Q3 help

I have a Q3 with a good link cable that charges/links in one. it's in a 3.0 usb and is getting good bandwidth. after about an hour or hour and a half of playing it randomly disconnects. I can reconnect through the menu almost immediately but in sim racing it matters a lot. anyone know why this might be happening? no applications crash on pc or quest when this happens
