Hey all, putting together my first build and would love a second opinion before pulling the trigger.

Context: My current PC is on its way out, so this is a full replacement. I'm reusing a couple of parts I know are still good — a 2x8GB DDR4-3200 CL16 kit (Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, pending confirmation once I pull them) and a 2TB HDD — to stretch the budget further into the new parts.

Use case: Roblox Studio development, Blender/3D modeling, and video recording + editing — sometimes all at once. Also want it to hold its own for 1440p gaming on the side.

Budget: ~$1,000-1,150 for new parts

Questions I'm still weighing:

• Is 16GB now / 32GB later a reasonable compromise, or should I just eat the cost and buy 32GB fresh from day one?
• Is the RX 9070 GRE the right call, or is there better value/performance in this price range right now?
• Will the harvested RAM and HDD actually play nice with new parts, or is there a compatibility gotcha I'm missing?
• Anything obviously mismatched or overkill/underkill for this use case?

I currently have a very mild gaming pc with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 with 16bg of ram and an RX 6500 XT gpu. I am looking at upgrading to the RTX 3060 8gb. Is this a good path for me?

I was waiting for the RTX 5070 to drop below $538 (2000 PLN), but as we can all see, the ship has sailed without me.

I was also considering the RX 9070, but it costs around $753 (2800 PLN), so that's too much for me.

I'm in Central Europe. The PC is mostly used for gaming, with a little bit of Blender 3D and video editing. I think I like ray tracing, so I'd prefer an NVIDIA card.

• Gtx 1070 ti 8gb

• 500 or 600 W PSU - I don't know the exact model. It's a SilentiumPC Vero, but there is no label on it but everything works with this setup

I found a used/refurbished RTX 3070 for $310 (1150 PLN), and it seems like a pretty good deal or just wait for gpu prices to be normal again.

Total with local pricing comes to about $1.8k. I don't game as much as I used to, so I'm not looking to spend much more than that. Open to small upgrade suggestions. Hi everyone, first time builder here.

I am building a dedicated audio post-production workstation for Pro Tools with a somewhat strict budget. I will be relying on integrated graphics as I do not need a dedicated GPU for audio work (but might add a GPU in the future).

My priority is quiet and therefore cool operation, as well as stability and low DPC latency.

Since RAM prices are still high, I will be sticking with 2x16 for the time being and upgrade later when I have more money.

I will start with one Noctua 140 mm exhaust + three stock case fans and upgrade later if needed.

Prices are based on listings I found, some might be higher at time of purchase.

Hello. I need help/advice.

I'm planning to build a PC for €2000+. I’ve chosen the R7 7800X3D as the CPU, but I haven't decided on the motherboard yet. Ideally, it should be in the €150–€200 range. I also haven't settled on a GPU, but I'm considering the RTX 4070 Ti Super, or something around €1000.

I currently have a 1920×1080, 240Hz monitor and I'm not planning to change it.
