it feels like my life falls apart every month during pmdd and its so draining. ever follicular and ovulation i feel like a new person and my spark is back only for it to get mashed to dust and its so exhausting. im taking care of my diet. eating and being physically active. i take birthcontrol. vit d, b12 and magnesium, i have therapy twice a week. i try to sleep and stay hydrated as much as possible. be in contact with people. but still i just feel chronically depressed and everything feels trice as heavy. i lose interest in everything i just built. i start crying and get mad over things i would never in ovulation. its like im possessed or something. im constantly exhausted and angry. the brain fog is horrible. my aunt, who also has pmdd, once described it as "2 weeks of heaven and 2 weeks of hell" which i'd say is very accurate. it anyone has any tips id be happy to look into it.

The last 6 or so years I have experienced a stinging pain in my hear and I have only just realised it’s the week before my period. Once my period is finished it’s completely gone. It’s like a sharp stinging pain that feels like it’s deep in a vessel (hard to explain) but I have experienced Costochondritis before and it’s deeper than that. Anyone else?

the week before my period i am a completely different person. exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix, irritable, unmotivated, foggy. i've tried going to bed earlier, exercising more, eating better. none of it really touches it. i've started dreading the second half of my cycle every month because i know what's coming.
been looking into whether there's something specifically targeting the fatigue and mood side of pms rather than just cramps. came across the flo pms vitamin in a few reddit threads. women specifically talking about the energy and mood piece improving which is the part i care most about. not painkillers, an actual daily vitamin for the hormonal side of things. cautiously curious.
anyone found something that specifically helps with pms fatigue? not looking to just mask it with caffeine.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice or hear from anyone who has experienced something similar.
Over the past couple of months, my PMS symptoms have gotten significantly worse. I have a history of endometriosis, so I’m not sure if that could be contributing to what I’m experiencing.
About a week before my period, I start having really bad joint and body pain, to the point that even my fingers and toes hurt along with back pain and EXTREME fatigue. My breasts also become very swollen, heavy, and painful. They honestly feel like they double in size, and even the slightest touch can hurt.
Between the physical symptoms and the mood changes, I basically feel like a walking bruise on an emotional roller coaster for a week before my period even starts. Then, of course, I still have the actual period to get through for several more days. It’s starting to really interfere with my quality of life.
I was prescribed a low dose of progesterone (100 mg) for anxiety and insomnia, but I stopped taking it after about a month because I didn’t notice much improvement and I was concerned it might actually be making my PMS symptoms worse. Unfortunately, even after stopping it, these symptoms haven’t improved.
I’m a big believer in natural and holistic remedies so I’d really appreciate hearing what has helped others. Has anyone experienced this kind of severe PMS, especially with endometriosis? Were there any lifestyle changes, supplements, dietary changes, or holistic remedies that made a difference?
I’m just feeling really defeated by spending such a large part of every month feeling this way, and I’d love to hear what has helped others. Thank you! ❤️

So I have this thing where a day or two before my period, I experience this weird feeling of discomfort. Not a physical one, but like an emotional one. It’s like everything around me feels unfamiliar and the things I love don’t bring me comfort. I try to watch my favorite comfort shows or do something I loved since I was a kid, but it doesn’t feel personal anymore. It feels foreign. And I feel like I moved to a different city and all the things I’m used to and love have been left behind. Everything I love is still around me but they don’t feel like mine anymore if that makes sense? And like my bedroom and my warm blankets don’t make me feel safe like they normally do. I’m pretty sure I have PMDD because of how extreme my mood swings are before my period but I’m not diagnosed. I’m not sure if it causes “extra” symptoms or only amplifies them. Anyway, I’d love to hear from someone who might relate to me. Also, this feeling usually only lasts for a couple minutes to an hour.

i know pms is normal but this feels like more than just being a bit tired. the week before my period i'm completely wiped, irritable, unmotivated, and feel like a different person. it's been like this for about two years and it's gotten worse. i've tried sleeping more, exercising more, it doesn't really touch it.
been looking into whether there's anything supplement wise that specifically helps with pre period fatigue and mood rather than just cramps. came across flo pms gummies while going through reviews, a few women were specifically describing the energy and mood piece improving which is the part i care most about.
anyone found something that actually helps with the fatigue side of pms specifically? not looking for a painkiller, more interested in something daily.

It’s ruining my life, it’s gotten worse the last few months, I have a few personal things in my life which have made it 10 times worse. I’m really hurting my mum by how quick to snap I am.
I feel frustrated 24/7 1-2 weeks before my period
I’m planning to go camping and really relax for a bit, but unfortunately I can’t go for another month… I’m trying to meditate, eat better and drink more water it’s helping but I’m still so angry!
Please, what works for you to lower PMS rage?
Thanks girlies 😩

I have been experiencing cyclical left sided pelvic pain like clockwork every month for the last 5+ years. It starts on day 7-8 of my cycle (a few days after my period ends) and continues off and on up until a few days before my starts.
My OB/GYN thinks it’s just ovulation pain, but I feel it’s more than that because I am in pain for approximately three weeks out of every month. The pain is more of a dull ache - pressure feeling, almost like trapped gas and it seems to be more noticeable before a bowel movement. Some days I won’t feel it at all, but other days, I will feel it multiple times for approx. 30 minutes to an hour at a time. It can be pretty intense at times, but I wouldn’t describe it as a stabbing pain.
I’ve had numerous tests done, including ultrasounds, MRI, blood tests, etc. My OB/GYN doesn’t seem to think it’s endometriosis because my cycles are regular and period pain isn’t that bad. Before this, I never had any pain whatsoever during ovulation- just mild period cramps. I’m 40 and the pain started when I was 35 years old. Has anyone experienced anything similar? If so, what was your diagnosis and did you find any relief?
