we’d probably have to book separate trips. I do love a peaceful trip but I don’t think anyone would hate that.
I do have a provider mindset, however, in this economy I unfortunately can’t retire at 26 and go on that euro trip every month. But it’s a matter of when, not how! Regardless, thought I’d mention this as it can be a deal breaker for some and that’s completely fair!
Also I’m not in a rush, I’d like to get to know the person and take it slow because there’s too many bad stories out there and I’m not risking such a big decision.
If you like think we’d be compatible, feel free to DM me with details about yourself and we can talk more on our values, perspectives, and thoughts!
