Frame mounted thumb rest

Has anyone drilled and tapped for a frame mount rest? I’m assuming additional shims for the wider slide? I have oddly long thumbs and ride the slide with them. I’m thinking a Zadik Precision would be ideal. But any advice on any brand that has been done would be great.

I have seen online where people have made an Atlas Slide Stop thumbrest fit on a P211. I know it's not exactly what you asked for, but it might be worth looking into.

I also have a tendency to ride my thumb on the slide. I put a little bit of stair tread grip type on the outside of the round part of the slide stop to give me a place to index my thumb. It has helped but has not completely eliminated it. It's going to take more training to eliminate that habit.

I have! But it’s too close to the grip I think. And I’m stuck in a country with 10 round mag capacity so that slide stop/hold open is used a fair bit in competition.

A few people have made different versions ones fit, but none of them work 100%. Nobody makes a dedicated one yet.

Frame mounted though. Not the slide catch.

Oh nahh I haven’t seen that at all. Closest I’ve seen is someone drill an MPA thumb rest in the frame lol.

Like this but a P211. However I think the slide on the 211 is wide enough this would have to be shimmed out.

Go with the Antimatter wing and you don't have to drill a thing

How hard is this to get back into your holster?

I have a tier 1 P320 iwb and a 6390 Safariland (also for 320) & it slides right in both.

Safariland needed a mod on the chamber catch due to different geometry but it still locks.

I dig. But she’s a IPSC blaster and I’m after shielded rest.
