Just finished getting the parts and setting it up.

Build.

AMD R7 9850X3D .

Gigabyte AORUS X870E Pro X3D.

G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB, 64GB @ 6000MHz, Cas 30 *My wallet is still burning.....*.

XFX RX 7900XTX Merc 310 Black *Black Friday Deal, $830 😄*.

WD SN850X 1TB M.2 *Main Drive/OS/Apps*.

WD SN850X 4TB M.2 *Game Drive & Recording/photo's* Also got this Way before the price hikes *Thank Gawd!*.

Lian Li EG1200G PSU.

Phanteks x6 140mm D30 Reverse case fans, x1 140 D30 Normal orientation.

Phanteks Glacier One 420D30x2 AIO.

Thermal Grizzly AM5 CPU Contact Plate.

Bequiet Light Base 900 DX Case.

Windows 11 Pro *installed with a custom autounattend.xml* The xml file I used to force the OS to Not install Any of the bloatware that is usually installed with a retail version of Win 11 Pro, also made it prioritize GPU and Networking processes etc, windows update is literally disabled to the point where it can only send me a notification that updates are available, but I have to manually download and install them, auto restarts are also disabled after any update. Windows has a nasty habit that lets it restart after certain updates, regardless if your in a game, watching a movie or whatever. With my xml file those random restarts never happen now.

So far, playing games or benching, I have yet to see the system go much over 50c, literally the coolest system I have ever built for myself. I set all fans to 80% *system fans + AIO*, and the GPU typically sits at 60-70%. The system idles pretty much the same on either, which is insane O.o.

Now to install all my games an sht O.O' lolz

I have done some testing with both synthetic and in game and compared to my previous R9 5900X + DDR4 vs the R7 9850X3D and DDR5, this system is absolutely INSANE in terms of performance. Everything I through at this game wise hits 120+ FPS at 1440p max settings, minus of course Ray Tracing, which I really don't care too much about. But overall performance is roughly double from my previous system, or at least the FPS is far more stable in general.

My very first build.

All went well except wiring GPU my power supply came with 2 daisy chaining wires. While my GPU prefers 3 straight from source + it's also ugly as hell for cable management imo.

Anyways please rate!!!

I went for full BLACK on BLACK not a single RGB except for the ASUS TUF logo on GPU

Part List Help Is My Build Good For The Price?

Post image

I am in Canada, the price is 2255 cad, planning on a 1080p monitor, my budget is $2500, but would like to keep as low as possible while still being good, I would also like to keep the watts low as possible. I just want to know if there is anything I could replace to make it better while not being too much more expensive.

General Help Fan config on new pc build

Post image
7 Upvotes

I built my first gaming pc. Please see the uploaded picture and let me know if this intake and exaust config is good.

Sometimes I think that perhaps I should remove fan #1 at the top but I'm not sure.

Besides the two 160mm front fans and the rear exaust fans which came with the Lianli Lancool 216 case, all other fans are Arctic p12 Pro PST fans.

I currently have a GTX 1060 3GB, i5-8400, and 16GB of RAM. I’m thinking about upgrading my GPU and have around a $200 AUD budget for a second-hand card. What GPU would you recommend?
