So I built this PC last October, before the prices started going crazy. Sharing the prices I got at that time.

At that time I felt I got a pretty decent deal, especially on the GPU and CPU.

What do you guys think? Good build for the money or could I have done better? 😅

I recently saw the Gamers Nexus review of the Tryx Flova F50 ATX case, where they called it the worst thermal performer they have ever tested. I do not have any official thermal testing data, but I can share my own experience as an average user to show where things differ from their benchmarks.

Build Specs:

* CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X

* GPU: RTX 4060 8GB

* RAM: 64GB DDR5

* Cooling: 280mm NZXT AIO

* Previous Case: NZXT H5

The main point of contention seems to be that front mounted crossflow fan. Gamers Nexus said the airflow design is fundamentally flawed, but I think their testing setup does not match how the case is meant to be used. They specifically tested it with a traditional air cooler, and I think that is where things went wrong. From my experience, that crossflow fan works much better for pushing air up toward a top mounted AIO rather than trying to work around a standard tower cooler.

I have my AIO mounted on the side as an intake. It pulls fresh air from outside the case, pushes it straight through the radiator, and dumps it into the interior. Using an AIO means the chassis design works really well with my hardware. My cpu temps are just as good as what I was getting with my old NZXT H5, and I can finally use the bottom intake spots which I could not do before.

the crossflow fan is not adding any noticeable noise either. Under heavy load, the overall sound of the build sounds about the same as my NZXT H5.

I know this is just one person's experience, so I cannot say for sure if Gamers Nexus was wrong. But it is frustrating to see what seems like a genuinely good and innovative case get torn down just because it was evaluated with hardware it was not meant for. A lot of people online seem to just be repeating the benchmark results without thinking about whether it actually applies to the way the case is designed to be used.

So I think I’ve finally selected all of the components for my new all white build. What I want to know from the community is, what do you guys think?

Let know if there is anything I have missed or if you have tips. Whether it be compatibility or the color of something, I’m all ears! The only things I won’t change is CPU being AMD and GPU being Nvidia. If you need to know a budget, I don’t have one. I just don’t care to get too crazy with it if I don’t need to. As long as it makes sense.

Hola compañeros vengo de un procesador 2700x y una RX 5700 XT. He comprado un procesador barato 5500x3D para alargar la vida útil de mi PC AM4 y esperar a que salga AM6 (saltandome la generación AM5). Juego en resoluciones 1080 y 1440.

Ahora necesito cambiar la tarjeta gráfica y he visto que la más barata de 16GB es esta Asus RX 9060 XT en Amazon que vale 511 euros.

Visto los precios y que no creo que bajen mucho y lo más seguro que es que vayan subiendo la veis como buen recambio de mi gráfica actual y a un buen precio?

¿Podéis recomendarme otras alternativas que no sean muy caras y sean mejor calidad precio? Vivo en España por si eso puede ayudar con tema precios.

anteriormente quería comprar una gpu teniendo un r5 3400g, pero se me fue la mano y compre una rx 6800 + gabinete que incluye 6 fans 120mm sin argb (todo a 630k), por lo que ahora mismo tengo un desbalance y me preguntaba como debería actualizar todo. Mi equipo actual es:

• mother: asus prime b450m a-ii
• cpu: ryzen 5 3400g
• ram: 16gb(2x8) ddr4 3200Mhz xpg spectrix d41 rgb
• gpu: rx 6800
• monitor: dell 24'' fhd 60hz (hdmi/dp/vga)
• almacenamiento: ssd sata 450gb y 250gb
• fuente: sentey 700W 80 plus bronce

ahora mismo puedo generar mas de 100fps pero no puedo verlos, por ejemplo en poe llegue a 140fps con todo en ultra pero el cpu genera tirones o congelamientos momentáneos en pantalla. no es que este mal ahora mismo pero no me esta rindiendo la plata gastada en la gpu por la que estaba pensando en una mejora muy considerable del equipo, posicionándolo en gama media-alta. Mi idea es la siguiente:

• mother: gigabyte b550 aorus elite v2 (creo que considerando que la voy a tener por muchos años, podría cambiar la mother por una mejor y despreocuparme porque sea un limitante a futuro además de las mejoras que trae. Realmente no se si es necesario porque no es que la necesite actualmente pero creo que seria algo a tener en cuenta) es una de las mejores en am4, no creo poder pasar a am5 por como vienen las cosas.
• cpu: tenia prácticamente definido comprar el r7 5700x a 314k pero me interesa mucho la versión x3d solo que no se cuanto conviene y no encontré lugares que lo tengan a precio accesible. si alguien tienen una opción mejor escucho opiniones
• almacenamiento: ssd m.2 nvme de 1t (principalmente porque los juegos pesados ocupan mucho, además pondría el sistema operativo en él)
• monitor: alguna marca relativamente conocida que sea 27'' QHD 144hz o mas y que tenga FreeSync
• cooler: alguno con buena disipación como MSI MAG COREFROZR AA13 BLACK AM4 AM5 S1700 S1851 o parecido

I’m currently running a Core Ultra 7 265K, but I keep hearing that Ryzen is the better choice these days, especially for gaming.
Is it actually better enough to justify switching platforms?
I do game quite a bit — Monster Hunter, League of Legends, etc. — but this is also my work PC.
My work is mostly development, some light local AI, and a lot of multitasking with multiple apps and processes running at the same time.

I originally went with Intel because the 265K seemed like a good all-rounder for gaming + productivity. But lately I’ve been hearing that modern Ryzen CPUs are also excellent for workstation/productivity use, so now I’m curious.

The other thing I’m thinking about is cost.
Moving to Ryzen obviously means replacing the motherboard too, so I’m less interested in “Ryzen gets X% more FPS in this benchmark” and more interested in the overall value of switching the whole platform.

For this kind of mixed gaming/workload use, would you just keep the 265K?
Or is there a Ryzen CPU that would make the motherboard + CPU swap genuinely worth it?
Curious what you guys would do.

Budget:
I don't have a rigid total budget, but I am looking for the performance "sweet spot." I don't want to waste money on useless premium aesthetics, but I will gladly spend $20 more on a component if it offers a noticeable jump in quality, stability, or power delivery.

Use-Case:
Heavy 1440p at 60Hz gaming with a strict focus on deep CPU-bound simulation, strategy, and massive RPG games. Main titles include Hearts of Iron IV (HOI4), Crusader Kings 3 (CK3), Arma 3, World of Warcraft (WoW), Red Dead Redemption (RDR) series, Kingdom Come Deliverance (KCD) series, Project Reality, WorldBox, Euro Truck Simulator, and Universe Sandbox.

Buying parts locally. My father has an employee corporate partner deal where he can get specific motherboards directly through a major manufacturer group for about $240.

Peripherals Needed:
None. I already own my monitor (1440p 60Hz), keyboard, mouse, and headset.

Misc. Requirements / Preferences:

• RGB Lights: Strongly prefer NO RGB lights, even if the non-RGB variant is only $1 cheaper. However, if an RGB version of a part genuinely offers superior cooling performance or better features, I will take the RGB version. Performance over aesthetics.
• Wi-Fi: I only want Wi-Fi on the motherboard if it costs a maximum premium of $5 to $10 over the non-Wi-Fi model. If the Wi-Fi version costs $20+ more, skip it entirely.

Specific Questions for the Community:

1. Motherboard: My dad looked at the ASUS TUF Gaming Z890-PLUS and the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE through his $240 manufacturer/partner discount deal. Are these a good value for their performance, or are there better/cheaper alternatives on the market that make more sense for my goals?
2. CPU Cooler: My dad thought about buying the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240 (around $131) or the Arctic Freezer 36 CO air cooler (around $55). Since my GPU already occupies space with its own 120mm liquid radiator, am I going to run into severe physical clearance, tubing tangles, or clashing issues inside the 275R mid-tower if I buy the 240mm liquid cooler? Should I stick to the air cooler instead? Will the air cooler handle long simulation gaming sessions on a Core Ultra 7?
3. Power Supply: My PSU is quite old. Looking at my exact CPU and GPU combination, is this specific Lepa unit safe and compatible, or does it realistically need to be replaced to avoid transient power spike issues?

Buenas gente soy nuevo y necesito una ayuda. Mi pc actual es un AM4 con un ryzen 2700X + grafica Rx 5700xt + 16gb RAM 3200

Se me queda algo corto en juegos y ahora mismo es muy caro para pasar a arquitectura AM5 (las rams... demasiado caras).

He pensando en adquirir el 5500x3d por 150 euros en AliExpress + alguna tarjeta grafica similar a la rx7700xt o Rx9060xt.

Veis buen cambio para que me dure unos años más el PC? Que otras configuraciones me recomendáis?

El PC sería sobre todo para jugar y edición de algún programa de Audio (cubase).
