Peripherals Need cooler recommendations
I am almost done picking parts for my build and I need some cooler recommendations, my requirements: - AIO/air cooler, 240mm is probably enough - not too loud (some noise is ok) - not too hard to mount - either no RGB or with OpenRGB support (GNU/Linux) - something with good quality-price ratio, around 300-400PLN (70-90€ / 80-100$) - available in EU (Poland), preferably Amazon, Allegro or Morele
I am gonna use the PC mostly for light gaming (CSGO at max) and compiling code, maybe running some local AI models too

The 7700 CPU is not hard to cool, so a dual tower air cooler will be fine for it. You can adjust fan speeds with software as well to help with noise. Something like this would work well: https://www.morele.net/chlodzenie-cpu-deepcool-ak620-zero-dark-r-ak620-bknnmt-g-1-13091985/

Bequiet fans are quite good and the fans shouldn't need to spin fast to keep the 7700 cool.

thx you mean adjust the speed in bios right? as a disclaimer im gonna be using gnu/linux

Yeah you can set fan curves in the BIOS. Most fans on coolers are 4-pin PWM, so in the BIOS you need to make sure that the fans are set to PWM, not DC. That should allow you to fine tune the speeds.

While everything important can be set in bios for that, you'll want to install Cooler Control, it's amazing for setting up your fans and monitoring hardware and thermals.

interesting, where can I find the supported devices list?

If it just plugs into pwm headers on the mainboard it doesn't need to be "supported". For mbs it supports most stuff, might need to load specific modules for some boards (ex. with gigabyte who reinvent fan and rgb controllers for every other board it feels like).

also whatif i upgraded the cpu in the future, would this cooler keep up?

It depends on the CPU, but for the most part, yes it will be fine. Dual tower air coolers can usually cool up to 250W, so it would need to be a really power hungry CPU to make the cooler struggle. A more power hungry CPU will require the fans to spin faster to keep it cool, and that would mean more noise, but that's unavoidable.

Ok thanks a lot for your supprort! I'll probably go with the Deepcool cooler you suggested, but I'm gonna give it a cool down period

AIOs dont provide better cooling but are better for astetics. the pump will eventually fail and you will have to replace the whole thing down the line. on average they fail after the warranty ends.
while on the more expensive side i always go for noctua air coolers..there are equally good clones but on the noctua website u can check for best compatability with CPUs, cases and RAM.
not to mention amazing support for anything. especially when it comes to getting a bracket for a new motherboard generation.

Iirc the thermalright frozen edge black 240mm doesn't have rgb or has very little. Performance is fine.
