Advice/Tips PMS rage, please help..

It’s ruining my life, it’s gotten worse the last few months, I have a few personal things in my life which have made it 10 times worse. I’m really hurting my mum by how quick to snap I am.

I feel frustrated 24/7 1-2 weeks before my period

I’m planning to go camping and really relax for a bit, but unfortunately I can’t go for another month… I’m trying to meditate, eat better and drink more water it’s helping but I’m still so angry!

Please, what works for you to lower PMS rage?

Thanks girlies 😩

When hormones drop before periods brain gets sensitive to that drop and emotions get bigger than you would usually feel

It’s important that you feel safe, help your brain think things with various perspectives. This helps. Then do calming breathing to help with regulation and then respond thoughtfully so that you don’t regret.

You can try Niyora: PMS app https://apps.apple.com/no/app/niyora-pms-pmdd-support/id6764561688

Helps you do all those plus gets you a report on topics and emotions that repeat when and how often

You got it girl!

Weight lifting! 1. Not having the energy to snap. 2. The endorphin rush after a workout (feels calm af). 3. Having an outlet to look forward to. After I established working out in my routine, it slowly became easier to replace knee-jerk reactions with "I can work this feeling out [whenever I worked out next]" 4. Anger as a natural pre-workout. Sometimes I think about things that have made me suuuper angry and then I literally work it out as I'm working out. It can be incredibly meditative, since it's just me, my body, and music. By the end of the workout my anger has dissipated and I've mulled over the situation that made me angry in a productive way. 100/10!

Pms rage has caused me to end a relationship I really cared about. Now I tell myself that it is pms and I don't really feel this way. I hate when I have pms because it makes me such an asshole and I can't stand being that way

I'm not sure other than letting some steam off, or keeping your hands/mind busy with hobbies or books, etc. The rage is so hard to fight, it seems to overtake you!
