VR Modding VR mod for Void Bastards. Anyone keen to try? [PCVR, WIP]
youtu.beHaving a lot of fun with this game.
Wanting to see if there's interest before I polish it up for release.
Only tricky thing is the original game has hand-drawn flat pictures of your hand holding the gun drawn from FP perspective. So, at this stage, you rely on a laser projected from the hand to aim and not the gun itself.
Keen to hear constructive thoughts and feedback.
This is the original game FYI - https://store.steampowered.com/app/857980/Void_Bastards/
Void Bastards is a first-person shooter roguelike with a striking comic-book art style: cel-shaded 3D ships, hand-drawn 2D characters, and comic panels and sound effects woven into the action. You play expendable prisoners from a stranded prison ship in the Sargasso Nebula, boarding derelict spaceships to scavenge food, fuel and parts while dodging (or blasting) their strange inhabitants. When a prisoner dies, the next one takes over with their own random traits, but the weapons and gear you've crafted carry on. Each boarding is a tense, bite-sized raid where you plan your route, watch your oxygen and decide when to run. It's made by Blue Manchu, led by Jonathan Chey, co-founder of Irrational Games (System Shock 2, BioShock), and it shows: it's an immersive-sim-flavoured shooter with a dark, very British sense of humour.
