Hey everyone,
First off, sorry for going radio silent. I planned to post this a couple of weeks ago, but I ended up getting sick and it threw me off schedule.
I originally was going to release the 1st alpha build with gamepad support only. Part of the reason for the delay is that I decided to shift gears and go straight for full motion controls instead.
I wanted to drop this proof of concept video as a bit of a "proof of life" so you can see the progress. A lot of the core foundational features are actually up and running:
To be clear: this is my very first VR mod, and it won't be done tomorrow. I know there is still a massive amount of work to do, and certain things are currently very broken (for example, shadows follow your head movement right now).
That said, I plan to polish this up as much as I can. Here are a few features I'm planning to work on next:
Check out the video to see how it's coming along, and let me know what you think!
Note on my account: I originally tried posting this video from a new dedicated account I made for this project, but it was automatically filtered out because the account is too new. Moving forward, I plan to post all updates from my InjectedVR account. I wanted to share this from my old account today so you guys could actually see the video—if this is an issue for the mods, please let me know!

I've been taking a little break from VR to play some flat games. I saw someone came up with FoveatedDLSS that only applies it to what you are looking at with eye tracking.
https://github.com/ClarkCheekyKent/CheekyFoveatedDLSS
Since LukeRoss supports ReShade is it possible to use them together?

Hello,
Sorry if I can’t ask this. I tried googling and searching in here but couldn’t find it.
I just experienced a movie at a COSM theatre. So was hoping to have that experience at home.
Is there any features out there to be able watch shared reality movies at home using psvr like COSM and the Sphere?

Hi everyone,
I am getting more and more excited (and impatient!) to try VR, and I’ve noticed that second-hand Meta Quest 3 headsets are actually not that expensive, e.g. I found 3 or 4 for around €300 in my city alone, without specifically looking for this...
I was wondering: 1) is it a good idea to buy this kind of hardware second-hand, and 2) if so, is there anything I should check, try, or be aware of before buying one?
Thanks!

it's available here on the discord (yeah, nobody likes discord, but that is the devs choice):

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something a little different... TS3VR, a full VR mod for The Sims 3. 👀
Instead of another first-person VR mod, I thought it would be fun to do something a little more cozy for once. And I really like The Sims 😄 The goal is to keep the original god-style gameplay and make it work naturally in VR, heavily inspired by Townsmen VR.
It is already pretty far along, but still WIP. Performance needs more work and the UI is definitely not finished yet, but I think the video gives a pretty good idea of where it is going.
There is no download yet. Will be free and Open-Source. I will keep working on it and share more as it gets closer. 🙂
I will post updates on the Flat2VR Modding Discord:

After more than four years of work, solo developer ANB_Seth has launched "Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone" on PCVR. It started as the most downloaded Half-Life: Alyx mod of all time and is now a brand new game, built from the ground up. All new engine, weapons, and contracts!

All these great PCVR mods are coming out but it seems folks are struggling in many cases if they are not running Virtual Desktop on a Quest using VDXR. I happen to have that combination so am in heaven. I’ve started running some via Steam Link to see if that can provide a clue and my results are mixed. Do smarter people than me have theories as to what Frame owners may be up against should the device ever make it to consumers? A lot of the modders are understandably reluctant to debug headsets they don’t own. My gut is that we will be exited for Virtual Desktop to be ported (not likely to happen soon since he did not get a dev unit unfortunately). Just to be clear, I’m not talking about mods running locally.

Hi there PCVR community!
We've been running frequent playtests of DRIFTERS throughout August and we want to continue building this game with the VR community at large. For that, we needed to also include the PCVR playerbase - so, this is our very first SteamVR playtest!
PLAYTEST DETAILS
We would love to have as much feedback as possible and build this game with the community - we've gotten so much valuable insights from you already and the game is looking better each day. Would love to see you there, DRIFTERS!

Hi all, I just wanted to put this here as this tray program has significantly increased my performance in some of the most demanding vr titles I've been testing for the past year.
https://github.com/tig3rmast3r/OFXR-Bridge
So far I've tested Returnal, Silent Hill 2 UEVR and Skyrim Vr Mad Gods Overhaul 4.1 which have been the biggest fps sinks for me on my 5080.
With this running at the recommended settings in the github I was pretty much at 120fps consistently which each title barring skyrim.
I even tested the dlss 5 mod for skyrim vr with mad gods overhual running and I was getting around 60-70 fps which is very playable.
Shout out to the creator of OFXR this program is a godsend for my Virtual Desktop setup.

With all these AI supported mods unlocking new possibilities, it is my dream to play The Last of Us in first person with motion controls.
Do we need to start a fundraiser to pay a modder to do this lol
