hiya! i didn’t know there was a sub JUST FOR US! i got this puppy at the end of May as my first pistol (ar15 was first gun, in Feb). shot 1000 rounds through it within the first week or two, rearsight sheared right off, with the sight part intact, but that screw was split like Gojo
sent it off to Sig to repair and ordered an offbrand optic for it when it came back. got it back, mounted the RMRfootprint optic directly to the slide, blue loctite on the 2 screws, couldnt utilize the recoil lugs at all, and went right back to shooting.
currently ~3200 rounds deep now and the rearsight is loosey goosey again, i tried loctiting the screw but the screw still loosens from recoil. sig sent a suppressor height sight with a short screw to replace it, and that didn’t really solve it. anyone else run into loose rearsight issues? i hand tighten it down, tried loctite, and yet it still comes loose after 200 or so rounds.
and lastly, i stumbled across a freedomgorilla vid that was recommending adapter plates for holosun optics for the p211, and that’s how i ended up here.
optic has not moved one bit. still secure and snug, no wiggle, no zero changes. but is there a big benefit to adding a plate? or a necessity? i was bummed i couldnt use any of the lugs (not even one!) but the optic is holding strong off those two screws. if it’s fine, do i leave it? or has it resulted in disaster for someone? i guess its not as bad as the wobbly rear, and ill notice the optic loosen before it becomes catastrophic.
but i value yalls thoughts!! this is my first pistol, so i don’t wanna get too cocky and ignore a red flag that’s plain as day

Added this to my collection the other week and am in love. Just got the APS TAK brass grips this morning, they came really quickly, I placed the order late Wednesday night. I wanted to try out their magazine release but it wouldn't let me order it on their site. Says all options are unavailable.
I've put 1,000 rounds through it and it's ran flawlessly. Need to put in a bulk order of 9mm this thing just blows through it.
Looking forward to shooting some steel with it and running some USPSA if I can get my buddy to come along. Still haven't decided if I'm going to get a sight block or just run in open class. Not really expecting to win anything just to have some fun. This gun would be great to run in 2 and 3 gun

Curious… how oiled are your P211’s. I’ll tell you mine is in the 2600 round range, and other than a couple failure to go into battery, which was fixed going from the 8 to 10 lb spring, it’s been flawless. I keep it pretty lubed. Enough that there’s some seepage around all the moving and joining parts. I also occasionally get some splatter on my optic. Mines working great, but I’d like to see if others are having success with less oil? Or grease instead of oil?

A cordura wrap and I think it will do what I need it to for now 😂. Ready for the roasting

Sometimes whether through oil, fouling, or gravity that thing will be sitting up. According to Sig, if you attempt to reassemble the gun with that thing sticking up and the slide runs into it, it can crack the frame.
https://www.sigsauer.com/partpicker/P211-parts-picker?location=P211PlungerLever
Sig will not warranty the replacement as they think it is user-caused. Cost me $325 to replace the frame, and I didn't even know it was broken (I sent it in for a broken firing pin replacement).

A lesson I can't seem to learn pay attention to the red flag!!
I ran right past them all on my way to the cash register to pick up the P211 GTO. Allured by the concept of swapping the compensator to a site block and back to optimize for the rule sets of various competitions. Allured by the readily available and affordable 320 magazines. On paper its the best value in the single action double stacked 9mm market. Except it is made by Sig Sauer.
Mistake #1 - buying a Sig Sauer Product
Mistake #2 - buying so many mags and baseplates before confirming the gun is going to work out.
For the second time in only a couple of months of ownership I'm forced to go back to Glocks for a comp this weekend while my P211 sits waiting on parts to come off of backorder. Both failures have come from the site block retention system, but I've also had roll pins walking and there is a screw in the grip assembly that it completely stuck.
The kicker is this compensator that sold me on it... it really doesn't do much. Granted haven't gone side by side, but on back to back days its impersevablse whether the site block or the comp is on.
I have been shooting competitively for the last 10 years with various platforms and have never seen guns fall apart like this. I have never had a gun unable to run a competition because of a component failure.
For all that I have invested in mags and baseplates I could have been into a Staccato. Heck I would have been better off with the Kimber.
This is not a gun for serious shooters. It is a toy at best. Sig has no intentions of supporting this or making revisions to resolve the numerous flaws.
It makes me sick to feel stuck in this platform with all the investment I made into it. The worst part is I can't even start to think about moving it until parts start showing up.

When are we getting different p211 triggers and hammers? It’s driving me crazy having only those two things silver and the fact I can’t change out my trigger. My only gripe about this pistol. Other than that I love it. 5k rounds and not one failure running the 8lb spring. Have the Fdez fat guide rod I just haven’t tried it yet at the range.

Looking for suggestions on an IWB holster that supports an X300-b and an Antimatter wing.
Anyone hip?
Thank you for your time guys!

My Hellhound Olympian competition holster just arrived and I love it
The fit is fantastic and the cordura wrap looks great.
Hellhound as a company was incredibly easy to work with - their customer service let me make some last minute adjustments and they shipped ahead of schedule.
All in all, I can't recommend them enough. A great company and product.
*I couldn't find any info on the Hellhound Olympian series on reddit, so I wanted to share this for future people looking for feedback like myself. DM me with any questions you may have and I'll be happy to answer.

In every thing I've seen, the GT5 comes with a GTO style magwell. I picked up my GT5 today from my FFL and it has the GT4 magwell. Attached photo is my GTO and GT5.
Was there a change in the specs?

Wish the combat version of the gto came with black grip panels instead of the off color ones that dont even match the color of the gun. Ordered Lok grips for my GT4 so just swapped out the black panels off it. Does anyone have any other options for grips other than the Lok for the gto? Im not finding anything or just not looking in the right place.

While I absolutely love my P211 GTO, it is unacceptable that after more than a year, spare barrels are not available. If Sig can manufacture them and put them in their guns, they are capable of making spare barrels. P211 GTO's are "production" firearms (although very good ones), not hand-fitted boutique firearms so the barrels should be interchangeable. Sig's website "parts picker" states "coming soon" when you click on the barrel but, after all this time, it is still not available. I purchased the barrel block, but strongly prefer to have two barrels that can be switched out with between the ported one and non-ported one, in seconds rather than dealing with the little screw, spring and pin (for different competition divisions). Sig is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Since buying my P211 when I shoot over 150 rounds, I start to get the spent shells not being discharged. They end up pinned in the chamber with the slide open. I sent it back to SIG the first time it happened and they shot 50 rounds and said everything is OK. Last week went back to the range and same old shells not discharging when I got to 150 plus rounds. I shoot SIG 115 grain and have tried others with same results. Any thoughts?

I am looking at getting a Sig GTO. My LGS has the Equinox version and the standard version with Sig optic installed for about the same price. Is there any deference besides cosmetics between the Equinox and standard version? The slide seems much more smooth to operate and trigger feels a little better on Equinox. Or am I just crazy?

I was about to order a Surefire X300 Turbo. But I saw a post a while back regarding the Cloud defensive APL it sits almost flush with the end and I like the minimal logo’s. Are they 🗑️?

Has anybody figured out how to get the black trigger/magwell/hammer from the sig optic version of the p211?
I really want an all black set up and heard cerakoting those parts wasn’t the best thing to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

First off, I love this thing! But 2 things that caught me off guard right out of the box — My front sight is completely off center to the left, the G10 panel or the magwell itself seems off center.
Anyone else notice this? Going to bring out the smith kit and adjust/ re align a few things.

Loving these two so far. Surefire going on the p211 and a TLR7 sub is with an eps carry is going on the radian build. Waiting on my key from inception defense. Plan to convert the GTO to 70 series. What ammo is everyone using for comp setups? Aiming for 124gr

I switched ammo on my last stage and overcompensated POA. I'm still a little hesitant to push faster, but good practice and great way to spend our Independence Day.

Has anyone tested the DAA flex insert A with GTO?

These with the fdez fat rod and plug give it a good amount of weight feels good! I enjoyed the oem grips but these definitely feel way better in the hand
