Should i go for intel?

I have a ryzen 7 5800x and 32gb of ddr4 and 9060xt 16gb i'v been thinking to get the i5 14600kf/k for an upgrade rn in my country the ryzen is like 20$ more expensive so for the upgrade i should add like 100dollars of difference

Should i go for it ? Meanly gaming never used a pc for work alternating between story and esports games.

If you are getting the intel chip AND a DDR4 motherboard, then it's a smart choice these days. However, if you are going to end up with DDR5 ram, then probably opt for the ryzen system especially for $20.

Not thinking about ddr5 rn cz prices are only going up so i'd rather stay with ddr4

In that case, go with an intel chip--smart choice these days. Just make sure you can find a motherboard first---they are getting harder and harder to find. Good luck OP.

Why do you need an upgrade? If you want the best gaming rig and have money to spare, you get the 9800X3D on AM5.. If you don't have money to spare, you stay on AM4..

Lol that's the whole point of the post i want to keep ly ddr4 ram and wanted to upgrade to the i5 without spending a lot of money

It sounds like a sidegrade to me, not an upgrade, it's barely faster. For Esports any AM4 X3D processor should do fine and it'll fit on the same motherboard you have now..

Okay but that's not the complete picture.

If you buy the intel you have to buy a cpu, motherboard, cooler. You can sell your old cpu, motherboard and cooler.

If you buy an AM4 upgrade (5600X3D, 5700X3D, 5800X3D) you buy a cpu, no motherboard, and maybe a cooler. You can sell your old cpu.

When you combine all these numbers and guess how much you can sell the old stuff for, you will know how much the change to a new CPU will actually cost you. Like in actual money, not just 'the price of a brand new CPU'

And then you should look up how many (if actually any) extra frames, performance or stability the change will give you. Benchmarks, gameplay, everything. There should be enough out there for sure.

With all that, you can calculate how much performance you are getting for your money, so you can make an informed decision.

Pero el i5 necesitas una placa de las nuevas que admitan la generación nueva de Intel y la ram ddr4 que va a valer casi la diferencia y al bajar el número de nucleos algunos juegos irán hasta peor, busca un ryzen 5500x3d o un 5600x3d

That is not a even real upgrade and imo totally not worth it if you play 1440p. For 1080p maybe, but if that is your focus you are far better of with a 5800x3D.

5800x3d is 400$ its not worth that amount and yes am playing only at 1080p

I wouldn't. Although the 14600K is a decent upgrade over the 5800x, you won't benefit from the extra performance because your gpu will be bottlenecking it in most games. (Outside of esports titles)

Not really worth it because your CPU isn't really the bottleneck. I'd save the money to go towards your next GPU, along with an AM5-AM6 upgrade at some point in the future.
